[#682] Judas In My Mind

Oh, this guilt is a heavy cross
There is blood on the path I walk
And each step I take is haunting me

Fozzy, ♫Judas♫

Personally I have never been one to have an overly muscular avatar either in my every day interactions or for photos but I thought I would give it a try. Tellaq has been around for almost as long as I can remember so with the name recognition I decided to photograph one of their skins that is an exclusive right now to the Skin Fair. Before I talk about it though I want everyone to keep in mind that it is made for the Actonon Mesh Body 2.0 that can also be purchased at the event.

The “Bitcher” skin by Tellaq is specifically for the CATWA Skell head and Actonon Body. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is a take on the popular video game and now Netflix series “The Witcher”. It only comes in the tone that I’m blogging but the CATWA applier HUD does offer lots of different choices of scars, beard and hairbase styles. It is a detailed skin which would be great for fantasy sim type roleplaying and for those that take a lot of fantasy inspired pics for their blogs or for the fun of it.

Another fun item at the event is the “Cheeky Carving Pack 1” by Rekt Royalty. The best way I can think of to describe it other than by the pictures is that it is a fresh wound that is likely the result of going to a body modification artist and having scarification done. The pack includes BOM layers and an Omega Applier HUD with 6 different designs. I chose to go with the lightning design because it best fit my personality and what I wanted with this look.

Sometimes the person you’d take a bullet for is behind the trigger.

[#517] Hold On!

I am torn in two…
Hold on, hold on, we’re barely alive
I am faded through…
Hold on, hold on, the fallen arise
I will fight this world for you
And let the dawn of love survive
Broken, I crawl back to life

Breaking Benjamin, ♫Torn In Two

Finding a good spot to set up a scene/photograph for a blogger is one of the most important things for the style of blogger that I feel that I am. Many bloggers tend to use green screen along with backgrounds they create themselves or find a royalty free photo. The way I prefer to do things is finding a location in-world that fits my mood or if nothing seems to fit then I look for the right backdrop but they have to fit or it tends to be a long day or evening depending on when my setup begins.

My friend, Yosh Shi (Merlin on Facebook) owns and runs not only a great retreat area but also have just started a new nightclub project. He was kind enough to let me poke around during non operating hours to see if something would click for me. The atmosphere is best described at least in my mind as a mixture of steampunk and gothic elements. It truly felt inviting to me as I arrived at the landing point which is a long dock that leads to the club. I changed my lighting to what the sim calls for and it is overcast to match the rain that surrounds you.

I don’t want to spoil the experience for you if you do happen to visit so I shall abstain from giving you any further details about the layout but I will say that after looking around the setting by the fireplace caught my attention and the work was about to begin.

The Men Jail is about to wrap up for the August round but I wanted to get one more product in that I thought was rather cool. For the event, Gild released a tanktop with circular cuts in its design which I think is perfect for the the rave/club scene. Posh (which is the name of the club where my photos were taken) tend to have a lot of rave type parties which as of yet I have unfortunately been able to attend due to the time of day they normally occur but I will make it to one of them soon.

Those who are looking for something unique in men’s clothing then I’d certainly give this a closer look.

Gild Zebra Cut Tank features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • 5 different colors to choose from
  • Fitted sizes for both Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni)
  • Exclusively @ The Men Jail until August 28th

The Man Cave is in it’s second week and Modulus has a new hair which I am wearing for this photo. “Marcus” is a a near mid length hair that is combed to the side and the reason I liked it for this particular look is that it didn’t cover my eyes or any of the other facial things that I wanted to feature in the blog (which I will get to shortly). All the things that fans of Modulus come to expect are all here with an added surprise that I was not anticipating when I opened up the package.

For the first time (at least to my knowledge) there are combed versions for both sides of the head so that way if you have a personal preference you can choice without being conflicted. I love this and I hope they continue to do this for future releases even though it could potentially be a lot more work; I don’t know how mesh things are made. For the first time I also used the blond pack with the integrated color picker and I really love how it turned out.

With that said though I do hope they continue to bring things like this to the table to even further cement their brand as a top hair brand.

