[#376] Burn, Burn, Burn

And my mother told me, “Son let it be”
Sold my soul to the calling
Sold my soul to a sweet melody
Now I’m gone, now I’m gone, now I’m gone

Fire” –  Barns Courtney  ♫Listen

After a small little break I’m back with some great new items from some of the designers and events that you gentleman all know and love. With that I’m going to get right into going over what went into this look so let’s get started shall we?

On the 20th of May a new fully stocked round of Men Only Monthly began and let me say it was a pretty good one for me personally. I feel like I went on a mad shopping spree when I went in there. There are several things from the event that went into this look which makes me happy because I don’t always get to post everything I buy at a certain event unless it’s a review copy or I have more alotted personal time so when I am able to feature the things I purchase it feels like a personal win.

The first item item for the look is the “Haunting” hair from Stealthic. This relatively new brand has had back to back hair items at the event and they have both been very well made from the textures used to the ability to style the hair in different ways which is starting to become a new trend on the grid and I certainly do not dislike it. There is also a hairbase that you can purchase in addition but other hairbases do work (as I used a different one in this look that is a part of the No. Nuel Skin)

Also from the event, FLI. released a canvas type skater shoe simply called “Canvas”. Of course by now you know that I have a soft spot for shoes like this and this pair is most certainly no exception. It is modeled after a very popular brand of shoe of which in the real world I own a pair of which is even cooler that I can also wear them virtually. The only downfall about this product is that it is only for standard sized avatars and does not include a shoe shape which normally would not help someone with a mesh body like myself. With a little bit of resizing, I managed to make this work perfectly with my Gianni body but I’m not sure how well it will work with others as I have not tested it. I do hope in the future that FLI. decides to step up a little further by making shoes for the different mesh bodies that are out there. I think that it would certainly take the brand to even further heights.

Kinky is back with another round and while normally this kind of event is not my style, there are items that do interest me that are not exactly part of the theme of the event. Stray Dog, one of my favorite skin designers (and a lot of other people as well) have the “Hunter” skin for sale. Coming in three different tones it is compatible with the Catwa family of heads. There are two seperate HUDs included, one of which is a browless version. Inside these HUDs are several different options. There is the regular skin, a version that makes you look angry, and also freckles. You can also add kiss marks to your face as well if you are out and about being lascivious. All in all, I think this is another great addition to the skin line. Also for those of you who may not know, you can get the new body appliers (right now strictly for Gianni) at the Stray Dog flagship store.

Representing The Men’s Department in this entry are the “Blake” jeans by PARKER. These rolled cuff jeans work well with the canvas shoes that I am wearing and also have that ripped look that I seem to employ quite often in some of my outfits. There are 6 different denim types you can choose from if you make a single purchase, however, for those those who buy the full pack there are two extra denim choices as an added bonus. These jeans come in sizes for Gianni, SLink Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.

The Gabriel “Zipped” Jacket was an item first featured at last months Uber event. It is one of those cases where I just was not able to put this look together (I didn’t have the shoes at the time) before the event ended. I really like how this item fits and seamlessly works with the jeans without any clipping. You get two versions with this product, one with a shirt and one without. The one thing I say this item lacks is the ability to change the shirt color and while white is very neutral and versatile, it is just nice to be able to have options in case you have a pair of jeans or pants of a certain color and you want to match them better. Overall this is a really great product and very highly recommended.

Lastly, Nivaro recently released a few new beard appliers in their store. I am wearing the “rugged” beard style which comes with three different HUDs (for Catwa, Omega, and Signature respectively). Within each of these are five different colors: White (which is tintable to whatever color you wish), Black, Bornw, Blonde, and Red. There is also a button that you can press if you want to remove it without having to go through any extra steps to take it off when you want to go clean shaven or want to wear a different style. One of the things I like best about this is it gelled well with the hairbase I am using, as it is one of my peeves when your hair and beard do not connect and leave a strange looking gap between them. Nivaro has caught my eye and I’ll definitely be returning there to look at other styles.

On that note I believe it is time to stop rambling and let you get to what you love most: shopping. Now that you’ve been given the skinny on what went into this look I will leave you all with the full style credits below including what I didn’t cover in-depth. As always, keep it stylsh fellas and we’ll see you next time out!

[#367] So Let’s Start Over…

I feel so mad
I feel so angry
I feel so callous
So lost, confused, again

I Feel So” –  Box Car Racer  ♫Listen

Hello and welcome back! Glad to see that you’ve come to take a look at the next entry in the ever growing space I like to call “These Conversations Kill”. I have a little bit of everything going on in this one, a bit of this and that if you will. Sometimes I don’t always have the inspiration for the work I do before I shoot the photos and that makes it difficult much like when a musician has words but no music to put it with. That was the case with this but as I was kind of going through different thoughts and themes I came across on of my old favorite side projects of Tom Delonge of Blink-182 fame. I am actually a fan of all of the projects the guys in Blink have done but one of my favorites is Boxcar Racer. It seems to have just come out at a time in my life that it really resonated with me and has been something I cherish and go back and listen to every now and again. I’m glad I’ve found use for it in this medium as well.

