[#431] Little Saint Nick

Even though I feel like this is still way way too early to be doing these kind of posts. To plead my case is that I’m featuring a new pose that right now is available at “The Naughty List” event. So that at least gives me cause and some justification though I would normally wait a little bit longer to do Christmas themed posts as I tend not to do them well.

Consider this the beginning of These Conversations Kill’s seasons greetings. I have to admit that while this scene is a little racy compared to my usual offerings, I thought it would be a little fun and give this pose it’s due. Image Essentials has provided the Naughty List (4) pose as a part of my partnership with them and as I said above it is at “The Naughty List” event which runs from the 9th of December until the 31st so there’s plenty of time. Not only is there two poses for the fellas there are other poses in this series. Go check out the event and see if there’s something that might aid you in creating your 2017 Christmas Card!

The above shot I have to say gives me a bit of a chuckle. The way I took it seems to imply that “Hipster” Santa as I refer to the look as…is doing something more than just inspecting the Christmas tree. However, I assure you that there weren’t any shenanigan’s of any sort going on. At least it was fun to take a break from my more serious blog posts.

Also featuring in this post are one of the new releases from MESANGE that is available at We Love RP. I’m also wearing a hair that is a part of a new group from Taketomi and Burley brands respectively. I’ll give you a little more info about it down in the credits section. Many people are going to be excited about this I can assure you.

I’m sure you are asking “What is Taketomi Club?” This is where I tell you! It is a new in-world group (joining fees apply but at the moment it is incredibly cheap) where both Taketomi and Burley release new items every two weeks for the price of 50L for a FATPACK. That’s right you can get an entire set of hair for almost nothing. However after the two weeks the price of the current hair release will go up to 450L (which is still quite affordable). This is a really great opportunity for hair enthusiasts to be able to get entire packs of hair.

The “Xander” hair that I’m wearing in this current look comes with a mirror HUD so that you can wear the hair on either side of your head and also all the color HUDs to suit your desires. Part of the centerpiece for this scene…because what is Christmas without a tree? This tree comes in several versions (Regular, FAMILY, and Adult for those who really want to be naughty) and is very detailed and would look great in just about any home setting. Taking the taxi to the store will give you the option to test all the versions of the tree to see which best fits your individual needs.

The primary item that started the whole process of making this scene happen. The package comes with two versions of the pose (a simple static pose as well as a rezzable poseball version which is what I used). The best part about it that it includes the Santa Hat that I am wearing to accessorize and truly be the bringer of the jolly. I really got a kick out of this pose and look forward to working with the other male pose in the next little while.

The fall bug has hit the pages of These Conversations Kill for another year. This being the first time that I’ve done a seasonal scene in 2017 but I wanted to make sure I got this in before any other weather started to take over. I’d had this idea formulated in my head since last year but the time just rolled by me and it became too late in my mind to try and put it together.

After waiting a year I finally was able to get it off of my list of ideas and into virtual reality photography. The honest truth is I think it turned out better than I expected because not every bit of the look I chose for this was around at that time. Much of these items being recent releases as of the last month or two. Some of them even just having come out.

As the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches many families will get together and go out into their yards or a nearby park and play a little catch or touch football. I thought I would try capturing that feeling with the pose set that I am using. I think all of the items I pulled together to create this made the feeling a little magical as I was taking the photos and listening to the song that inspired me to do the session in the first place.

Once again I was on location and revisited a place where I’d done photos at before but it was a while ago and I do not recall it having a fall theme to it. The Mill is a very photogenic spot and a great place to explore even if you are not a photographer. It’s a very peaceful place and right now it is a very fall-centric spot for those of you who enjoy beautiful colors of autumn.

MESANGE has given me the privilege of featuring the “Solunis Eyes” for this entry as they are a part of the list of designer’s that feel I am worthy enough to review their products. These eyes are certainly very colorful and I’ll give more of my thoughts on them in the style credits below.

The eyes are a part of the Hipster Men’s Event which I’ve also had the pleasure of taking a stroll through the current November round. Lots of great poses, clothing, and accessories to be had, one of which is the FABIA “Rich” Hair/Beanie combination. With the weather becoming more chilly, wearing a hat like this would certainly keep a person comfortable.

