Don’t adjust your screens or monitors or think that your phone is borked. What you see is what you’re actually seeing as I’ve decided to branch out a little bit as I was given a nudge by Skin Fair to take a crack at seeing how the other half lives. So far it hasn’t been bad and it may take a bit of an adjustment from taking photos of an alt or taking a photo of someone else.

When it comes to things like skins and clothing the female market is super wide open as compared with the male market. There are also more events that specialize more in items that females would purchase so if every now and then I tap into that market because I can creatively fulfill a need then I might as well do it because I have more of an access to it as a blogger (with slight name recognition).

It was an honor to have been given a review copy of the newest addition to the LeLutka mesh head family, Korina. For it being my first official female head product, I really like the look of it and it’s very much the style that I envision of myself as a lady. One of the things I like best about LeLutka is that right out of the box you get a very detailed HUD which from the moment you run it gives you a rundown of how it works before you even get started. So for those who have never had a head from LeLutka before you are given a crash course from the word jump.

Of course the base skin is created by Aida Ewing, head honcho behind Glam Affair so this will easily gel with the skins that come with the Maitreya body for those of you who also own one of them. Likely I am not providing any new information as it relates to these things but it’s somewhat new to me so I’m reporting what I know as that is what I do.

Even though I am a fan of how “Korina” looks right out of the box, I wanted to show off the latest skin from Clef de Peau which is being sold right within the LeLutka booth at Skin Fair. “Bianca” has a really good look to her and as a someone who has enjoyed male items from Clef de Peau, I feel that the detail for the ladies is just as consistent as it is for the guys.

Also appearing at the fair is a store I’m very familiar with, Avi-Glam. I was once a part of their team as a blogger and I loved being a part of them so it’s great to be able to showcase their work by wearing the “Daydreamers Eyes”. There are four color packs to choose from and I’ve always been partial to the blue eyes, so I went with pack 3 so I could have my trademark blue eyes.

It’s taken me some time to adjust actually having female parts on this avatar but I think it won’t take me long before I take off with some ideas that I might have squirreled away for a rainy day.

Now that I have gotten the first of who knows how many blogs with a female look out of the way, I feel like this could be a way to make me more confident about my creativity as it relates to the virtual world of Second Life. Please keep in mind readers that I will still be doing my usual thing as that is not changing, this is just another outlet for me to work with even more great brands potentially.

On that note I am going to wrap this blog up so that I can begin work on what is likely my final post for this years Skin Fair. There has been many great designers for both genders and I hope that I’ve been able to bring things to those who have found me through other bloggers or via social media. It’s always my goal to give as much information about the things I enjoy on this site.

With spring not quite yet being spring, I thought I would brighten up these pages with a little sunshine type inspiration and I know that I’ve achieved that with the help of the newest creation from Bakaboo. The “Summer Coat” and “Signature Pants” that have just recently hit the racks at On9 are just the thing that will kick those weather related feelings out the door.

Ocean Blackthorne has a command of unique design and color combinations which is what I admire most about his creations. I know that when I put them on I feel a bit more energetic and pumped up. The suit jacket and pants are sold separately and come in three colorways (Ocean, Sunrise which I am wearing, and Sunset) and are standard sizes XS-XL which with the right alpha cuts will work with any body (unless you are built like a tank).

Choosing which set I was to wear was simpler than I could have ever imagined as I know that most people would pick either Ocean or Sunset (blue and red based respectively) but I really had my eyes set on Sunrise (which is a golden yellow base) because it just brightened the whole idea of what I was going for a look and doing my best to be ethnically diverse (and hopefully I didn’t fail at it).

The Pose Fair is still going strong and as an official blogger one of the things I like is that they want us to focus not just on the brands that are sponsoring the event but also the pose stores that you may or may not have heard of and draw attention to them as well which it is my pleasure that as a first for me I am using a pose from the “Classic Male” set by Mouni Poses. There are 6 poses in the set that would definitely make for good photography whether it be a part of a scene or if you are just shooting a profile picture, you can’t go wrong either way.

With the way I am posing you can definitely see that this guy is a true love machine (I couldn’t think of anything better and I thought that might get a laugh out of those who know me so what the heck right?)

On social media I’ve been hyping up wanting to go to the NEO Japan event which is in it’s final week of its very first round; I hope that it is doing well enough that we see another one. I have yet to go there but I will be doing so over the next few days to get my retail on but before I do that I wanted to make sure that I was able to show one of the latest Modulus hairs off.

“Alik” is a hair that feels as though it’s got a bit of product in it to get it to stand up just right and has just a bit of fly-away tufts at the temple area. The style of hair gave me the idea for doing an Asian style look that I feel like I have seen on perhaps a pop star or a celebrity of some sort and that was the mindset that I was working with as I started to build an idea.

For those not familiar with the Modulus brand (and I hope you would be by now because they are a part of many big events and continue to be added to more), there are 25 colors of hair within 5 different color HUDS, and you can get them all together which saves you some dollars if you can’t quite pick a color. On top of that each color HUD has integrated tinting as well to give you even more choices.

