Once again I find myself going outside of my normal and the more I think about it the more I am starting to get comfortable with creating blog entries with my normal self not being the main focus and allowing Brena to come to the forefront and allow me to tackle that part of my creative side. The preparation is a little bit different for doing things with her as the “star” of the photo because it takes more time setting up and putting an outfit together but I find it fun.

Lately I’ve been also thinking about other ways to be a bit more organized when it comes to blogging items that are from brands that are partners of this blog. There are certain items I feel that I’m not the best at describing so I’ve thought of ways to get the information about them to any potential readers and by looking at some of what my peers might do but doing it more in a TCK flavor.

Starting soon enough I’ll be using feature points (bullets) to let people know more about the product as well as what I personally think about it so that there’s factual information that is easy to read as well as my personal thoughts or reasons for why I’m wearing it as I feel it is one of the best ways to move forward and not only help myself but to visitors who read the site (and I am aware of several who do and I thank you for continually returning).

Getting back to this post in particular and using TCK’s female extraordinaire, Brena, I’ve learned that you can definitely find new places to shop as well as items that are gifts or are very low price and for those of you who have never visited it, I think you should check out the FabFree In SL blog. I’m not affiliated with them (nor have I ever met any of the site authors) but they have been around long enough (before I even started blogging) to bring news about what gifts are out there or sales are happening. Excellent site and it’s helped me tremendously as I don’t have nearly as much depth in Brena’s closet as I do for Brennan. On occasion they do have posts for men’s items too so definitely worth a glance.

I‘ve been a blogger for Image Essentials for a good while now, I’ve at least made it through two cycles and I’m grateful for the opportunities to blog for the brand. The owner and blogger manager are people I’d vouch for in a heartbeat and they’ve given me opportunities to go outside of the box as I’d been told more than once that I needed a little bit of freshness (and being stubborn as I am, I took this advice to heart without being combative). One way I can display some of their poses that would not work as greatly for me will work excellently for Brena and that’s what I did here.

They’ve recently released a set called “Heat” at the Jersey Shore Fair and it was really fun and hard to decide what to use in the photo. Maybe I’ll try out this features idea sooner than later and give you a bit more information on these poses, what do ya say? Well I’m doing it anyway so join me for the ride. The Jersey Shore Fair lasts until the 30th of June so plenty of time for a trip to the event and see these poses for yourself.

Brena is also wearing one of the latest eye packs from Go&See that are newly available at the anyBODY event. The eyes are called Cosmo and honestly I really enjoy the creativity that goes into these eyes. I decided it didn’t hurt to have a head from most of the major brands so I recently went to CATWA to get her one of her very first Bento enabled heads because not only do the Go&See skins look really good on the one I purchased but I’m also able to use their eyes and that gives me so much to work with. Here are just a few features for the “Cosmo” eyes:

• Can be worn by any gender (unisex)

The anyBODY event also runs to the end of the month so if you find yourself out shopping here’s another destination for you to take a look at but just so you are aware it is mostly a female oriented event so there’s probably not too much a fella would be interested in other than maybe getting a gift for someone which there’s nothing wrong with in my mind.

As I was looking over the FabFree blog that I mentioned earlier, there are a fair amount of really good items that are group gifts (not all groups have a fee but some do and the price varies but with some of the gifts being offered it’s well worth it). I found the “Lora” dress which is a group gift of the MH Unique store to which there is no cost to join and there are plenty of other group gifts as well for you to take a peek at. What really caught my eye is how colorful it is and it wowed me even more while I was taking photos; the various colors in it just popped out at me with the type of light that I used when I set the scene up.

While I have quite a few items that were involved with this blog such as makeup and shoes and hair (which was part of the VIP group for TRUTH, the group costs 350L but so darn worth it for you gals that are hair enthusiasts) that I think I would lose anyone reading if I went any further into detailing my look. The items are not new releases but of course you’ll have a ride to them in the credits down below if you want to investigate further and I always say that if something appeals to you it doesn’t hurt to at least check it out.

It’s been a while since I was inspired by something I haven’t listened to in a while but was reminded of by just kind of going through music in my head; maybe I’m not the biggest U2 fan that’s ever lived but I can tell you I do enjoy a lot of their music (especially a lot of earlier works including albums like “The Joshua Tree”).  The look I put together for this blog is a rather simple one and very casual for every day appearance. Most days I could easily just relax in clothes like these so it is easily relatable.

There’s always a nice feeling you get when you’re rummaging through your closet and you find a backrop you’ve forgotten about. Then you put it out and come up with a scene pretty quickly. Another great thing is when you are going through clothes you like and realize that they’ve updated them to fit the body you are wearing right this moment (it’s kind of like Christmas all over again when that re-delivery comes).

For this blog post there are three new products mixed in with some other goodies to make up everything you see in all the pictures. One of my favorites is this COLSON henley shirt from {COLD-ASH}. As a proud partner of the brand I was excited to get this preview which comes with just about every current mesh body fit and two versions for each (a regular waist and a wider waist for those who like a looser fit).

Making sure I get all the purchases I made at Men Only Monthly to use, I’m wearing the VANGO “Keith” hair and also the “Hipster Style” bento beard by Magnificent (a part of the GA.EG brand family). These two in combination with one another give me a bit of a weathered look which I don’t mind due to the fact that I personally try to stay away from the baby face look if at all possible.

