Five years ago when I began blogging I told myself and those closest around me that this blog would be strictly male fashion and while it is primarily still focused on the male POV, I find myself challenging myself more. I do not consider these challenges as going back on my vision for this site but more of building on to what I’ve already accomplished.

I’ve thought about the conversation I had with Lucky about going outside of the box or basically just challenging me to do something that I haven’t. Seeing as how I’ve been blogging items that suit the fairer gender I think that it can’t be considered a challenge for me anymore and that put me on a path of trying something that was even more of a challenge.

As the only animation store that is a part of Pose Fair (as well as a sponsor to the event), Move! Animations Cologne has released the fourth volume of their “Alana” dance set. The challenge that I gave myself was to show you just a preview of what to expect out of this set for the club goers on the grid. I do not profess to be an expert when it comes to vlogging and this probably really can’t be considered one but I have attempted to make a video to better showcase this item.

Keep in mind that I’m a novice and that while I am not sure that I’ll blog animations much, this was a lot of fun trying to learn what I could. The video seemed a lot better in quality before I uploaded it to the TCK Youtube Channel but I think that somewhere along the editing process I may have mucked up a setting or something but I will consult some people that have more experience before I do another video.

Stepping out of my comfort zone has really helped me in a lot of ways as it has opened up not only more potential opportunities but also opened up more ways to use the creativity I have tucked away in my head. It seems like I have maybe outgrown my outlook of just being a male fashion blogger and as scary of a thought as it was at first, branching out has given me a way to explore the virtual world even more.

As time goes on I am finding that the more I step outside of my box the more confidence I gain with each attempt at something new. It’s growth and I think we should all grow in positive ways.

Now that I’m blogging items for female avatars now and again I find that coming up with creative things hasn’t been harder nor has it been easier. I am finding out that I do come up with some pretty good ideas that I might never would have blogged on my own before this time so I will take it as I can get it. I love to create visual stories to songs and sometimes it’s not always the stuff I listen to all the time or every day.

It allows me to even include genre’s that I might not have considered in the past as well. Honestly I’ve never had anything against Lady Gaga prior to her turn in the remake of “A Star Is Born” in which the music is fantastic and truly shows her talents outside of the theatrics and shock value we’ve all known from her with her strange dresses and music videos.

From the moment I saw the Versov “Rodeo Drive” backdrop an idea jumped into my head right away. I had some photags from a gacha that I played last year at some point and also a great pose set from one of my sponsors, Image Essentials called “Holiday Shopping” and yeah it’s not really anywhere near the holidays right now but when you love shopping any day can be a holiday so that’s what I’m going with.

This set has eight different poses each with their own set of shopping bags for each hand so that you can show off how boss you are when you are out on a shopping spree. This set has been around for a while and I didn’t get a chance to blog it when it was new but thankfully I was able to do so now and also bring attention to it to maybe a new set of people who missed it when it was brand new.

So I’ve checked off the Versov backdrop and because there’s not much to say about it’s features other than the fact that is a well made mesh facsimile of what Rodeo Drive looks like with the street full of shops with trees and benches. For bloggers and photographers alike it is about as realistic as can be with perfect textures so if you’re interested in taking photos of yourself browsing stores or shopping like I’ve done this is a great way to do it.

Putting that aside, I have two articles of clothing I’d like to share from Native Urban that I was able to combine together to make one solid outfit and it also works since it is more of a outwear thing and because it could be considered a post-dated photo from the holidays with the shopping pose set.

I’ll start at the top and work my way down of course because it’s the easiest way to do it for me. The “Melo Jacket” is a cool jacket with hoodie add-on that was originally only supposed to be a male release but at the last moment Native Urban was able to update it with a fit for Maitreya so I chose to wear both of the new releases for the body because to me they looked great together. The amount of customization in the All Colors pack makes it so easy to come up with just about any combination you can think of with the colors provided.

With the weather starting to get warmer though I’m glad I quick snuck this one in before the bug to wear more shorts and t-shirts.

