Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people posting photos from an in-world location called IASWAS. I figured it was time for me to go visit and see if it inspired me for a scene and the results of it are what you are about to see here. I didn’t expect to get immersed in fall/winter scenery this early but with most land locations changing their seasonal looks, it’ll be a more and more of a task for me to avoid it unless I find inspiration indoors.

When going through the settings as I was doing the photography for this blog entry I had a tough time trying to decide on a windlight that would work well with my surrounds. Rarely if ever do I use the one specified by the sim itself just out of habit, not like they are bad or anything like that. I just tend to stray away from that kind of thing. I ended up choosing a wintery one because of having the snow drifted mountains in the background.

Winter can bring about feelings that we may normally not have in warmer months. Sometimes people feel lonelier when the temperature drops and the the holidays bring about certain things in people as well. I think that’s a big part of the reason why I went with the song choice I did because I think we all miss someone this time of year, even people who are right there in front of us. Don’t ask me to explain it as I believe it is simply something bigger than myself.

Now that you seen different angles and closer looks of what I’m wearing you can take a little trip to the different stores and events I’ve gone to and put this look together. Also do not forget to take a trip to IASWAS because it is really a nicely put together place to explore and even take photographs. I’ll certainly be stopping by there again to seek out another location to create another scene. This was a fun adventure and I look forward to seeing you for the next one.

With the last Modulus release I used the LeLutka head so I figured this time I’d give CATWA Daniel some love for a change. The applier itself has an option for hair and brows singly or together as well as an option to have neither of them for a clean and hairless canvas to apply your own favorite brows, hair, and beards to.

In previous looks I wore the Wool sweater which this coat is tailored to work with. They were originally a part of a past round of TMD (October if I remember correctly). You may know about my addiction for low-top sneakers but it seems like I very well may have an addiction for most shoes in general. I am picky when I need to be but it something looks good and I know it will look good on me then I won’t hesitate to make sure that I own it. These low boot styled shoes are well detailed and are very stylish. There are 5 different colors to choose from (both in base and laces) via a color changing HUD. I would recommend these for not only casual wear with jeans but they could also work in dressier situations.

The fall bug has hit the pages of These Conversations Kill for another year. This being the first time that I’ve done a seasonal scene in 2017 but I wanted to make sure I got this in before any other weather started to take over. I’d had this idea formulated in my head since last year but the time just rolled by me and it became too late in my mind to try and put it together.

After waiting a year I finally was able to get it off of my list of ideas and into virtual reality photography. The honest truth is I think it turned out better than I expected because not every bit of the look I chose for this was around at that time. Much of these items being recent releases as of the last month or two. Some of them even just having come out.

As the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches many families will get together and go out into their yards or a nearby park and play a little catch or touch football. I thought I would try capturing that feeling with the pose set that I am using. I think all of the items I pulled together to create this made the feeling a little magical as I was taking the photos and listening to the song that inspired me to do the session in the first place.

Once again I was on location and revisited a place where I’d done photos at before but it was a while ago and I do not recall it having a fall theme to it. The Mill is a very photogenic spot and a great place to explore even if you are not a photographer. It’s a very peaceful place and right now it is a very fall-centric spot for those of you who enjoy beautiful colors of autumn.

MESANGE has given me the privilege of featuring the “Solunis Eyes” for this entry as they are a part of the list of designer’s that feel I am worthy enough to review their products. These eyes are certainly very colorful and I’ll give more of my thoughts on them in the style credits below.

The eyes are a part of the Hipster Men’s Event which I’ve also had the pleasure of taking a stroll through the current November round. Lots of great poses, clothing, and accessories to be had, one of which is the FABIA “Rich” Hair/Beanie combination. With the weather becoming more chilly, wearing a hat like this would certainly keep a person comfortable.

This pose set comes with 6 different action poses depicting the game of American football. While they are really meant to be used in a setting with where there is a real field and uniformed players, I managed to make them work for the idea that I envisioned when putting this scene together. I think they can definitely also be used for other types of football photos as well.

