When on a roll the best thing to do is not to question things and just keep it going and so I am posting my second straight seasonal winter photo but this time I am not alone. I brought my wife along for the ride to watch me do crazy dumb stuff and hopefully not kill myself (which includes sledding off of a hill). We visited the wonderful location of Mesmeric Cove which is a seasonal sim run by two of our good friends, Yoshi and Duckie. I was already in the winter mindset and also had some fun things from The Men Jail that I thought I would feature so let me get started on that.

Kaju will be releasing the “Magnus Sweater” this weekend as part of the event and for anyone that is a fan of bulky, warm, sweaters this is the perfect thing. It has that cozy feel to it and is definitely something that would keep the body warm on a cold day (providing you have another shirt on underneath because trusting cold weather is not a smart choice).

Playing outside is usually a past time for kids but I can’t help myself with the “Sleddin Around” prop and pose set by Urban Mind Poses. This is the same store that made the Rhapsody Poses that I blogged from last months TMJ event and really liked and this set isn’t any different. It’s a lot of fun with a great set of poses and mesh sled that allows for fun winter photos like what I did in this blog post.

I’m fairly certain that after hopping that cliff my wife thinks I’m surely done for but most of the time I tend to land the right way which will allow me to have fun and blog another day haha!

The last part of my haul for The Men Jail as it relates to this post are the “Drama Set” eyes by GLOOM. This is my first experience with the brand and while it is sometimes difficult to blog things such as eyes I hope that the closeup I captured helps you see that these eyes are pretty cool. One of the toughest things about eyes is making the choice of what color iris to wear and since this is a winter photo I ended up going with grey, it just seemed fitting to me.

These eyes are really detailed and they have to be seen for themselves honestly as I’m not even sure that I’m capable of capturing them but I certainly tried my best and I can say that with assurance.

After my last blog post which was something out of the ordinary for me, I’ve been getting a lot of feedback and all of it has been positive. Which has really put a smile on my face knowing that people are seeing my work and talking to me about it. Trying different things like that is what being an artist is all about and sometimes the risks you take work and sometimes they don’t. I’ve been happier with what I’ve been able to post here since the beginning of the year.

February is a month that hosts Valentine’s Day and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea mostly because of how commercialized it’s become. I think there are ways to honor it without being over the top just by finding simple ways of showing your significant other such as telling them how much you appreciate them. One of the things I’ve been enjoying is doing photos with Rosalie and being able to display them here every now and again; even though this is a male fashion oriented blog but it’s nice to have that women’s touch.

For a while I’ve wanted to use the song I chose as this the soundtrack for this blog entry. It’s been tucked away in my memory and in my trusty notebook of ideas that I keep in my desk and it’s just been waiting for the right time and now was the perfect time with some of the things I pulled together to complete the scene.

Surprisingly this didn’t take a lot of fuss to put together and it helps that Rosalie puts together excellent outfits so that when I ask for her assistance I never have to direct her; it is almost effortless other than setting up the right angles and getting the lighting the way I want it. I feel that with the backdrop of the bowling alley that it makes for a great scene of a date night between two people who are very much one at heart.

To complete my look I used mostly all of the same visage as the last look (minus the lipstick and am wearing the regular Aaron skin as opposed to the baby face version). The clothing is mostly things I had in my closet save for the hooded sweatshirt which is a new item from Kustom 9, which it’s been a long time since I’ve purchased something from there so it’s nice to scatter my posts with items from different events to help get people their shopping on.

Rosalie is wearing mostly the same visage as most of her posts save for the hair; as for her clothing she has a double helping of her favorite brand, Neve, which her jacket/shirt combo is a new item that can be found at the Uber event.

As an afterthought I should have color coordinated with her better but then again I don’t really think we’re that kind of couple that has to match with everything we wear as I find that just a tad bit odd but I’m not against it either by any means. It just isn’t the type of style we go with.

What really brought this idea to me was the latest couples pose from my friends at Image Essentials who provided me with the first pose in their “Sweet Nothings” series of poses in which this one is available at the Truth Or Dare Affair 3 event that just started a couple of days or so. It really does capture the title of the pose as it is a very sweet couples pose that shows closeness and love between two people.

Another blog entry is in the books as I continue my journey to my next milestone and it shouldn’t be too far before I accomplish it as ideas seem to keep coming in more and more each day and I keep writing notes so I don’t forget them. Time for me to wrap this up so I can get back to working on the next scene in a day or so.

This hoodie had me agonizing on if I should get just one or purchase the whole thing. After milling around I finally decided to get the FATPACK which I’m sure doesn’t surprise anyone. There were just too many options that I liked for me to turn it down even if I thought it was a bit pricey as it seems most FATPACKS have become as of late. It comes with a HUD that gives you the ability to change nearly all the parts of the hoodie (which gives you so many options). I definitely recommend this to anyone who tends to wear a lot of this type of apparel.