Lately when it comes to my face and skin I haven’t really changed it much (a departure from how I did things in the past as I would buy skins like they were going out of style). I found myself and a skin that I felt I was more like what I felt represented me (aside from blogging brand partner skins which is never an issue because I enjoy them and challenging myself to make great visuals with them). For this blog entry as I previously said I decided to go with an Asian flair and to aid me with that is the creator of my nearly every day face, LV Designs.

“Shin” is a face I would consider to be somewhere in the middle of the road, not overly masculine but not overly effeminate either and goes along with Stray Dog’s 01 body tone (for those of you who like to do that matching thing y’know). It is for CATWA heads (Daniel in particular even though I would have expected it to work better on Dino but I didn’t like how it looked) and has a brow and no brows option for those of you who may have a favorite type of eyebrow that you do not want to give up.

To top things off I also found myself strolling through the Shoetopia event which had a lesser male presence then I would have liked (note to creators…dudes by shoes too, especially this one) but I did find at least one silver lining…

Deadwool released a new pair of dress shoes for the event and I could not resist even though I tried with all my might not to leave there with the FATPACK but the little voice inside of me won out in the end and honestly I’m glad I did because there are so many different options and ways to color your shoes that you can wear any kind of suit and match these up with them and the best part is you don’t have to worry about socks because they are built in and can be turned on and off.

The Deadwool oxfords are fitted for Belleza, Signature (Geralt, Gianni) and SLink, there is also a fit for Maitreya for the gals out there; and an unrigged version for those who have bodies that I have not listed (but definitely try the demo out before you fork over any moolah).

Sometimes when you become inspired by fashion or even a pose set and you are eager to get right into it you hope that when you finish the final result meets whatever expectation is in your head. I feel like with this particular session that it turned out as I expected and more. I really truly honestly love the raw emotion that flowed through when I put this together. You may even agree with me that it could be one of my best offerings in a while. Everything I used made this come together just as I had hoped it would.

Even though I haven’t put these items in the full credits I wanted to give honorable mention to the little items that helped make up the scene for this photo shoot. The round table I used is the “Barrel Table Redwood” by Trompe Loeil, the ashtray is a part of the “Lyla” bar set from [Fetch], the bottles are from a set by {Theosophy} which is no longer available, the store sadly is no more. Lastly the lighter is a part of a pose set called “Blow Smoke” by WetCat Poses. All of these items set the tone for what I was looking for as part of the theme. As I said it does have a bit of raw emotion to it and we’ve all at one point in time or another have felt like pain helps take away other issues surrounding us and some display it differently and in harmful ways which I do not condone, I’ll just put that out there.

This entry features items from The Men’s Department, the newest round of Man Cave, and also On9. Each one of those events are full of great finds, buys, and things that you may find hard to pass up. Marvin is actually styled for a red headed avatar but you can wear it without brows or freckles and do your own thing, which is what I’ve done here. I really like this look even though in this scene I tend to look a bit on the angry side. TonkTastic is a brand that has been around a long time, I remember one of my first pairs of combat boots were made by this store. They are still very relevant today and have just done a collaboration with Hermony to bring us this really awesome shirt. Sizes included are Aesthetic, Belleza, Classic Avis, Signature, SLink, and TMP. This is really a great everyday shirt to do just about whatever you want in.

I am a jeans and t-shirt guy for the most part because when I’m not really doing a shoot or having to wear fancier clothing I just like to relax and look comfortable as I would in the real world. So I needed to find a pair that would go well with the shirt I had in mind. I realized I had picked these up at TMD and hadn’t found an outfit to match them with so it was naturally a good fit. These jeans have built in boxers (which you can change from 6 different designs or remove them with the included HUD). There are 9 denim colors to choose from as well and come fitted for avatars that own Aesthetic, Belleza, Signature, SLink, or TMP bodies. There is also an option for a bootcut version for the boot wearing crowd.

I am a fan of jewelry of all types in the real world and I’ve been trying to figure out ways to bring that into the virtual one. I was looking around on the marketplace and happened upon this ring. Being the fan of music that I am as well, the piano keys spoke to me and I knew I just had to have it. I really like the promise that bento rings have and how they actually move with your fingers in poses and AOs which they did not do before bento.

I really hope Ysoral continues to make cool rings because I will return to their shop in the future.

Drot has mostly been associated with being a creator of hair and other accessories but they’ve gotten into the build game and have been releasing prefabs and skybox’s such as “Apt Zero” for the Man Cave event. I really loved the old abandoned look of this. It had that dark effect that I wanted to utilize as well. Major kudos to Drot for putting out a really cool skybox seting.

This was the center piece of this photo/look/blog. When I first saw the advertisement for this it caught my eye. It gave me the chills a little bit because of all the unhinged type of things I could create with it. While you can buy each pose separate why would you when you get the exclusive pose with the Fatpack. I remember at one time watching a movie where someone was putting a knife between their fingers really fast while drinking to see if they would make a mistake and put the knife in their hand; this pose replicates that image. I am sure a lot of interesting pictures can be created with this set and there is also a female version as well to purchase.

