After going on a mass blogging binge this week I decided to recharge a little bit and take a day off yesterday and had considered doing so the whole weekend but I felt a bit jazzed and pumped (pun slightly intended) and chose to shoot this scene while it was still in my head. Maybe the idea as a whole doesn’t really gel completely because I don’t know anyone insane enough to bench press near steps but I’ve done some unconventional things in my days so I’m going to get away with it.

I was thinking of a tune that would work with this and remembered one of my old favorites that I’d play constantly when I was virtually jamming out on Rock Band. “Hysteria” by Muse has always been one of those songs that would get me hyped up because it has such a killer bass line and I always enjoyed that aspect of the song when I would play it on the game.

Working out even in the virtual world requires some high energy rock and I found it in this song and aided me along with the “Kaleb” pose set by Kokoro Poses. This set of poses is probably at the top 5 of any of the workout poses that I’ve ever had at my disposal and I didn’t have to make any adjustments to my shape to make it work and not having to add more effort into styling and setting up is a plus in my book.

One of the best things I like about Kokoro Poses is that they add an incentive with their full sets of poses by adding poses that you wouldn’t get if you purchased them as singles and really why would you want to buy just one pose especially if you change your mind mid photo and wish you had gotten one of the other poses? Track or sweat pants are in my opinion one of the best and most comfortable ways to exercise because you don’t have to worry about the pinch or bind that you might get with jeans (which to me is a no-no anyway). I originally planned to wear a shirt as well with this but I thought best to show off those ab muscles and save a shirt from getting drenched with sweat and getting all smelly.

I love the color options for the “Nick” Pants because they are all colors that I would wear and instead of copping out and wearing black or white, I went with the light (or baby) blue color represent one of the alternate old school colors of my favorite baseball team who are a game away from moving on in the National League playoffs are are perceived as underdogs that won’t get far (but I believe!) There is a nice black with white piping on the side of the pants to give it added style.

For footwear I thought the best type of shoe to pair with the pants was a lo-top sneaker and one of my favorite brands, Native Urban’s latest release fit what I was looking for. The “Pryda” sneakers are constructed similar to the “Woodboat” pair that I blogged not too long ago but they are not exact. I think even the colors available in the full pack are different from one another.

These sneakers are casual for just about any kind of situation you might find yourself in where you are not required to dress in a fancy suit. Perfect for hanging out at the beach, going to a club, or just kicking it at your place.

Lately I’ve been rolling through my list of hairs to blog from Modulus and this time out I am wearing the “Alfie” hair. This side combed hair is about chin length and can be paired with just about any type of hairbase (I chose a side faded one for this look). The best part is that you can choose between which side you have it combed to because Modulus now gives you both left and right sided versions. This has been a recent feature which I am absolutely grateful for and I’m glad that owner, Chucky Hollak, has given the option to us.

Of course I cannot forget to mention the backdrop that helped put this scene together; which is one of the recent releases from Paparazzi. It is not brand new as it was a part of one of the rounds of Cosmopolitan but their bi-weekly rounds makes it difficult sometimes to get something from there and feature it while it is brand new.

The “Graff Tagged Door” backdrop gives the feel of it being a part of an abandoned building that squatters or curious people have snuck into (also read broken into) and used their spray cans to write different things on the doors and walls or whatever else they feel like. In my mind I picture myself being someone who has found a way to make it an abandoned gym and go there to lift weights or do some kind of parkour. The ideas of where that could go are almost limitless and because it is a virtual concept I won’t have to worry about the authorities!

In my previous post I spoke about how I didn’t have a soundtrack to back the post until after I had finished taking the photos and getting everything ready. This post is quite different because I had the soundtrack and idea before I even started to put the scene together so it was an easier session from start to finish; it’s also great that I get to feature one of my newest brands to join up with These Conversations Kill.

Kokoro Poses is now a part of the brands that I have the privilege and honor to blog for. I have some experience with their work from events such as Pose Fair and also The Men Jail to name a few. They have been around a while which is great because they are established and are known to be good at what they do (which is making poses of course). The last few poses before I became a blogger for them also prompted me to apply and I hope that I can do them justice.