Modulus Marcus Hair features:

  • 100% original mesh
  • 40 colors (five HUDs with Fatpack available)
  • Integrated color picker in every HUD
  • Left and right versions included
  • Exclusively @ Man Cave until Sep. 09th

Go&See recently released an add-on at the Blush event but before I could finish my editing and write this blog it sadly ended but the great part is that it will become a release to the store (and or marketplace). The “wasted” eyebags are meant to display a hard night of partying but for those of you who do not have the type of lifestyle (and I’m one of them usually) they could also be used to show how someone is burning the candle at both ends. I think in the case of me being in a club that it fits more of the partying context.

Outside of skins and eyes, Go&See provides add-ons like the eyebags as well as make-ups and lashes. These kinds of products help add to the realism of not only of our photos but also our avatars as well and I’d like to see more interesting things like this in future releases.

That is what’s new to me so I am going to wrap this up so I can get you to the credits; I would like to thank Yosh Shi for allowing me to take these photos at Posh and if you are in the mood to check it out I will leave you a taxi to give it a look yourself and visit there to find out when upcoming events are happening there. It is a really cool place and very different from most clubs that I’ve encountered and I say that truthfully in a good way.

Hope you’ll check back in with the blog soon I have some exciting news to reveal in my next post but until our paths cross again, onto the next conversation…

[#513] Dark Necessities

Do you want this love of mine?
Darkness helps us all to shine
Do you want it? Do you want it now?

Do you want it all the time?
But darkness helps us all to shine
Do you want it? Do you want it now?

Red Hot Chilli Peppers, ♫Dark Necessities

Normally when I set up scenes I find a really good sim to photograph myself in or a backdrop (possibly even try to attempt to decorate something myself if I’m inspired enough) but this time I decided to go very bare bones and with some choice lighting I decided to give shadows and the dark a try to convey the visual that I’m looking to portray.

The Men Jail opens its cell doors up tomorrow for the new round and while I was looking through all the fun assortment of items I came across something I normally do not see at events or even most of the stores that I frequent. RL Fashion released a mesh razor that fits in your mouth so it looks like you are holding it between your lips and teeth. I feel that it reminds me a little bit of one of the scenes in The Dark Knight where The Joker is telling Rachel Dawes a version of the story about how he got his scars and goes on to say that he stuck a razor in his mouth which is what caused them.

With that in mind I kind of created my own scene in my head with someone that isn’t all right in the brain space with a razor in his mouth but let me preface this and say that cutting is not a healthy choice but some feel that it is necessary to deal with some of the things that life throws their way. I wish for no one to harm themselves and if there is a way to seek guidance and help for situations like this, please talk to someone.

The razor prop while it is unique I feel has one small fatal flaw, it is rigged and cannot be resized or adjusted which might be a problem for some users. It seemed to work well with my Vista Animations “Gerard” head with the right facial animation but I cannot vouch for anyone other mesh head products.

This blog post is likely one of the most simple ones I’ve done in probably any of the ones I have done (and I’ve likely said that before but this truly is trying to be creative in the most minimalist way possible. Having a great background behind you is a lot of fun but doing things you may not have tried before or have been too afraid to (such as not keeping the background free to help set the mood of the photo).

For my outfit I am using an item that had once been featured at The Men Jail but was before I was chosen as an official blogger. The owner of the Joker’s Asylum store is someone I talk to from time to time and I feel like we are friends considering our passion for certain fictional characters which is a great friendship building tool.

The “Straight Jacket Outfit” is something I consider just as unique as the mouth razor and something you might not generally see in a lot of places. It’s not your traditional straight jacket or asylum patient’s attire. It really has a style to it which coincides with some of the things I like (I’m not always straight formal wear or urban wear; I like to mix it up.) I knew the right time for this would come in handy much like a lot of the things I purchase at events and don’t blog right away, they have their time and place…this would be it.

Joker’s Asylum Straight Jacket Outfit features:

  • 100% mesh construction
  • Consists of three parts (Jacket, Vest and Pants)
  • Pants have two types (regular leg and bootcut)
  • Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Geralt and Gianni)

Since I said I would be keeping this brief I feel that wrapping things up for this post will be a good idea. There’s plenty of things that I’d like to get into especially some of my TMD items as well as the great new Cold-Ash boots from the event as well. There are also new styles from Modulus for me to work with as well as some other fun stuff.