The above pic gives you a better look at the three new items being shown in this blog post (the shirt, hair and beard). I also have to share that the skin I am wearing by LV Designs that is named after me has been released in another tone. The skin is also now available in Pearl/Tone 2 (for those of you who own Stray Dog body appliers) which was a request I had made as well as a few others from I have been told.

My closet just got a little fuller over the last day or so with having hit TMD, Hipster Mens Event, The Men’s Jail and also a fresh round of Man Cave for February that just opened today. Gives me plenty of things to work with so now I just have to come up with some scenery ideas and get back to it which means it is time for me to wrap things up and guide you to the credits below.

From the moment I saw this hair I knew it would be one that I would want in my arsenal of hairstyles (especially long ones that I wear consistently in the winter months). With each new release I feel that the Vango brand is getting better and better. This stache and beard combination is specifically made for the CATWA Daniel head, with that said I don’t know if it would work with any other CATWA product so if you dare to test it make sure to grab a demo first before doing anything. The “Night” pack contains dark versions like Black and even a Salt n Pepper style along with a darker brown and blonde as well. I really liked the way this looked on me but being a guy who is always wanting to wear facial hair that’s not much of a surprise. This product will be available through February 15th so you can certainly treat yourself to a little Valentine’s Gift and why not?

As much as I enjoy blogging costumes or suits and fancy things, when it comes down to a nicely made shirt you don’t have to worry about it not getting my attention. Collared shirts with a few buttons are effective and are easy to just throw on after getting out of the shower before leaving the house. They are even casual enough you possibly could wear them to certain work places. As I mentioned earlier this is a review copy and it is the entire pack with a HUD containing 10 solid colors. This pack in its entirety is worth it because if you get just one color and get home and put it on, you’ll be kicking yourself that you want it in more colors and would end up spending more to get the full pack when you should have just done it in the first place.

I’ve apparently had this sitting around for an undisclosed amount of time. From the moment I set it out to see if it would work with the idea that was starting to form in my head (and it did), it made me glad that I am one of those people that tend to play gacha backdrop machines on whims. While I am not sure if it is supposed to represent an actual place in the world, I do know that it would look like a place I would probably wander to (or through) in my virtual travels.

I‘m back again with more goodies for you to behold and events to run to look at what’s new and good in fashion+ on the grid of SL. It’s a new week and the first week in a new month so you know what the means… The Men’s Department is back with a new round of great items and let me tell you from the little walk-through I had, it definitely does not disappoint.

While I’m on the topic of TMD, Modulus has a new offering that you can feast your eyes on called “Rafa”. 6 tones are available to choose from and like with most of the new offerings from the M BARE line, it has the options for browless/brows and for clean/facial hair or the combination of brows and facial hair. I really like that the eyebrow shaper and body shape are included as it really does the skin justice to know what the creator had in his mind for what “Rafa” should look like out in the world. Of course you can use whatever shape you think is best or modify the provided one as well.

At the main location of Go&See, you will find another of the new items I have in this entry. The “Mermaid” eyes com in 10 tones and when you think of the name you might think it could be very feminine but let me assure you, a good portion of the tones included in this package are unisex. I intend to showcase more in future entries because I like what the brand did with this release. It can be used easily for fantasy or even for regular everyday. That’s how versatile these eyes are. Also they are only for Catwa eyes for anyone that has them separately or the ones included with the head of their choice.

I’ve also got something for you from Men Only Monthly! NoEdition has the “Military Cargos” available right now at the event until the 15th of April. It comes with an included HUD where you can change the fabric of the pants as well as the metal and fabric on the belt. It only comes in standard sizes which is one of the only downsides I have to say about this product. I would have liked to have seen either Fitmesh or at least sizes for some of the mesh bodies. I liked these so much though that I made the best of it that I could.

There is a new #selfie backdrop Gacha from RAMA that is currently going on at The Gacha Guardians event. After every 20 plays you get a bonus backdrop from the machine but you need to act now because once the event is over at the end of the month the special prizes will be gone forever.

When is there not newness out there on the grid? With all the events happening in December it’s truly a task to try to keep up with everything, everyone, especially with the holidays. With that said, there are some goodies I have here for you today that you are not going to want to miss so let me break all of this down for you gentleman.

You may or may not have heard that Signature, who is the creator of the GIANNI mesh body and recently the mesh head to accompany it, have an event for items related to their mesh products. Some of the top designers on the grid have contributed items to this event and today I give you just a little taste of what is available.

Avi-Glam has released their first skin for the Signature Gianni head named “Julian”. With 6 different tones to choose from there is no doubt you’ll find the right one.

Speaking of Avi-Glam, they’ve updated and re-released their Serene eyes to now include 30 different options from the original 12. If you haven’t picked these up yet, I suggest you do! There’s a different choice for whatever mood/look you happen to want when the moment arises.

{Cold-Ash} is also a part of this event and they have released the SHERMAN Sweater. With a HUD filled with many options, you have several choices to make this one of your easy to go to winter options in your closet.

TMD is also back and I have two different items both from Modulus. One is the Lou Hair, which you can buy colors individually or in a Fatpack for more than one option. Also available to compliment it is the Jax Hairbase which comes in the same color options and also has a Fatpack available.