Backtracking a little bit here and going back to how soundtracks relate to how I put together my scenes for blogs is usually pretty simple, I take the mood of a song or simply something in their lyrics and apply it to the photo that I’m taking and fashion the atmosphere to fit as best as possible. Also finding settings that might match the overall tone helps too but doesn’t always happen as bloggers have to make do with what we have access to.

Asuma is the latest pose pack from Kokoro Poses that depects smoking actions and while I’m not telling everyone to pick up a cigarette or voluntarily smoke (as I do not in the real world) but I really like the mood that these poses produce. There is a verse in the song I’m using that talks about smoking a cigarette outside and staying until it is gone and not only is that being considerate I feel but also that it opens up more of a dialogue for contemplating something heavy. The cigarette is kind of a crutch to help alleviate a crisis.

A few days ago FaMESHed opened it’s doors back up for another round and for fans of Modulus there is extra reasons to be excited about this round with two different new hairstyles available to be purchased at the event. I am wearing “Julian” which is a short, wispy style (and sometimes my descriptions for hair styles aren’t the best so you’ll have to excuse me.) I chose this because I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t any strands of hair covering my face as you’ll see for my alternate photo close-up of the eyes I am wearing.

Modulus makes it easy to find a hairstyle that works with any kind of look you are going for or mood you are in with varieties of length to choose from; I highly doubt there is anyone who hasn’t bought a hair from this store but if not there are many events you can find them in and there is bound to be something for you so I recommend them highly.

The Men Jail is also back for a fresh new round of goodies for the fellas to take a look at and over the last few rounds I have enjoyed being able to blog the facial hairs made by the store, Purfect. Most of them are mesh constructs but this round they have a beard applier which after I added to my face I really liked how it looked and gave me a more mature appearance (as opposed to without it).

Beards are definitely one of my favorite things to put into my looks because I always feel strange when I take photos without one that is unless I’m wearing some kind of face paint or makeup. Everyone has their own thoughts about their appearance and I’m one of those people who tends to not go without some kind of facial hair whether it be stubble or a full blown mountain man beard.

Cold-Ash is one of my favorite clothing stores on the grid and has been since they first came on the scene several years ago; to me they are to casual as what Deadwool are for dress clothes. That is a high compliment I feel because both brands respectively kill it with their products and whenever something new from Cold-Ash comes out I really go crazy in my mind with excitement to try and find the right situation to be able to blog it.

The “ELLIOT” short sleeve shirt is an untucked button down shirt with the first few buttons opened for added effect and even more sex appeal. I feel like anyone who wears this will definitely get some added attention. It pairs perfectly with the “Okauchee” pants from Lenox. This outfit as I’ve put it together was meant to be super casual and not super dressy.

Segueing right into the “Okauchee” pants from Lenox which was a smooth transition I have to admit, these slacks (or pants however you wish to go with that) are slightly rolled up at the bottom so you could wear ankle (or desert) boots or do what I did and show off your socks and oxfords (which are also by Lenox fyi). This outfit is a nice break from t-shirts and jeans or shorts that I’ve been wearing a lot because I do tend to wear those things a lot.

For this post I decided to do a bit of a test with a secondary photo with a full outfit shot. With the help of green screening (which I do not use often) and a nice background pattern, I am also showing a close-up of one of the latest eye releases from Go&See. “Ares” is a really detailed set and there and all of the options that it comes with are all very cool.

When it comes to eyes there really isn’t much to say or describe other than that I recommend them very highly and many of the Go&See eye products are good for rpg’s and also for every day use.

There are times after I see several product ads in a short span that inspire me to put a look/scene together and that’s what brought out this blog post. My music knowledge stretches a long time and my mental catalogue helps me put together themes for some of the photos that I take (whether the music is good, bad or even cheesy).

Paparazzi just released a pair of nerdy sunglasses at Equal10 and that was enough to get me out to the event on the first day so that I could grab them to use for this shot. I had an 80’s type vibe in my head for it with the Animosity pose pack which is a bicycle prop/pose set. It had me itching to find a location to bring my idea to life. Ideally I wanted a location that was city like with streets and buildings and such and while I was going over some of my resources for locations I came across [SL] Amsterdam and I thought I’d take a look around.

When I arrived at [SL] Amsterdam I didn’t know what to expect really because in my mind I’d be thinking it would be a quick walk and I’d see brothels and all sorts of things that wouldn’t be productive to a photo shoot but this place is definitely not quite what I thought it was. It’s a very quiet type setting with buildings and brick roads with a lot of bicycles all over and that told me this definitely was the place.