Also I in future posts I may be using items from the Men’s Only Hunt that started up on the 1st of the month. It’s always fun going hunting for some really cool prizes and from some of the ads I have seen for things that are part of the hunt…I need to get a jump on that before I find myself out of time to grab them. I should be back to my norm and out on location for my next work or using a backdrop but it was nice trying to do something different and maybe it will give me more inspiration to do it again in the future or it will be a lesson not be as adventurous…we shall see.

So until our paths cross again, onto the next conversation…

[#485] I Hope You’re Somewhere Praying

I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying
I hope your soul is changing, changing
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, praying

Kesha, ♫Praying

Recently I was given a name and a taxi to a location by a friend who had used it in one of their photos because I wanted to see what I could do with it myself. That’s one of the great things about photographers, they can come up with their own vision using something that might have already been photographed but done in a different way.

2elwe is an interesting location and very good for mood; it’s what I would consider to be post-apocalyptic based on the fact that it is desolate and rainy. When I roamed around and found my exact spot. The direction I thought I could take this was maybe a bit of a prequel/sequel to my blog entry “After The Storm” with the rain being so far away. A way to look at it is the story could go from being in the middle of the storm and traveling to finally get out of it.

The last time I posted I shared that I have become a partner with the Native Urban brand, which I am happy to be a part of their blogging family. There are so many great and different styles of clothing and accessories to choose from and the quality is excellent. I remember the first time that I encountered products from them was at the SWANK event. I stopped right away when I came to their booth and knew that I had never seen them before but I liked what I saw and instantly made a purchase.

For my first blog post to feature them as a blogger for their brand, I am wearing the limited edition version of the Anjuna Sweater from the Limit8 event. I really love the style of this product and I’m going to refer to it as a hoodie because that’s what it is to me. I’m wearing the Belleza Jake version which comes in two different “sizes”. There is a version with a more open hood for people who want to wear hair with it and a closer version like I have on for those who choose not to. One of the things I like best is the varying lengths of the sleeves as most items you see are always the same length which makes this a bit more unique in design. For non Belleza body owners this also comes with sizes for Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique mesh bodies.

Only 100 copies of this are being sold and it is still available but you need to act fast because once they are gone, they are gone forever. The Limit8 event runs until the 13th of May but you may not want to wait until the last minute because this great item will be gone.

Given the location I was photographing at and the main item of my look was the Anjuna Sweater, I figured that I would go with a bit of an urban look mixed with a bit of nerd (I’m all about fusion…well maybe). Jeans are always something I’m looking at when I am out shopping and there are always a lot of different options and styles of denim that make it hard to decline.

During the April round of The Men’s Department I grabbed the FATPACK of the “Loose Straight” jeans by ::K:: (by Kitt Ragu). I love the look of these and having the option of wearing (or not wearing) a belt is a cool option. A lot of the times with jeans you don’t get a choice of being able to add or subtract the belt and it is harder to pair it with things for fear of clipping into one another (which is a pain as I’m sure anyone who has ever been a blogger/photographer can attest to). The FATPACK includes 6 different denim colors that fit Belleza, Signature (Geralt & Gianni versions) and also SLink Physique mesh bodies.

You can pick these up at the mainstore and if you are a jeans collector like myself, you’ll want to go take a look at these.

As I wrap this up I have some really good ideas (or what I think to be at least) for some photos in the next little while so stay tuned for cool fashion, hair, and poses from my favorite brands such Cold-Ash, Native Urban, Modulus and Image Essentials. Also throw some things in from events like Kustom9, Men Only Monthly, and The Men’s Dept (which opens Saturday the 5th!).