Excellently made but to give a brief warning, they are not Bento enabled as they were created before it was released.

As you may have noticed, I did a mini makeover to the layout of the site and will be continuing to do maintenance on it a little bit until I’ve reached my own personal satisfactory level. I find that change can be a good thing after a while if you feel like something doesn’t look right to you anymore or feel like it could use a “new coat of paint” as it were. There were some things I felt that were a necessity personally for me and for the site, which you’ll easily notice that the header remains unchanged. It may get tweaked a little as well but I’m not as much into a hurry to delve into that.

As the season is starting to change and in my part of the world the daylight doesn’t last as long as it did even a few weeks ago, along with the leaves starting to turn color and falling from the trees..I feel a bit hesitant to start purchasing clothing that is better used in open outdoorsy type scenes. I have a few things in mind that could be coming up but first I want to try and get other things done that have been tucked away in my brain.

This scene’s overall look is a hodge-podge of a lot of different things. Most of it from events that are just about to end their current rounds to ones that have just started. Not to mention the Marketplace, where I have been finding quite a few things to use in my photo sessions.

For this entry I only have one featured product from my brand collaborators. MESANGE has been kind enough to share with me “The Ripple Eyes” from the current round of Men Only Monthly. I’ll give you a few more specifics in just a bit down in the credits portion of this post.

I also managed to make trips to The Men’s Department which recently opened a little over a week ago; I also stopped at the newest round of Man Cave which surprisingly I did not find as much as I normally do but I still didn’t leave there empty handed (I’m a habitual shopper, I can’t help it!)

I really feel like this scene turned out really well. I wasn’t trying to overthink the windlights and felt that my use of LUMIPro turned out decent. Sometimes I even wonder if I’m putting it to use the right way but it is easy to second guess yourself. You’ll probably also notice the color scheme of my clothing and yeah I was feeling a bit nerdy at the time so I went with something a bit obvious.

With another scene in the books I hope that you’ve found at least one thing interesting and will take the provided transportation to the stores and events I’ve linked to. This is not a new item but I couldn’t help but make the comment that it is one of my most favorite hairs in my entire inventory. I’ve worn it many times as it has been out for what seems like forever but still holds up with all the newer products being sold on the market today. It’s been moved to the Tableau Vivant Marketplace as it is no longer for sale in their store. Guys who are looking for a longer hair that might be what you’d consider vintage but still stands tall…check this out, you won’t be disappointed.

When I was browsing the Man Cave event, I came across this pretty cool tanktop. There were several color choices and I was a bit vexed when it came to choosing but as I stated earlier I was feeling a bit nerdy so I with with Purple. I would have probably liked the FATPACK for the special edition colors that came with it but at the moment I’m on a bit of a budget so I had to sacrifice and pick one. I’m certainly not disappointed with the fit of this tank. Originally my idea for the scene was to go without a top but when I saw this I knew for sure this would be perfect for a workout scene.

Most people (mind you I say most but not all) do their workouts in either shorts or some kind of track pants so that’s the idea I had in mind as I was putting this together. Yack is a brand that I’ve purchased items from before and went to their store recently for something different and these pants caught my attention. I hadn’t started putting this look together yet so I didn’t get them right away but I do go back to set the final touches to my look. The included HUD has so many color options (with stripes and solid) as well as the ability to change the color of the string tie. It was a very good bargain for what I received and definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to put together a recreational outfit such as this.

This little hole in the wall would be the perfect place for some bachelor to just hang his hat at the end of the day and get in a good workout before calling it good. It might be a little bit downtrodden (okay it’s actually really downtrodden but it has it’s charms). I really like the detail with this skybox as it is another fine backdrop from ISUKA. If you haven’t check them out yet then what are you waiting for? Their builds help paint masterpieces.