Not to get to sidetracked I’m going to get back to Paparazzi. I am really excited that Drew is branching out to do more things because the backdrops he makes are just stellar and I really like trying to find creative ways to use them when the time is right and the fact that through a few of the conversations I’ve had with him he is a cool guy and supporting his brand is important to me. My hair is also coincidentally from the Equal10 event and is from Modulus. The Cooper hair is a short hairstyle that you can choose to have regular or faded sides with and it will still look great. While it is a short style it is a little bit longer in the front than it is in the back so you have a few wisps of hair just lightly resting against your forehead. Cooper is a style that I consider would be very trendy and can work for all seasons (even though virtually there are none).

I like the fact that Modulus releases new styles so frequently (even if it seems a bit hard to catch up as a blogger) because they all have different qualities about them that allow a blogger such as myself to be able to dress and style myself in different ways and can have a hair that I personally feel works with that outfit choice. During my process of choosing how I want to style myself I tend to base the rest off of what hairstyle I have first and work with that and I have a variety to work with.

One thing I know that I can likely expect when it comes to digging into all the fun things that come with being a blogger for The Men Jail is that the Purfect brand is going to release a beard each round and 4 out of 5 times I truly want to wear it (like in an every day type of capacity). The style of these beards seem to really fit my style and they look good and are made well.

It reminds me of several styles I have seen worn by real life people some of them are known as entertainers. I remember before mesh beards were actually achievable and once they were and also bento arriving and getting things to fit right there, I had a legacy tattoo beard of almost this exact style so it is nice to be able to kind of go back to a style that I’ve worn before.

With the type of scene that I was photographing I thought that it would be best if I wore sneakers go to along with the bike pose from Animosity. Riding a bike with anything other than shoes (barefoot or with boots are counter productive and not fun for anyone who has ever tried). I was in luck that my people at Native Urban just released the “Tomorrow” sneakers at The Men’s Department.

One of the praises I can sing about footwear made by this brand besides the attention to detail that is taken is the amount of customization that can be achieved with these sneakers. Just about any color combination that you could think of that you might want is at your fingertips with the FATPACK HUD. Two things truly inspired me more for this blog post than anything and I’ve already talked about the Papazzi RetroNerd Shades but I was quite pleased when I saw an ad for the Animosity pose set that is a part of the yearly Men Only Hunt now going in it’s 11th iteration. The “Billy” Pose pack consists of a mesh bicycle with poses that have the user riding or just chilling with the bike.

I really love the creativity behind this pose set but if there’s on thing that I might have done differently is I would have made the bike have an option to change the color. I love black but having different options would help in certain lighting to be able to capture it better but take it for what it is, my opinion and nothing more. As I said I love the set but that is what I would have done differently.

When there are so many different events with more than a handful of items I want to take home with me or sometimes in my case I might happen to be a blogger for the event and have so much to choose from because it is all so good the reality is that time wise I’m not going to be able to make posts for every single item during the event so I’ll have to pick and choose what products feature in a photo (or photos) for a blog post.

However, no matter what the show always must continue and I’ve got more coverage of Pose Fair for you! This event which is now quarterly instead of just a singular month during the year is continuing to be a juggernaut for those who are big into blogging and photography and need things to help fuel their creativeness. I can tell you that the things I’ve discovered from the event have really given me quite a bit of a boost.

X.T.C Poses has a rather nice male pose set to accompany the two female sets they have up for sale at Pose Fair, “Giovanni” is something I consider to be a good set and I knew right away what I wanted to do with it once I unpacked it. I think that overall the full frame shot I captured was exactly what I envisioned when I was putting the scene together.

It’s only been a few days now since The Men Jail paroled it’s July round to the public and there are a lot of great items at the event that I’m pretty excited about using in my photos and one of them is the [LOB] Running Shirt (which yes it is more like a tanktop but we’re not really keeping score are we?) This tank fit so perfectly with the HOLLOWAY jeans from {Cold-Ash} from my last post (which I am wearing in another denim color). With the lighting I chose to use I decided to stray away from wearing the black version of the tank and went with the gray (I would say heather gray but again who is keeping score) so the details of it could be seen more clearly.