I’m sure you’re likely wondering why I would list this item as hair when in the photos you clearly see that it is just a beanie. Well my friends this is more than just a beanie, there are three versions of this beanie (the one you see in these photos and two others with different hair lengths). I may actually wear this again to show you one of the other versions. I purchased the FATPACK which for the amount of colors you get is worth the price tag if you are someone like me who doesn’t always stay with the same hair color all the time. Previously released at an event, this shirt (well honestly I’d call it more of a shirt with a sweatshirt underneath) has a lot of different color options. This pose set comes with 6 different action poses depicting the game of American football. While they are really meant to be used in a setting with where there is a real field and uniformed players, I managed to make them work for the idea that I envisioned when putting this scene together. I think they can definitely also be used for other types of football photos as well.

Excellently made but to give a brief warning, they are not Bento enabled as they were created before it was released.

As you may have noticed, I did a mini makeover to the layout of the site and will be continuing to do maintenance on it a little bit until I’ve reached my own personal satisfactory level. I find that change can be a good thing after a while if you feel like something doesn’t look right to you anymore or feel like it could use a “new coat of paint” as it were. There were some things I felt that were a necessity personally for me and for the site, which you’ll easily notice that the header remains unchanged. It may get tweaked a little as well but I’m not as much into a hurry to delve into that.

As the season is starting to change and in my part of the world the daylight doesn’t last as long as it did even a few weeks ago, along with the leaves starting to turn color and falling from the trees..I feel a bit hesitant to start purchasing clothing that is better used in open outdoorsy type scenes. I have a few things in mind that could be coming up but first I want to try and get other things done that have been tucked away in my brain.

This scene’s overall look is a hodge-podge of a lot of different things. Most of it from events that are just about to end their current rounds to ones that have just started. Not to mention the Marketplace, where I have been finding quite a few things to use in my photo sessions.

For this entry I only have one featured product from my brand collaborators. MESANGE has been kind enough to share with me “The Ripple Eyes” from the current round of Men Only Monthly. I’ll give you a few more specifics in just a bit down in the credits portion of this post.

I also managed to make trips to The Men’s Department which recently opened a little over a week ago; I also stopped at the newest round of Man Cave which surprisingly I did not find as much as I normally do but I still didn’t leave there empty handed (I’m a habitual shopper, I can’t help it!)

I really feel like this scene turned out really well. I wasn’t trying to overthink the windlights and felt that my use of LUMIPro turned out decent. Sometimes I even wonder if I’m putting it to use the right way but it is easy to second guess yourself. You’ll probably also notice the color scheme of my clothing and yeah I was feeling a bit nerdy at the time so I went with something a bit obvious.

With another scene in the books I hope that you’ve found at least one thing interesting and will take the provided transportation to the stores and events I’ve linked to. This is not a new item but I couldn’t help but make the comment that it is one of my most favorite hairs in my entire inventory. I’ve worn it many times as it has been out for what seems like forever but still holds up with all the newer products being sold on the market today. It’s been moved to the Tableau Vivant Marketplace as it is no longer for sale in their store. Guys who are looking for a longer hair that might be what you’d consider vintage but still stands tall…check this out, you won’t be disappointed.

When I was browsing the Man Cave event, I came across this pretty cool tanktop. There were several color choices and I was a bit vexed when it came to choosing but as I stated earlier I was feeling a bit nerdy so I with with Purple. I would have probably liked the FATPACK for the special edition colors that came with it but at the moment I’m on a bit of a budget so I had to sacrifice and pick one. I’m certainly not disappointed with the fit of this tank. Originally my idea for the scene was to go without a top but when I saw this I knew for sure this would be perfect for a workout scene.

Most people (mind you I say most but not all) do their workouts in either shorts or some kind of track pants so that’s the idea I had in mind as I was putting this together. Yack is a brand that I’ve purchased items from before and went to their store recently for something different and these pants caught my attention. I hadn’t started putting this look together yet so I didn’t get them right away but I do go back to set the final touches to my look. The included HUD has so many color options (with stripes and solid) as well as the ability to change the color of the string tie. It was a very good bargain for what I received and definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to put together a recreational outfit such as this.

This little hole in the wall would be the perfect place for some bachelor to just hang his hat at the end of the day and get in a good workout before calling it good. It might be a little bit downtrodden (okay it’s actually really downtrodden but it has it’s charms). I really like the detail with this skybox as it is another fine backdrop from ISUKA. If you haven’t check them out yet then what are you waiting for? Their builds help paint masterpieces.