Until the next time our paths cross, onto the next conversation…

[#472] I Will Be There Once More…

You don’t have to stray
Two oceans away
Waves roll in my thoughts

Pearl Jam, ♫Oceans

Whenever I come across a Fisherman’s beanie (whether it be one with or without hair included) I feel that my scenes should have something to do with water and boats and or both. So after I received the Kenny hair from Modulus my first thought would be to find a location with those things in mind. Fortunate enough for me as I was looking at one of my resources for locations to potentially take photos at I instantly saw Erebos Harbor and I took a cab there.

Shortly after I started to explore and walk around, I found the perfect location. There was a dock with several boats and a great view of the ocean and that to me felt like a winner. After getting set up and getting everything just right (in my eyes anyway) I went to work and from that this photo came to pass.

Lighting is something I struggle with at times and half of the time getting things to look how I think they should (or want them to). With this pic I do feel like all the conditions were right and I was satisfied with the outcome and I do hope it shows to anyone taking a look as well.

At the beginning of the post I mentioned the Kenny hair by Modulus, which is available right now at Shiny Shabby (openened on the 20th). It’s a well made fisherman’s beanie with a fringe of hair coming out of the front and a little bit on the sides. I’ve been going with brown hair lately mainly because mine is that color in the real world. The hair comes in 5 color packs each with an integrated tinting HUD which also serves to help change the fabric color of the beanie (6 different shades).

If I were to do anything different about my look I would have given myself more facial hair, maybe more of a fisherman’s beard to go along with the beanie but it still turned out as a good look that works for me. Focusing on different angles and more singular products feels like it has been working out better for me since I started doing things a little bit differently

Recently I’ve just been posting one primary picture on the blog and not doing more than one but because I enjoyed the scenery around me at Erebos Harbor, I thought I would capture myself from another angle and get more of the water, and with the type of ambience I had really just gave me that feeling that I made the right choice by deciding to come here.

You’ll also notice that I’m wearing the Fugitive Flannel from Razor that I picked up while I was browsing The Clique event when I was there. Actually there were a few things I grabbed but whether I get around to blogging them while the event is running is yet to be seen. A lot of irons in the fire going on right now and I definitely do not want to burn myself out or not think of it as being fun. That is one of the sure signs and death knell’s of a blogger.

A few more details about the Flannel are that it comes fitted for Belleza male bodies but also has fits for several women’s bodies and it is made so that it is loose fitting to avoid anything poking through that might do so. I am wearing the blue version but it also comes in both black and yellow just in case blue is not a color you tend to wear a lot. I wear a lot of things that are usually black so it was down to blue or yellow for me and while yellow would have been fun, I think when the idea for this photo was formulating blue was the best choice.

Recently I found out that myself and 19 others (Lucky was also included in the 20 woohoo) were selected as the official bloggers for Pose Fair for 2018. I couldn’t be more excited as I’ve been going to the event for longer than I can remember as a consumer and this year I will be a part of it as a blogger. This is one achievement that I honestly never expected but I am going to make the very best of it. For the other official bloggers, congrats on your being selected as well I know some great work is going to come out of this all around.

The event starts April 1st and runs through the 30th so you have a whole entire month to check out all the goods that will be showcased to help you aid you in your creative blogging and photography. I have seen a lot of the designers that are apart of this and there are well known stores and there are some that you may not be familiar with and I hope to help bridge that as well.

It’s once again that time for me to wrap this up and look towards the future (as now I have plenty to plan for). We’ll see what tomorrow brings and I hope that I can get those creative brain waves going on whatever and wherever I am lead to. If there’s anything you might have a question about feel free to contact me through social media which you can find the access to on the right sidebar of the page or in the about me section.

Until then onto the next conversation…

[#467] Closing Time

Closing time
Time for you to go out to the places you will be from
Closing time
This room won’t be open ’til your brothers or your sisters come

Semisonic, ♫Closing Time

Today 7 out of 10 Americans are likely out celebrating the holiday of St. Patricks Day, now while the day has different meanings to different people it usually gets associated with people drinking to the point of collapse (but not in all cases). Enjoying libations in a responsible way and hanging out with leprechauns sounds like an ideal time.

Several different songs came to mind when I was piecing things together ranging from George Thorogood to Dropkick Murphy’s but my mind steered me towards something different and it happened to be a pretty popular tune in the 90’s so I decided to hitch my wagons to it. Many a karoake machine is probably filled with this song which makes it that much better of a choice. It’s probably certain that you’ve sung it at some point in your life.