I was not able to get it done in time but the skin that I’m wearing originally appeared at the Limit8 event but was not one of the limited items so I would like to say that if it is not in the main store, it should be soon. The “ERWIN” skin from STRAY DOG is really a handsome devil. In the package you get two different HUDS (one with eyebrows and one without so you can use your own). Each one has an option of a regular face or freckles if that is something that suits you visually.

For my hair, I dug out an old favorite that I haven’t worn in a while and thought it worked for the mechanic look that I was going for. Longer and somewhat messy looking is the Jakob from Damselfly. I bought the variety pack for this because I like having the basic tones just in case I’m feeling like trying something different than my usual blacks or browns.

I made it pretty easy with the wardrobe this go round, however, the unfortunate part is at the moment flow. does not have an in-world store and the “Air Jumpsuit” is not quite yet up on their marketplace location. It originally appeared at the ULTRA event for April but has already since closed. This package in its original form (when it becomes available on the marketplace it may change) is a Fatpack and is fitted for the [SIGNATURE] Gianni body only and has 4 different colors included (Black, Blue, Green, and Red).

On my feet are the “Chris” sneakers from PARKER. These were originally a part of the March round of n21 and somehow got lost within my closet…whoopsy! I managed to get them out of the box and slapped them right on my feet and off to work I went. The full pack of shoes comes with a HUD that you can change the various parts of the shoe which makes it a practical value considering if you did get more than one you would probably come close to the price anyway.

I’ll confess I am not much of a decorator and find it pretty hard most times to put a scene together without it taking a large amount of time. Though when I found myself looking at the shopping guide for the Draftsman event I saw a bunch of things that peaked my interest and I was off and running. NOMAD has up for sale the “AUTO REPAIR SHOP” which is a nice garage with an office and with the right items could be fully stocked and used for any kind of community or role-play situation.

The “Damien” Pose set from An Lar Poses is one that was first available at this years Pose Fair which has now since concluded; has 6 different poses with mirrors which I find handy if you favor a certain side photographically.

Now that you know what has all gone into what you see visually, I’ll kindly leave you with the credits so you can venture to the stores and events so you can give things a look yourself and find what best works for you! I look forward to our next encounter but until then as always, stay stylish fellas!

Leaving Song” –  Socialburn  ♫Listen

post332_01 post332_02

There’s little over a day left to make your way to the SIGNATURE Event and grab all the great clothing, skins, and body accessories you can for the [SIGNATURE] Gianni products. I’m proud to be displaying an up and coming designer who I am grateful to call a sponsor.

RIOT has a really great pullover you can pick up at the event. It’s called “Tom” and it has 24 different colors you can pick from if you choose to go all-in and get the full package. The HUD includes the 24 color choices but also you can change the color for the inside of the neck with the same available 24 colors. There are also 8 different metals for the zippers for you to choose from. If you don’t always wear the Gianni body it also comes with fits for Standard Fitmesh, the Adam body, and also SLink Physique and TMP. It really goes great with say your favorite pair of jeans or you could even wear jogging/track pants with them and it would still make for a great outfit.

Just released at the Clef de Peau mainstore is the “Teddy” skin which debuted at the SIGNATURE Event with tones not normally associated with their usual scale. They have made it now available for the CATWA “Daniel” Bento head in their regular tones and have also released a more muscular body skin called “Absfab” which gives you a really developed six-pack for those of you who like to be a little more cut. Also new at CdP is the version 32 eyebrows.

Returning once again is another shade of the Avi-Glam “Ardor Eyes” which are still available at Men Only Monthly. This time I chose to display the “Hazel” tone. I really enjoy the detail in these eyes, they are very realistic looking and are also very remarkable. Men Only Monthly closes it’s doors for the current January round on the 15th of February to set-up for that month’s round.

Uber opened their January/February round on the 25th and while it is mainly an event geared towards the ladies, they do often have some things for us gentleman and it just so happens that I found something I really liked.

Parker has their “Nelson” jeans available to purchase. I chose the grey ones to coordinate with the darker gray of the Riot “Tom” pullover. The “Nelson” jeans comes in three fits (Signature Gianni, SLink Physique, and TMP).

One thing I have noticed is that finding really great footwear to work with the Gianni body is a bit underwhelming. So I took to the marketplace and found a nice little gem from one of my old favorite stores. GAS Clothing has a Unisex pair of sneakers called “Move”. While you can get them at their in-world store, I was in the middle of getting this shoot put together and did not have the extra time to shop so I bought them through the mp. Not only are they compatible with the Gianni body but also have fits for Standard Male and Female, SLink Male and Female, Belleza, Maitreya, and Adam body types. A quick bit of info on the HUD, you can change the laces, base, and cords on the sides of the shoe which allows for a lot of customization.

I am out of time for this entry but I encourage you to take a look at the events and stores featured in this post, I assure you that you will not be disappointed. Maybe I’ll see you out there but if not, until next time, stay stylish fellas! Onto the credits, shall we?