Jeans are a staple in every wardrobe and it could be said that you can never have enough jeans (I’ve said this before) and it is true. There are so many types that you can fit a style to whatever you are wearing and not even feel any pressure about how you look. The “Rollup Jeans” are a denim version of “The Rollup Pants” which were a previous release not too long ago. There is a good selection of denim colors that I’ll go into when I list the features and it is practical that if you’re interested in more than one color that the All Colors option will put that styling power into your virtual hands.

In the virtual world you can have family, you can claim blood relatatives if you want and you can also call family someone you met that you have kept a great friendship for so long that the bond is strong enough that they are family. For this photo I borrowed someone I consider to be my sister and the best part is we might give each other heck with jokes but know when we get to a line and not to cross it.

I’ve known Xandria for a few years now and she herself has dabbled in photos so when I asked her if she would be kind enough to sit in on a photo session (I know that I can do them myself and have the means to but just do not have the energy or mental will to do so) she was kind enough to donate a little time so that I could complete my idea and could clear it out of my headspace to give more room for other ideas that I need to work on this week.

The only item that I am featuring as the pose set being used here is from Image Essentials. The “Polished” set worked well for my idea as well as the location that was passed along to me by my fellow blogger and friend, Gwen (thank you so much for telling me about this place!). Now that sims are starting to change their landscapes to autumn photos are going to take on a different look and feel and that is just how seasons go. Missing Melody has a fall ambience with many different photogenic spots at its location. I found a really well decorated house with all the things that make houses look good (and that maybe I would use if I knew anything about good decor work in the virtual world).

After a small little hiatus, I’m back with another look for you with new items from The Crossroads and The Chapter Four. I’ve also got a bento pose from Image Essentials that I enlisted the help of my friendly assistant, Bianca to help me with. She is wearing a new item from Creators Collection Box. Let’s get into the details everyone!

Go&See is back with a new skin available at the recently opened March round of The Crossroads. That’s right, the “Markus” skin is now available in both Pale and Tan tones. The package includes appliers for just about every body type so you shouldn’t have any issues pairing it up with your body setup. Also there’s a shape included that helps make the facial features look their best but you could also modify it yourself if you want to tweak it even further to your specifications.

With March just getting underway, The Chapter Four is also back for two weeks of retail spanning from clothing, gacha machines and more. MESANGE has released their “Cassandra Eyes” which feature 15 different tones and it comes with regular mesh eyes and also a HUD for Omega applier enabled eyes for those who have them. After much thought, the owner and creator, Jadis Ashland, has chosen to stop making appliers for Genesis Lab eyes as there is a major difference between the original mesh head eyes and the ones that are found in the bento version heads.

As I previously stated my assisant, Bianca, is wearing a cool baseball jersey/jeans combination from *KOPI* that is available presently at the Creators Collection Box event until March 18th. It comes in standard sizes but easily works with many of the mesh bodies with alphas enabled.

There are plenty more exciting things coming up around the horizon with The Men’s Department just opening and Skin Fair 2017 just about to begin not to mention some things from the already opened rounds of the Signature Event and also Men Only Monthly so stay tuned for those. Yes, I know it’s a little late as Christmas has passed but I was in the process of working on this and my last post around the same time but that one just seemed to get finished first. I think it’s still viable to show a scenario of what happens around this time of year. Celebrating with someone close to you and just appreciating the good things that come.

In my last look I was wearing the Jimmy skin by Clef de Peau for the ADAM mesh head with Bento. In this photo, I’m wearing the one designed for the Damon mesh head with Bento by [GA.EG] with some slight tweaks with the face sliders. You can definitely tell there is a difference between the two products so there’s some parity there.

For the second shoot in a row I’m wearing something from the FaMESHed event. This time it’s the Pajama Onesie in White by NOCHE. The package comes with fits for [SIGNATURE] Gianni and TMP mesh body.

I should be back for at least one more look for 2016 but just in case I don’t, I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve and let’s all strive to make 2017 better and be better ourselves in any way we possibly can.