This is the third post I’ve done with coverage for Skin Fair, along with featuring the CATWA “Skell” mesh head that is an exclusive to the event I am also wearing an exclusive skin named “Dash” by Go&See. I really like how to two pair together, I think that I kind of have that Irish look about me that I was going for when I started putting the look together; if I wasn’t featuring a new hair I probably would have accessorized with a flatcap for added style.

“Dash” as I said is an exclusive and comes in Goth, Pale, Summer, Tan and Dark Tan with head appliers for both CATWA products and Omega enabled mesh heads as well. This may not have been mentioned in the previous blog I featured the “Danny” skin in but Go&See has also released newer body appliers to go along with these skins and can be purchased at Skin Fair as well as in store. I am also going to make an amendment to what I wrote in about the “Danny” shape in the previous post as well. It is sold separately as is the shape for “Dash” but you will be able to grab them up at the Fair while you are there.

This time I wore my own personal shape but I feel it doesn’t alter the face or skin at all and you can also see what it looks like with my Nivaro “Rugged” beard that seems to be becoming a regular addition to my look.

The Men’s Deparment is about halfway through the March round and I’m showing off this really cool hair named “Matt”. It’s a nice little short side swept hair that you can wear a shaved hairbase to give it a closely cropped look or just wear a normal one to make it look natural and not shaved. This is the first time I’m actually wearing a shade from the “Reds” color pack. Of course you have the option to purchase the 5 color packs (Blonds, Browns, Monochromes, Reds and Vibrants) or get all of them together in a FATPACK which saves you some dough. I’ve talked about the color HUDs have a color picker so that you can actually change your hair to a shade that isn’t in any of the packs which really gives you more than 25 options. Lots of choice and a great quality product as I’ve come to experience from Modulus.

Spring has not yet set in yet in most places so I thought it would work out well for me to use the “Chesterfield Coat” by ::K:: to keep my avatar comfortable as he heads out the door as the bar starts closing up. I really like longer coats and the add-on scarf is a great touch which you can change the color/pattern of with it’s included HUD. It fits great and and it’s one of those things that I never have to worry about when I see something that’s been made by Kitt Ragu. The Chesterfield Coat fits anyone with a Belleza, Signature (Gianni) or SLink mesh body. Take a cab from the credits below to give it a closer look!

What is a St. Patrick’s Day photo without a bar setting? This super backdrop is from Paparazzi, who I have featured on more than one occasion and for a very good reason. The quality of the work in the mesh and textures help any photographer/blogger get the results they are looking for and it’s not going to zap their wallets (or purses for the gals).

A week ago for Fifty Linden Friday I went to Commoner and picked up this “Pint of Pilsner” which comes in the green version I’m using and also an amber version. I purchased them both knowing that at some point I’d be able to use them for something and it must have been foresight that I picked up the green one because it occurred to me while I was setting up that I had this and made sure I included it into the shot.

I also have to give a shout out to WRONG & The Owl for another cool pose collaboration. I remember the #10 pose set being at Men Only Monthly for the Dec/Jan round and wasn’t sure what I might need it for but the ad for it depicts a wine flute but alcohol is alcohol so I switched it out for some beer without any issues.

That just about wraps up another blog entry for me but keep your eyes peeled for my final coverage of Skin Fair and some of the other events that are starting up or have started up recently (Kustom9 and Men Only Monthly among others). Have a safe evening and rest of the week and and maybe I’ll see you out and about!

[#464] Sharp Dressed Man

Top coat, top hat,
I don’t worry ’cause my wallet’s fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin’ sharp and lookin’ for love.

Sharp Dressed Man♫ – ZZ Top

This blog entry would be more appropriately titled “Sharp Dressed Men” considering I happen to be collaborating with a long time friend of mine who I’m finally getting the chance to work with. It is my first time collaborating with Lucky Spiritor in this medium but after some time away he’s back and ready to do some great visual work and I truly believe that (or I wouldn’t be saying it).