Animosity – Gym Flow @ TMD ♯ NEW

Need to get your burn on bro? (Sorry reminded me of a commercial and couldn’t help myself). Animosity has come out with a really cool workout pose set which is bento enabled and comes with two versions of the pull up bar. I really like how this turned out but the only thing I might have changed…well actually more like added would have been to include a salmon ladder like Oliver Queen uses in the Arrow TV series. Now it’s more than unlikely that the brand creator for Animosity will see this but if you do happen to read it…maybe an update? Would be cool to see.

Hello once again, sorry it has been a while since my last entry but things have been a bit hectic lately. Also had some setbacks trying to get this photo session off with some in-world hiccups so it was suspended a day or so and then the real world kicked in but I got it done and here we are!

I thought that I would combine a little funny/serious tone to this scene.

First I am going to place a little disclaimer by saying that what you see in today’s look/scene does not entirely reflect the views of myself or These Conversations Kill. While I’m not for the use of recreational drugs, I am not against it. Everything has a time and a place and what people decide to do with their time and their bodies is completely up to them. I simply wanted to make a reference to the blog post # in question with a little play on the unofficial smoker’s holiday.

While I was browsing the shopping guide for the FaMESHed event, I came across the latest footwear from Bleich. I own a few pairs of shoes from the brand but as of late I hadn’t because they had not yet come out with anything for Balleza but that has changed. The Wheeler sneakers are everything I love about low-tops. They are patterned after a certain animal named brand and are untied. Bleich sure upped the anti a bit for my love of low-top sneakers and I think you’ll love these just as much as I do. They are available in 6 different colorways.

While there really isn’t much I can offer as far as insight into this pose and prop because what you see is what you get, I do have to say it is nicely done and I’ve used several poses from this brand and will continue to utilize them however I can.

I would also like to note that the store itself is having a sale on singles and couples poses until the 17th of November. All single poses are marked at 25L and Couples poses are 50L. If you need poses for your works it doesn’t hurt to go do some shopping you may find plenty of things to work with.

This scene was originally meant to be done as a part of my Halloween series but as fate would have it the timing was moved back due to several reasons. I usually post things that are a bit October like all throughout the year as the spirit of it doesn’t confine me to just one month and I firmly believe that.

For this scene I went on location and took my photos at the Stars Hollow In Omnia Paratus, which is maintained by a good friend who has opened it to the public until the 11th of November. If you are looking for a great fall place to take photos and explore then this place is for you. There is even a haunted house section still up for those of you who want to do some post Halloween celebration such as I have. The taxi for this location is below in the credits section.

In this entry there are promotional copies of items provided by Avi-Glam, Cold-Ash, and Go&See. I think putting these items together really set the tone for the overall feeling of the scene and I hope you agree.

The Avi-Glam and Cold-Ash items are available right now at the current round of Men Only Monthly, which runs through the 15th of November. There are many great items for your closet at the event and I encourage you to invest some time to take a look.

Go&See’s item was a part of The Dark Style Fair 5 which was open until the 4th of November and this entry was in 3/4 stage completion and was meant to be posted before the end of the event to which I sincerely apologize. One of the things I can count on when it comes to Go&See when they release a set of eyes is that they are going to be thought out and creative. These Catwa only appliers give the appearance that the wearer has been possibly punched or is suffering from a sort of disease. There are several ways it can be taken. There are four different colors to choose from and excellent for setting up creepy or apocalyptic scenes as well as for use in role-play situations.

Avi-Glam is back with a new face for Catwa heads, which for this I am using Daniel as I believe that is what they had in mind for use with this facial skin. I feel like it has a bit of a youthful ethnic look which is becoming increasingly present in-world as it should. Diversity is what helps everyone have a more unique identity and ensure we are not all looking like robots on an assembly line.

There are so many good things I could say about this shirt/vest combination but if I did you would check out from all the rambling so I’ll keep it brief. I really had this Van Helsing or Johnathan Harker vibe with this that essentially the scene I photographed is like one of them out in the darkness looking for creatures of the night. The included HUD has 3 different colors for the shirt and 6 different choices for the vest.