It’s that time again for another new look. I went super casual this time and found away to incorporate a new pair of low tops and one of my favorite energetic anthems. Most are familiar with the theme of this song as being kind of a soccer hooligan fight song and is very catchy. I found that the [VALE KOER] “LIFTOFF TRAINERS” that are currently for sale at the Kustom9 event fit perfectly for this outing, as it fits the brand of sneaker mentioned within the song.

Those who keep up with this site know of my love for low top shoes, athletic or non-athletic alike. Because of all the ways you can style the FatPacks for the [VALE KOER] brand, it was all too easy of a choice to take advantage of. The value itself makes it also practical then just buying several different styles of the same shoe. The package contains sizes for Belleza, Maitreya and SLink for the ladies as well as Gianni, SLink, and TMP for the fellas. There’s also standard size for both genders to wear that may not have a mesh body yet.

Avi-Glam has a new skin out at the latest round of Cosmopolitan called “Simon”. I am wearing the Light tone, which I feel for their brand fits my personal needs the best. It also comes included with a brow shaper and a body shape, which I opted out of for this session.

My hair is from the Limit8 event and was created by lock&tuft. The “Downed” style Fatpack is a limited edition at the event so once all the copies are sold out it will be gone forever. It comes with 3 different styles to choose from, The first two are very much alike with subtle differences in length. The third version has a small bun in the back which is tied. The product also includes a HUD to change the color of the tie as well as the 3 different HUDS to change the main hair color..

The clothes I chose were items I had in my closet, one of them I’ve featured a few times in the “Lennon Long Line” Jeans by RIOT. They work perfectly with low top shoes which I wear pretty often so I tend to choose these to compliment them when there are not another pair of jeans that I’ve picked up. The tanktop I have on is from N-Uno and is called “Tom” and first appeared as a part of a previous round of Men Only Monthly. The one thing I found is that it does not work well with the jeans as far as fit which I would have had to do post editing on if I would have taken a picture from the back side. All things considered the Gianni size fits pretty well with the body. The package also comes with sizes for Adam, SLink, and TMP bodies.

There are only a few short days more if you have not been to Pose Fair ’17. Things seemed to get past me all too quickly in my coverage of this event but let me tell you there is so much there for everyone that you should definitely check it out for yourself. In this photo I am using a pose from the “Tell Me You Love Me” set from LW Poses. It worked really well going to The Last Forever sim and being able to lean myself up against the wall of a restaurant to have a cold one and watch the goings on.

The Pose Fair of 2017 comes to a conclusion on the 29th of April.

After some needed rest and relaxation I’m back with another great look for you all. I became inspired when I was listening to some music over the weekend and came across the song that would become the theme for this photo session.

I didn’t want to quite mimic the look of the original video for the song so I kinda took a few elements out of it and made it my own and I feel like I did extremely well. Probably so well that the Gallagher Bros. if they could manage to be in the same room for a moment would find a way to fight about it. Not like they ever needed any reasons!

Some of these items I already had just kinda waiting in my closet to use (some have already been used but begged to be featured again) and the rest are things I picked up along the way.

The face I have on this time out is new at the current round of Men Only Monthly and is the “Nardy” skin by the No. Project. Sometimes I have difficulty choosing which kind of tone I want to use from this store because the numbers they use just kind of roam all over the place and don’t necessarily go from light to dark. However, I found a great one in the 08 tone. The HUD you purchase gives you the option to start with a hairbase and eyebrows or neither at all. You can add or subtract with the HUD as you wish.

Also from Men Only Monthly are the “Columbia” jeans from E-Clipse Designs. These jeans fit absolutely perfectly with the Signature size along with the body itself. I didn’t have to do any editing whatsoever with this and they go great with low top shoes which I always seem to wear whenever I can. Also included in the package are sizes for SLink Physique and TMP mesh bodies if you do not have a [SIGNATURE] Gianni body.

The shirt I’m wearing is from ExalteD and was originally released at the March round of Men Only Monthly. It got lost for a minute in my closet but as I was looking for something to put this look together, I found it again and it was perfect for the visual I had. If you happened to miss it at the event I’d go take a look at their main location and grab a demo.

There’s also still time to hit the current April round of FaMESHed and get the wonderfully crafted “Dawn” backdrop from Wetcat & Lemon. There are two versions you can purchase: one with poses included or one without. You do get both versions if you elect to go with the version with the poses. It’s a great scene of a bedroom with a curtain blowing from the breeze. This is the second backdrop that I have acquired at FaMESHed from this brand and can tell you the quality is bar none. If you are a fan of backdrops you’d certainly like this one.

Lastly, you have a little time to grab the “Iram Eyes” by MESANGE at the On9 event which comes to a conclusion in a few short days. There are 15 individual eyes to choose from or you can get them all in a Fatpack that includes a HUD that works with both the included mesh eyes and also works with OMEGA applier enabled eyes as well.