One of the things I really like about the HME is that it’s not just clothing, there’s skins and shapes and tattoos and even poses as well as backdrops like this one. Rosalie and I both enjoy going on a bowling date every once in a while and this reminded me of that so I thought it would be a fun photo capture for the both of us and easier to use than trying to go to an actual alley and do a shoot. One of the touches I liked were on the sides of the walls with the neon signs which I thought were clever and well planned out. Combined with the Image Essentials pose it was a great setting and came together well.

One of the things I like best about this pose (and obviously I don’t use couples poses often) is that the angle of the pose you are able to see both the male and females faces as some poses normally lose that and with hairstyles sometimes covering up even more than that it makes it hard to see what the couple is truly expressing. Kay Weston is a very competent pose maker in the fact that she gets it right. Not just with couples poses, with the variety that Image Essentials releases which is why I am proud to be a blogger for them and create scenes which sometimes are not ones you would expect.

It looks like I am going to get in at least one more post in 2017 (just a few hours now until the clock strikes midnight where I’m at). I thought I’d go out with something light and refreshing. A fun little shoot that I did with fellow blogger and sister-in-law, Lucie Bluebird-Lexington (of the Bluebird’s Song blog which you should totally check out) and my wife also joined in on the shoot. So thank you to both of you ladies for helping me round out another exciting year of blogging.

I‘m featuring the pose you see the girls on which is by Image Essentials (a TCK brand partner). As you can see the two ladies are having fun coming down from a snow hill but they seem to be heading a bit auspiciously towards me and the snowman I built. I don’t see anything good coming from that but maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll manage to steer away from me at the last minute!

I wanted to give you guys a better view of the “Snow Day” pose and prop from Image Essentials. While I could have gotten on the saucer (or sled) or whatever you wish to call it, it is built more for females so I figured I’d let them have the fun on this one, as I’ve got just about the entire year to photograph myself. I’m still in the main shot and a few of the alternate takes so it comes full circle in a way.

I had not planned my outfit to be the same brand but when I saw the Parka from Lenox at The Men’s Department, I decided to venture to their store and found the pants and boots which felt perfect for my cold weather outdoors weather look. I really liked these products so much that I did purchase the FATPACKS for all of them so that I could wear this combination in other color options when the mood strikes me.

I wanted to keep this short and sweet because I know most people won’t probably be seeing this until tomorrow or maybe sometime way later depending on when they recover from their New Years celebration. For the past several rounds of Men Only Monthly, I’ve seen this newer brand called Vango release hair. I liked the hair but I just had similar styles from other brands in what they were releasing so I did not bite at the time. At this current round they have a hair out with a version that includes a beanie and one without it. I chose to purchase the style with the beanie as it fit the look I was going for. With that I also picked up the Naturals pack so that I’d have the basic colors of hair you usually see around. It’s a nicely made product and definitely steers me in their direction for the future.

Parka jackets are very well one of your best friends if you live in a cold weather climate. I personally have one myself and that is why I decided to pick this item up at TMD. With the FATPACKS being so affordable I couldn’t help myself but to get all of the colors so that I can change it up if I use it in more than one wintery shoot (which is very possible). This item goes well with other Lenox products such as the wool sweater that I am wearing as well as the flannel shirts they sell. The coat itself does not have a shirt option included so you will have to find an appropriate add-on (unless you prefer to wear it bare chested).

It seems like spring and summer is not arriving fast enough (at least in my area) so I thought I’d warm the spirit with a lovely beach couples photo that for you gentleman is loaded with new goodies from events such as The Avenue and the now monthly SIGNATURE Event. I also have some great news for those of you who are looking for a good pair of jeans. I’ll get to that in just a moment but here’s the low down on the latest event releases.

I was browsing my go to website Seraphim to look at the latest events and shopping guides and I stumbled upon an event called The Avenue. I don’t believe it’s been around very long and if it has it hasn’t really hit my radar but I thought I would give it a look through to see if there was anything that I might want to use. While looking I found a brand called Erde that have released a skin called “Kai”. I thought it looked interesting so I went over there and grabbed a demo. This skin definitely has a macho side to it with facial stubble already built in so there was really no need to add anything to it. I do implore you though if you head to The Avenue to take a look at this please take a demo because the skin tone chart is not the usual light to dark. I found that after applying the demonstration that tone #7 was the right fit for me. They also have for purchase the fatpack of skin appliers so you don’t have to instantly run to the main store just so you can look like a whole human being.

After a bit of a break, the SIGNATURE Event is back with a vengeance. Let me tell you for someone that owns both the head and the body this place was like a candy store. Clothes, skins, just about everything you might want is there for you to bring home. One of the items that you can purchase from there is the “Andrew” Tank Top from RIOT. Now let me tell you even though I received a review copy as the brand is one of my sponsors, I would still buy this tank because it’s the epitome of summer wear. The entire collection of colors would be worth it because there are a ton of them and I’m definitely not disappointed in this release. Also included in the package are sizes for Adam, SLink Physique, and TMP mesh body types.

I paired the tank with another item from RIOT, the “Lennon Long Line” Jeans which compliment it well not only in the way they fit together but also because these jeans are just really top of the line.