I feel very fortunate to be working with him and I know that this won’t be the last time we’ll be putting our heads together to work on photos; and you can check out his version at his website, LuckySpiritor.com.

Very recently I was invited to be a member of the Bakaboo clothing brand by the owner/creator himself, Ocean Blackthorne. I’ve had interactions with him through social media and have found him to be a really cool person and one I enjoy talking to so I was very honored to be asked to join the brand. I am joining Lucky as we are both a part of the team and the latest release “Baka Couture Tuxedo 2” which you can find right now at the Swank event is what inspired us to do this for our first collaboration together.

To say a little bit more about the Bakaboo brand itself if I were asked about it, I would say that it is a unique brand with lots of different patterns and very colorful attire. That is what drew me to them in previous blog posts that I have done because I like things that are not your usual suit or basic shirts and jean outfits (even though I love those too). As an ambassador for this brand I will make sure I do my very best to represent it the best that I can.

Lucky and I played off of one another as the suit comes in 3 different styles: Aaron (which is white with back embellishments), Markski (which is black with white embellishments) and Ocean (which is a blue base with color embellishments). It comes in separate pieces that include shoes with socks, pants, and jacket/shirt as well as bow tie accessory. The suit fits standard sizing fits (XS-XL) but works well with both the Belleza (what I’m wearing) and SLink (what Lucky is wearing).

Skin Fair has been pretty good to me this year as two of my brand partners are participating with creations and I found myself trying out and eventually buying the newest male CATWA head, Skell. I feel like it has a very European feel to it with some very nice features that made my primary skin by LV Designs look just as good as the Daniel head does; I’ll certainly be playing around with it more (and growing my eyebrows back!)

Men Only Monthly is the event that you can pick up the “Dandy” pose by WRONG & The Owl. When we started to plan for this shoot I knew this was definitely the right fit for the idea we were going to eventually go with and I’ve really been enjoying the work that these two brands do together as well as individually. It’s great that there is parity between pose creators because you can find just about anything for what you come up with in your head.

For this entry I decided to just stick with one shot just to test some things and try to do something a little different (much like I did with my face and hair). It’s not very often that I go browless for a look but I thought that with a unique outfit I should change it up some. That is also why I decided to go back to one of my more interesting hairstyles as well, which happens to be the “Jason” hair by the Yuth brand. I have the blacks pack so I decided to go with a grayer/white hair that is not my usual style either.

After conferring with a few different people I think that I could try some different things because I tend to fall into habits and it’s not something I want to be associate with or fall into being a “one trick pony” as it could be referred to as. I hope that this page shows some different looks and focus more on just a few products then trying to throw a million things together at once just because it’s easier to do.

We’ll see how it all goes but I am very appreciate of the support that I’ve been receiving lately (it means a great deal to me). Alas it is time to wrap this one up so I can get back to the planning stages for what might come next as I do have some ideas and things I want to try out. My credits are going to be listed below but if you’re interested in anything that Lucky might be utilizing, check out his site at LuckySpiritor.com for all his details/credits.

[#458] Into The Fire

I’m a paranoid, sycophant
Masochistic dilettante…
Narcissistic elephant in the room
I’m the end of the world
Thinning the herd
The all around outta my mind, fucking absurd
I am gone
I am gone

Into The Fire♫ – Asking Alexandria

Coming up with inspirations for blog posts can take many shapes and forms. It could be an idea that you might have seen in a movie or perhaps a music video…it can even come from a song itself where the words have clung themselves to you like an octopus to a sea faring vessel. That is the case with this particular blog post, it is kind of two parts as to how I decided to put this together.

When I first heard the song “Into The Fire” I thought it was really one of those hard rocking, get your blood pumping tunes that you could certainly throw onto a playlist as you worked out, power walked, or even amped yourself up for playing a game with or against friends online. Any or all of those things would be plausible because this song can get into your adrenaline as it did mine.

I stumbled across the video that was done for it on YouTube and it was patterned a lot after Frank Miller’s “Sin City” comics and movies that bare the same name. Very noir graphic novel type action mixed in with video of the band playing their instruments. As much as I like the noir feel of that part of the video I didn’t really want to go quite to that Frank Miller type place so I figured maybe I could put my spin on standing on a white pillar surrounded by other white pillars of different sizes with some of them burning.