One thing I would have done differently (that does not take away from the value of the product) would be to come out with more choices for colors in both the shirt and vest. The product is great even with the lack of more colors and maybe it is better the way it is. Perhaps having too many choices would detract from the product.

o0o Studio: Ghost Light

Aside from wardrobe and setting, one of the most important pieces to the scene was this pose and prop set. The lantern helped set the visual of walking vulnerable in the darkness searching for the unknown a lot easier to take from concept to finality. This was a Fifty Linden Friday item a few weeks ago and I had missed out on it then but the regular price of it when I did purchase was not bad and is definitely something that can be used again in future works.

Happy belated Halloween everyone. I hope everyone did something fun whether it be a social gathering, or gone to a haunted house or just took someone trick or treating. The last week and some have been rather busy for me personally but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ll update you on some of the things going on in future posts but for now I’m getting my creep on and sharing it with you. Many of you will probably see the first photo and say “nope” and I understand that but for those of you who can get past it then I give you a high five.

For this scene I did quite a bit of shopping on the Marketplace to fulfill my idea of being the the sewer dwelling, balloon carrying, evil clown from Stephen King’s novel, “IT”, which has been adapted to film twice as many people know.

As for the young man with me in the photo, I was unable to get his credits as most of it I fear is quite outdated. I can however tell you that his outfit was a marketplace item for Toddleedoo kids which you can find HERE.

I sincerely apologize for this entry being somewhat short compared to some entries. This was just an easily thrown together scene where I did not travel to stores save for a few (some pieces I already had from Blogger Reviews and other shopping trips).

Trying to find decent clown hair is difficult but I found a complete outfit on the MP that had the best looking hair that was exactly what I needed for putting this look together. It’s not the cheapest costume out there but for what I needed it for it certainly works in a pinch.

What clown is complete without makeup? I originally found this on the Marketplace but traveled to the in-world store location to see what else they had to offer as well. The store has some really cool makeup and facial tattoos and is well worth checking out.

This is a full 2017 version avatar that comes with a head but it is separate from the body which since I already had the makeup and the hair I didn’t really need the head but it is cool and creepy as well. I’ve actually talked to the creator of the item and for it being one of his first creations it is a pretty good try and I’ll be keeping an eye to see what he might work on next.

One of the main pieces of the scene. This build comes in two versions (Brick and Concrete) with the former having the sewer access. It was inexpensive and a well made build.

This item is mean to be a decor item but with a little editing I had myself a perfect single white paper boat fitting to be the S.S. Georgie. The paper boat doesn’t come like this just to rephrase that. I did a little modifying of the object (aka making the other parts of the item transparent).

This item was another marketplace find as I was looking for a pose that would display our wicked clown holding the paper boat out for everyone to see. Two poses are included and are inspired by fairy tales but now you know they work for other things too!

For my second Halloween post I thought I would bring some people back down memory lane (which may make them a bit terse) by choosing a theme that was a part of one of the most mind shattering moments of season 7 of The Walking Dead. The dreaded song that kept repeating over and over to torture and try to break Daryl Dixon. After the episode aired the song went viral and probably not for the better. So in my own crazy way I’m bringing it back to remind you!

While I probably should have saved the theme for an actual zombie apocalypse type scene, I just couldn’t pass up how quirky the song was for the feel I was putting together for this shoot. With a crazy murderous fowl on the loose, it certainly made a great combination in my mind.

For this session, I took a lot of different photos with various angles and lighting but what you are seeing on this blog entry are the best of the best after minor post-processing. I don’t usually try to overdo anything because then it completely changes the composition of what was originally intended.

Avi-Glam has kindly provided two different products (a skin and eyes) for me to feature and give my thoughts on. The entry also features many items from the current (and still open) TMD event which has about a week or so left before they close it off to begin switching things out for the next round.