I also like that I coordinated my outfit to have jeans and a shirt that had strategic rips in them to make them a bit similar; I thought it was a good idea to go for as well with the soundtrack of the blog as well considering that one of the themes to it is destruction. Makes the most sense to me at least where that’s concerned.

In this blog I’m featuring a recent hair that was originally released at last months Man Cave but with some real world things I got a little bit behind and missed covering it while it was at the event but I really like the hair and want to make sure that those who may not have been able to get to the event while it was there have another opportunity to get it now that it has been moved to the mainstore as a release.

The “Dalton Hair” is a nice shorter side-combed style that really works as a summer cut because it’s not super long and you can easily shave the back and sides of your head (ie shaved hairbase ofc) and it will still look fantastic. For the time being I returned to darker tones of hair and can’t specifically say I have a reason why it just seems to fit at the moment and that’s the great thing about being able to change from one moment to the next is that perhaps for my next photo I can sport another color. Modulus has added several of the recent event items that have lapsed into their store and marketplace so check them out after you finish reading this blog entry (or you can always tab out and come back because I’m totally cool with that!)

Before I get to the next thing that I’m putting a spotlight on in this blog, I’d like to take a moment to thank the creator of Paparazzi (maker of fine backdrops), Drew Sunflower. I’ve had several interactions with him over the last month or so and personally I think he’s a great person. Not that I’m trying to say that all creators aren’t but there are some that seem to go over and beyond to show appreciation to the people who blog their products that may not blog for them specifically so kudos to you for being one heck of a person. With that said it’s a good way to segue into the next and last spotlight of this blog.

Equal10 is now open for the July round and I haven’t had much of a chance to take a look at all of what’s up for sale but I did see a small handful of things that I’m going to have to take a trip there to give a closer look to. Aside from that, Paparazzi has released a really cool backdrop called “Metropolis Bridge” that really blew me away. The construction and the overall feel of this kind of put me in that sort of Bladerunner mixed in with a future possible Tokyo vibe. I really can’t get over the detail and if I don’t cut myself off I’d never stop talking about it.

The July round of Pose Fair is really stocked full of great poses and props and as a blogger I have no idea how someone as a consumer won’t be leaving that place with an inventory full of poses and props. There’s so much it is mind blowing but it’s good to have an event like this that helps anyone who works with taking virtual photos as a hobby or if they do it for business purposes.

Cuca Designs along with Illuzion have crafted a super fun set of poses and accessories for the fair that are really inspired. The Moving Day Fatpack is a set of poses that show a side of moving that you probably won’t likely see in most situations but for maybe a newly married couple or a couple moving in together for the first time the aspect of it would be enjoyable to a point. Because let’s face it anyone who has moved house or from one apartment to another knows that it can often be problematic, however, we’re in the virtual world so there is none of that going on.

Also as an accompanying piece there is the New Beginnings Backdrop (which is sold separately) but totally worth grabbing to complete the scene.

When the Signature Event made its return I was not completely convinced that I’d really wear the Gianni body to warrant a visit but luckily I was convinced to going back to it for the time being because Native Urban has released a new shirt that has me excited. The Kalimba Tee is definitely worth giving more life to Gianni for me. For people who are sometimes skeptical about Fatpacks due to cost or whatever reason might deter them from it, I can tell you that any time you purchase one from Native Urban you are getting quality. I’ve been a fan of this brand long before I was chosen to be one of their bloggers and the passion the creator has for his work is easily visible.

These jeans are very well made and so much so that the way the rip on the knee doesn’t cause any issues with your body poking through in the wrong spots, that’s how you know that time was taken into getting these fitted right for the mesh bodies they include jeans for in the package. I also like that they offer with each size two versions (straight leg and rolled up cuff) depending on what style shoe you may have on this is a plus.

As you can see Brena is making another appearance here and most of her is her usual besides the new July VIP group gift from TRUTH, which is a pretty cool updo that has plenty of style options including a ring of daisies around the bun. It’s a cute style and I’m sure those of you who are VIP’s have already made sure to get it already but for those of you who aren’t VIP’s of TRUTH what’s the holdup? A full pack of hair every month for a one time fee of $350L is not very much of a cost when you look at what you’re getting.