Animosity – Gym Flow @ TMD ♯ NEW

Need to get your burn on bro? (Sorry reminded me of a commercial and couldn’t help myself). Animosity has come out with a really cool workout pose set which is bento enabled and comes with two versions of the pull up bar. I really like how this turned out but the only thing I might have changed…well actually more like added would have been to include a salmon ladder like Oliver Queen uses in the Arrow TV series. Now it’s more than unlikely that the brand creator for Animosity will see this but if you do happen to read it…maybe an update? Would be cool to see.

It’s been a while since I have done an entry that wasn’t an emotionally charged theme and just totally let loose and show some of my more humorous side. I like to try and do all sorts of different things with the medium that I work with. I also like to show that I can do funny or poke fun at myself as well to show that I’m not so tightly wound. This definitely fits that category and I did it with the help of items that can be found at The Dark Style Fair 4, The Men’s Department, Men Only Monthly and The Avenue.

I may not have mentioned it in previous posts but it is the 5th anniversary of The Men’s Department and I remember being at the very first one even though I was not very active in-world at the time I wanted to check out what all the hoopla was about. I was impressed then and I’ve continued to stay that way throughout the years and supporting the event as best as I could through whatever means possible. I’ve always found something in every round since the beginning and it makes me glad to know that those behind the event keep striving to bring males the items and designers we sorely need to stay stylish, so thank you TMD for making my job a smidge easier.

While I am on the topic of TMD, my item for this look is the “SEAN” skin by STRAY DOG. I knew the moment I saw the advertisement on Flickr that I would need to feature this somehow. The face can show a hint of mischief if using the right animation on the CATWA Daniel HUD. It’s one of those faces that has that air of confidence bordering on cocky. It comes with a HUD that you can choose whether or not you want to have freckles, there is an applier for both. It also comes with an eyebrow and body shape unless you have one of your own that you prefer to use. I experiment with this kind of thing quite often but I chose to use the one included and the look truly appealed to me.

Tattoos are not something I do a lot of with my looks as most of my styles have longer sleeves or just cover up most of the art which renders it meaningless of what it’s purpose is, which is to be displayed. It’s also not because I dislike tattoos as that is not the case as I am the proud owner of ink in the real world. With that said, there are about three to four different tattoo creators that I enjoy products from, ISUKA is no exception. For this look I am featuring the “Gabriel” tattoo which has a very detailed scene which comprises of a chest plate and full sleeves combination. The product contains legacy tattoos as well as appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, Gianni, Omega, and TMP with three different opacity choices (Fresh, Normal, and Faded). It is a very well done tattoo and I encourage you to at least give it and the ISUKA brand a look if you are fan of ink.

Yack is a brand that before finding them at The Avenue I had never heard of. The mens boxers they have for sale (two different texture versions) are very nicely done and if you are the kind of person that enjoys relaxing around in just that well then this product will appeal to you. I purchased the Printed version but am highly considering going back before The Avenue ends to pick up the solids pack. Tthe package contains sizes for Adam, Aesthetic, Gianni, SLink Physique, and TMP with two versions: regular and “exposed” for those of you who are a bit more daring.

Exile is featuring the “Outsider” hair at The Dark Style Fair 4. With the new rich textures that Kavar Cleansate has begun to use in the new era of the brand, it was hard not to splurge and pick up the “All or Nothing” pack. This ear length hair is great for those of you who like having hair that is not short but also not down to your neck or farther. It seems that Exile has been releasing more female items but I expect that to change in the near future and I await with anticipation what he has in store for us fellas.

A few posts back I re-visited the “Ardor Eyes” from Avi-Glam. No sooner did I publish the post I received a delivery of an update adding new iris colors that were not previously included. I like that Avi-Glam takes care of their products and sees opportunities to enhance or update them and for those who previously purchased them are given the new product instead of having to re-purchase them to gain access to those colors that were not available when it first was released.

My last little bit of information for you is about the pose I used for this look. It is the “Kevin (Revisited)” set by Poseology which I originally obtained at the Pose Fair but didn’t have an idea to put it to use during the event. This set of poses are mainly used for those who might be body builders and or more muscular than yours truly which is why I had a little fun with it.