I kept my look super simple and most of it were just things I had blogged before that I knew might work for the look combined with a few new things that I had not blogged before that were waiting to find their way onto the page so others could take a look at them.

New rounds of events are going to be starting in a few days so there are likely going to be things from the events that opened in the last half of February combined with these new events starting at the beginning of March. I have plenty of ideas kicking in my head that I want to transfer onto digital art and this blog and I am really hoping that I’ll be able to up my postings for the month of March. I’m getting really close to my anniversary of when this blog went from being a thought to becoming a reality.

The Shop Your Heart Out event may be over but one of the goodies I found there found it’s way into this look. As much as I wanted to get it put into a look before the event ended some things came at me this past week (along with the unfortunate grid attacks that made it tough to do anything other than stand stationary for a day or two). Those setbacks aside the above photo gives you a great up close look at the “Boy Next Door” hair from Exile that was at the event and will be at their store soon if it isn’t right this minute. I purchased the Naturals pack with the feeling that I wasn’t going to wear anything but basic colors with this hair (your normal black, blonde, brown, and if the mood really struck me red). I made sure that I wore the Exile hairbase which you can also purchase at the store (and you’ll have a taxi to take you there down in the credits).

The rest of my face, beard, skin, and body are all items I’ve been wearing for a while which I feel have become a part of me and have cemented more of my online identity as of late. From time to time I’ll have other skins and things to blog to inform you of but as for normal day to day living this is what I’m the most comfortable in and what I enjoy the most.

As I had mentioned earlier, I kept my outfit simple because I didn’t feel this post needed something sensational or over the top and honestly most people that are in bands these days don’t wear anything fancy usually either so I figured t-shirt and jeans and sneakers would be just fine for it.

{FE Style} has always been a brand I’ve liked for the longest time but sometimes they haven’t always released items for the body I’m wearing consistently at the time but when they do I usually jump on it because it always looks and fits right. The Basic v3 T-Shirt is one that I’ve worn before in a blog (I recall the “Weird But Nice” shirt that was a part of the Fatpack as one of them) and they are really nicely done. I’m wearing the Gray version for this blog and I hadn’t noticed before that there is a bit of a chevron pattern to it which makes it a little more cooler.

L&B Swear is another brand that I’ve stated is been a part of my wardrobe choices for quite a long time as well. I recently got an update of their Destruction Jeans (which added a fit for the Belleza body as well as a tucked in version for one of there newer boot releases). I went through the different denims (as I did purchase the Fatpack of this as well) and seeing as how I can’t remember which one I blogged last time (forgive me some time has elapsed) I hope I didn’t wear one I’ve already blogged. I usually try my best to stay on top of that kind of thing.

For footwear I picked some sneakers from a little known place called ROC (which is a play on the store owner’s name). These low top shoes have 25 colors to choose from in which you can recolor 5 different parts of the shoe. There is also 5 preloaded “classic” colors that are likely patterned after real shoe styles that have been out in the public at some point in time.

Lastly we have the pose set I chose and it’s a collab between WRONG & The Owl. They have been working together for several months now (probably even more than that honestly) and have come up with some really excellent poses together. With all the different pose stores I like and have been displaying in my work I won’t be able to say that I don’t have any poses I can use for a shoot. The poses that I used in this blog entry are from the #11 pose set (which I believe was originally a Men Only Monthly release to begin with). There are 4 different static bento poses for you to choose from to make you look absolutely awesome in whatever way you choose to photograph yourself.

That ought to about do it for this entry but be sure to come back soon when I’ll have more news and goods from the grid along another song/artist for you to take a listen to (that you either know or will like and learn more about).