As I sit down to write out this blog most people might have a sparkler in their hand and or a beverage of their choice celebrating America’s day of independence. It has a lot of meaning and also different meanings to people here in the US and beyond the parties and family get together’s, it means that we are a free country but with that freedom our nation has paid many prices for that. So before I get into the rest of this posting, I’d like to thank all the people that have served our country past, present, or in the near future and also to the families of those whose loved ones lost their lives defending all the beliefs we stand upon. Being able to live without complete fear or terror is something that none of us should ever take for granted.

Now that I am done with the super serious part of this post I can get into the actual blog itself and the scene I shot. The other day I was talking with one of my longtime friends and they suggested that I do a photo around this time using the song “Fourth Of July” by Fall Out Boy for a soundtrack. I couldn’t quite remember the song so I went back and listened to it and some ideas came through my head as to how I could do it and going through some of my event items and other purchases I pulled together a cool scene that I was able to do right in my own home without having to go find a location.

While I am hitting the Pose Fair super hard right now I am featuring another gacha set but this time from [Phantom Animations] whose items I have blogged in the past from a different event. The set is called “Just A Selfie” and as the name implies offers poses which include a phone as if you are taking or looking at photos on it; I was able to use the pose without having to adjust my shape for it which is sometimes necessary.

Modulus has been known in the past for their clothing and skins and facial hairs, known more now for their cool hair and accessories…they are now trying their hand at something different. It was something the people asked for and they responded and have finally released body hair as a part of “What Men Want”. I figured I would try this out as most avi’s that go shirtless are usually waxed and do not have hair whatsoever. Putting this on made me feel a bit more like a normal guy instead of a magazine model.

It never surprises me when Chucky Hollak tries something new because I know that when he does that he’s going to ace it and it only makes me wonder what is next for him and the Modulus brand. You just never know what you might see hitting event shelves or his main store shelves.

Birth is releasing a stubble called “Bristly Beard” and I am a big fan of it already from the moment I looked at my face and I have a feeling that this item will do well for guys that like just a bit of facial hair without having a lumberjack beard so this is definitely for that kind of person.

While it might be nice to take a tropical vacation somewhere in reality, the best thing I can do is achieve that in the virtual world without spending nearly as much money and not have to worry about getting on a plane since that would probably be a fun task (much akin to Mr. T’s character in the A-Team). There’s a lot to cover in the next couple weeks so by the time I am finished I just may find my way back to the beach for a little bit of deserved R&R.

Pose Fair is back for it’s July round and let me tell you that when I start seeing poses come in I get pretty excited to see what kind of things I can do with the creations that the talented pose makers and their brands have created for the event. I’m starting out with a gacha pose set from Ardent Poses and one of the things that I do different is that I blog common items because sure RARES are the thing that everyone wants but in my mind is they are harder to get most times and by featuring one that might be easier to obtain it might give someone an idea for a photo of their own.

Modulus has released a hat/hair combination that I felt was perfect for this scene because it really goes well with the rest of what I picked for my “vacation” outfit. “Ben” is what I would consider a pork-pie hat that has a row of locks peaking out from under it and for this entry I used the Monochromes version which deviates from my usage of the browns but back when I started blogging my hair was always black so this is a bit of a call back to those times. Recently I learned that the Signature Event was back after a long break and it’s been a while since I really bothered with buying clothes for the body but considering when you look at the money involved in purchasing something such as a body I definitely want to make the most of it so it doesn’t feel like I’ve wasted funds on something that I rarely use.

With that said I went to the event hoping to find something to go along with the Chuck Size “Benjamin” shorts that I’ve featured in other posts. My thoughts were leaning towards a Hawaiian type shirt and wouldn’t you know that the moment I walked in there staring me in the face was a dual shirt combo (the outer shirt was a tropical type design and the inner was a tanktop). Shopping trips like this are the best when you can find something right away and get back home to put it on and get to work. At this point my outfit was complete as I intended to do an above the knee shot which wouldn’t require footwear and also I would be on a beach (no shoes, no problem!)

In less than a week, America will be celebrating Independence Day and there will be celebrations and fireworks all over but today myself and this blog are celebrating something else entirely. The milestone 500th entry on these pages has finally been set and there were many times that I never thought that I could make it this far and that I would run out of ideas or I would never improve but through perseverance combined with determination and hard work here I am.