This entry also features goods from Men Only Monthly and The Epiphany which has some really great Gacha machines to play with exclusive items to collect before they are gone for good once the round is over.

Personally I feel like it helped build the kind of gritty late night atmosphere or someone closing up shop for the night only to be met by a creepy presence.

When I first saw the advertisment for this Gacha at The Epiphany, I thought it was one of the oddest and most unique things I’ve come across in a while and just had to find a way to incorporate it into a scene. The particular head I used reminds me a lot of the well known to baseball fans “San Diego Chicken” mascot…even though it is meant to be a rooster, it’s still fowl (or is that foul? I kid I kid).

This mesh prop comes with an automatic shoulder lean pose but it also works with other poses that includes baseball bats. This item is clearly inspired by “Lucille” the she-devil sidekick to the nefarious Negan of The Walking Dead. This was a pretty cool marketplace find to help pull together a strange scene.

This my first Halloween inspired scene for 2017 and I feel like I’m starting off strong. This is intended to be a two part post in which the second will come within the next week as a collaboration with some fellow blogger friends of mine. I’m not going to give away all the details because I want to garner some interest for readers to come back to take a look.

Ever since I was younger I had a fascination with vampires and their myths. From television shows such as Dark Shadows and Moonlight to films like Salem’s Lot, The Lost Boys, and 30 Days Of Night as well as classic novels by Bram Stoker and Anne Rice featuring titillating characters of the undead variety. I have always been drawn to the stories of their struggle and romanticism behind them. A lot of people love these pop culture icons that have withstood the test of time itself.

This particular photo session was inspired by “The Queen of The Damned” film starring Stuart Townsend and the late Aaliyah. I was fortunate enough that the LeLutka Andrea bento head comes with a pair of fangs to help me complete my look.

The scene was shot on location at a friend’s Haunted House which will be opening soon but is not yet completed which is why at this time I won’t be providing a taxi as it is not yet open to the public. When it does become available I will give you an update in a future entry.

For the second straight month, K&S has released another “Fearless” 3 pose set at Hipster Men’s Event. I’m not sure how long it will continue but I’ve been enjoying these so I do hope that they continue to so I can continue to feature them in my scenes.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and just even doing some basic research you find out some staggering statistics. As of yet there is no cure for the different types that ail women all over the world every day. Disease never takes a day off that is why there are many organizations working endlessly to help find a way to prevent this from taking yet another life.

Daughters, Sisters, Mothers, Grandmothers and friends could be at risk which it is why it is so important to spread the word. If you know someone who hasn’t had a screening in a while to check with their physician. Also if anyone reading this has ever found anything suspicious do not wait to see someone because any chance of detecting early could be difference between life and death.

Another fact that might surprise you is that women are not the only ones susceptible to having breast cancer. Yes, males themselves have a possibility of developing a type of the disease in their cells as well. It’s not as common and less talked about but it is still possible. I applaud the efforts of organizations such as Susan G. Komen and global sports organizations such as the National Football League and World Wrestling Entertainment for taking part in helping with education and awareness in the fight.

With each post I write a little bit about what blog sponsors (which I personally am not a fan of that term) are being featured and it is something I started doing recently and will continue to do because they’ve worked hard to create the products that I’ve been given to review and let you all know about.

In fact this post wouldn’t have come to light (or had less of a chance of me doing it) without the pose and prop that I’ve been given to review by Image Essentials. One of the things I like about having a designer benefactor that creates eyes is that you can change your eye color to something different and not have the same eyes twice unless you wanted to.

This particular adventure is one that is more on the personal side, if you’ve had someone in your family that has been diagnosed and have fought cancer head on win or lose then you know what it is like.

My intentions in creating this is to help encourage everyone to learn more and also to participate anyway you possibly can no matter how little it is. Also it is my hope that one day in my lifetime I will hear that a cure has been found not just for breast cancer but for as many or all types out there in the world.