Onto the next conversation…

[#432] I’ll Leave When The Wind Blows

I’ll leave when the wind blows
Take a breath there your heart goes
I’ll be outside of your window
I’ll pass by but I’ll go slow
I’ll leave when the wind blows

The Wind Blows♫ – The All-American Rejects

How is everyone? Well is what I am hoping for as most of America is started to become a snow globe. There are some that wait all year for it and enjoy it but being that I am from a place that has some of the worst winter weather I don’t tend to be excited or look forward to it. Gives me some reasons to stay inside and enjoy a bit of retail therapy on the grid as I’ve just been doing lately. I have some really cool thoughts and ideas with the things I picked up as you’ll see in today’s entry.

When it comes to putting together a scene there are times when I have an idea already and look for things to bring it to life and then there are those times when I find something that inspires me and I work around that piece to build a scene or find a location that fits what my mind’s eye has put together. The latter is what happened with this particular photo session. The most recent round of Hipster Men’s Event opened just a few days ago and I came across “Joe’s Coffee Backdrop” by Quasi and it had my mind working and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Along with that backdrop, this entry is fueled by great new products by MODULUS and {COLD-ASH} who as brand partners were gracious enough to provide me the goods so that I could put together this work that you see. Also along for the ride is another one of my preferred brands, L&B Swear, who have been around for ages and began as one of the go to spots for gothic wear and tuxedos. Since then they’ve branched out to create all sorts of items such as the pants I am wearing.

As I’ve been hitting the grid, I’ve come across some new events (The Men’s Jail) and also visited ones that are already developed into a male juggernaut (such as TMD). It’s not easy for us fellas to find great places to shop but that’s why it’s up to the bloggers (such as myself and so many excellent others) to show the people where to go and what’s available. Not only does that help them with their wardrobe or photography (if they just like to take photos and not the rest of what we do), it also helps designer’s continue to do what they do and provide us with great looks and props to in turn create visuals.

That wraps up another entry but I’ll be back again soon with some more goodies from across the grid; keep in touch and stay tuned for the next visual adventure.

HAIR⊱ Modulus – Mitchell Hair – FATPACK @ The Men’s JailNEW

Modulus has released another new hair in their Alpha series at one of the newest events on the grid, The Men’s Jail. “Mitchell” is a side parted hair which you can wear with shaved hairbases so that it looks it’s best and how it was intended (I am using the “Charlie” hairbase which is also by Modulus). 5 color packs to choose from that come with 5 colors in each (as well as a built in color tint option), with the option to purchase them all as a FATPACK. This hair is very detailed and definitely one that I think will be popular with the ladies and the fellas. Check it out and all the other products available at The Men’s Jail.

SHIRT⊱ {COLD-ASH} TAYLOR Shirt (CLASSIC PACK) @ TMDNEW

It’s been a while since the last release from {Cold-Ash} but the brand has always been a good part of my wardrobe and this “Taylor” untucked button down shirt is no exception. The Classic Pack has 8 different color shirts and are available in an all in one HUD in the FATPACK. I like how casual this shirt is but still has the element of dressy as well and can be paired with either your favorite jeans or a pair of slacks (which you’ll see I have done).

Compatible With: Belleza, Signature and TMP male bodies.

PANTS⊱ L&B Swear Slacks @ FaMESHedNEW

Jeans are probably one of my favorite types of pants but when I see a really well put together pair or slacks, I don’t hesitate to snatch them up. The best part about these is that you don’t have to worry about having to buy just one pair, you get all the styles right away as this could be considered a FATPACK. 8 colors are there for you to choose from and there is also a belt add-on that you can also color. I chose not to wear the belt because it clashed with the shirt I have on but it is a nice added feature if you are wearing a tucked in shirt or a shorter length t-shirt.

Compatible With: Aesthetic, Belleza, Signature, SLink male bodies as well as a fit for Classic avatars.

SHOES[MODA] BLAKE OXFORDS

BACKDROP⊱ Quasi – Joe’s Coffee Backdrop @ Hipster Men’s EventNEW

This well put together backdrop is already a sensation as I have seen it being used in the time it has taken me to put this blog entry together. It’s a very detailed and has a lot of potential for any photographer or blogger. Quasi has made it easy to have a scene inside of the shop (as there is an open spot to be able to position yourself inside) as well as one outside like I’ve chosen to do. Take a look at it as well as many other products at the latest fresh round of Hipster Men’s Event going on right now.