Blogging as many of my colleagues can tell you can be a lot of work and tons of effort to get the right style, angle, windlight setting and combine it sometimes with a few light touch ups in their favorite photo manipulation software to bring what you see on website blogs and also Flickr itself. It can prove to be exhausting at times as well but when you finally see the results of your work live and see it receive any kind of positive reception no matter how big or small it is, the feeling of accomplishment washes away any of the doubt you might have had during the process.

For me blogging is a lot like therapy (I’ve referred to it as cheap therapy at times) because it sometimes help deal with issues I’ve personally experienced or the hurt of someone close to me when they’ve needed my shoulder. To be able to come up with scenes to create visual digital art can be difficult as well or might come easy to you depending on the situation; it also can help bring a little light into what seem like dark times and struggles.

Before I get on with the technical stuff I want to thank a lot of people and I’m pretty sure that they all know who they are so I don’t have to single them out. They are the ones that have supported me through the beginning stages of this blog when my skills were not nearly what they are today or what they can be tomorrow. Also those who have come along the way to give input and lend support during the course of this 4 year journey that will continue on until I see it no longer viable. Friends and family have also made this easier with their support and encouraging me to never give up on something I love so dearly.

To the brands and events past and present that have given me the opportunity to showcase their items when others wouldn’t even look at me sideways, I thank you for the opportunity because it’s your products that fuel my passion to create and make the best digital photos in a virtual world. Our loyalty to one another is something that I will never forget.

Lastly to anyone who has ever viewed this site whether it be on purpose or by accident but took away something when they closed it out, I appreciate you as well because knowing that what I do has been viewed and occasionally commented on shows that besides the love I have for it, it not all for nothing. Keep coming back and I will do my best to help you find great clothing, accessories, poses, and now and again furniture.

This dream is very much alive for me and has plenty of fuel to burn for a long time to come.

Go&See is a brand that I find has a wide variety of unique products from skins to makeup and also eyes which is what I’ve got here in this post for you to see. “Equa” is the very most recent release by the brand that I find to be very cool. Now I hope that I’ve done them justice in the close up photo that I took because one of my weaknesses that I feel like I need to work on is getting better close up shots to get a good view of the eyes. I recommend them for those of you that like to do horror or sci-fi role-playing. You could just as well wear them for normal every day if you want as well and you would certainly stand out in the crowd.

Rarely do I ever venture away from Modulus when it comes to wearing hair but for this photo I had to deviate from my norm because I just didn’t have the right feeling. I came across the latest hair from Vango named “Aaron” and it is a long style that reminds me of one my favorite actors, Brandon Lee, who was only around for a short time. This hair spoke to me (not literally of course) and was instantly a part of my vision for this look and I knew it might be a style that I would go back to when it suited my needs for a long hairstyle of that sort.

Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be inspired by any song by Buster Poindexter in the history of ever but apparently I am hitting my TBT a day early and going back in time to the late 80’s (1987 to be exact). I was wracking my brain to see if I could find a song that would fit what I was going for which is technically a summer theme but most of the songs I thought of or remembered didn’t quite work until I remembered this gem.

The Men Jail has been underway now for about a week or so and plenty of great things to go there to check out and while not every item might fit your fashion style or decorating style, I feel there is something for everyone and there is at least one thing that could be taken home upon visiting the event.

We’re getting to that point where (at least in my part of the USA) summer is coming and I wanted to capitalize on that with a few of the products that I have going on in this entry including the “Outside Washers” by Grime. This outdoor shower is jam packed with different things that will make anyone wonder why they don’t have anything like this on their beach. It has many editable faces so that it can be recolored to the heart’s desire and poses for both singles and couples (which I may warn you some of the poses are not PG so keep that in mind!) The shower itself is only 19LI so it really won’t break your land bank and it is also materials enabled as during the time of my taking the photos I could see the reflection of things bouncing off of it which is pretty darn cool too.

Since I am showering in my main photo, I wanted my hair to seem like it was a bit wet when I did my closeup shots and the “Joshua” hair by Modulus fit that perfectly. 40 hair colors to choose from via 5 different color packs (with a FATPACK option available) along with an integrated color picker in each HUD that make Modulus one of the best bargains for your money when it comes to hair. Previous things I have said concerning the brand still stand up and they are by far a favorite and one I would recommend to anyone who asked me that was in the market for a new style or just coming back from an absence and needed something fresh.

You can find this hair at the mainstore now as it was previously a part of the last FaMESHed Go round, but it recently ended on the 10th of June. Now you don’t have an excuse to go to the store and find yourself a new hairdo or two (or three even).

I have a double dose of Modulus in this blog post and am also showing off their new “Eyebrows Set 1” that recently made its debut at Hipster Men’s Event. The included HUD gives you several different color options along with a tintable white application that can be adjusted to the needs of those wearing them. These brows have appliers for both CATWA and LeLutka (Omega) so that no one loses out on being able to have these for their aesthetics.

Hipster Men’s Event runs until the 16th of June so you still have a few days to go browse the event which is something I’d encourage because there are some nice things there.

Salt & Pepper is a brand that I previously only remembered for female hair but it seems they are branching out into other things and you can get a taste of that at the current round of The Men’s Department with the “Ethan” tanktop. There are so many things I could say about this that I almost do not have the right words to correctly put my thoughts in order.

This tanktop is part of a line of products that work with the water in-world so that when you go into it, it becomes wet. When you come out of the water you can slowly watch it dry (which takes a total of two and a half minutes to complete) or there is a quick dry towel included so that you can wipe yourself off right away and instantly become dry. I did my best to capture the stage of it being wet in my closeup photo so that you can see this at work and I think it is one of the coolest things to come around in a while. From what I have learned there are products like showers and squirt guns that work along with this and several women’s products already out there (with more to come) which will add a lot of fun to the summer months (and those not so real life summer ones because hey it can stay warm 365 days a year if you want!)

Sizes for the tanktop include: Belleza (which is what I am wearing), Signature (Gianni), and SLink Physique and comes packaged with instructions and the quick dry towel that I mentioned to bring the tanktop back to its normal state.

The Men’s Department is currently underway and you have until the 31st of June to swing by and grab a demo of this really neat product.

Now that I’ve got this under wraps I am going to call it a blog post and journey back into my creative place so I can work on what’s up next (plenty of things that I have to utilize so I don’t have to worry about it too much). [#474] The Road To Nowhere…Leads To Me

While I was sitting at my desk just relaxing and full from a Bunny Day dinner (what I like calling Easter) and just wanting to put together something simple to shoot I reminded myself that there were some products from my brand partners I’d been excited about blogging and it might be a good time to dig into them (rabbit joke y’know?)

It took little time for me to get my visage figured out and quickly put together an outfit from things in my closet that were both from Cold-Ash and would pair up together well as they were pretty much made to go hand in hand. At this point it was going to be one of those fluid photo shoots that would just come together and I wouldn’t be overthinking anything but that was until I needed to figure out what I was doing for my background setting.

A backdrop would have done the trick but I wasn’t really feeling like any of the ones I had at present moment so the clear choice was to find a location to take them at; it was then that I realized that I hadn’t explored the Whole Wheat sim all that much so this was some kind of sign that hit me right in the face. I went there and just kind of did a rock/paper/scissors as to which place I was going to look around first (other than the one I was at during my first visit). I found myself at a desert like location with one side having a broken down truck and a hotel which looked a bit sketchy. My eyes then caught a glimpse of a sign that said “You Are Nowhere” and that was when my inspiration hit.

My brain started kicking into gear as I readied myself and posed next to this sign. The pose I’m using comes from the “An Emotional Man” set from Image Essentials which first debuted at the 4Mesh event but will be a new to store release (if it already isn’t). With all of the things going on today I didn’t get a chance to publish this during the time when the event would have still been open as the 1st was it’s last day of being open. This set includes 5 different depictions of emotion (with mirrored poses included). I definitely think I’ve only scratched the surface of this set as there are some really good candidates for future pictures down the road.

The only other thing I really needed was a soundtrack as this time I did not have one chosen before hand and I debated a while but it seemed very clear that even though I recently featured a song by Ozzy Osbourne in a recent blog entry, this setting was too good to not use “Road To Nowhere” and that is a solid choice and a good song in my estimation and there are probably plenty who might agree (and or disagree if it is not their genre).

Reserving the best for last I decided to try a different method for close-ups but I’m not sure how well I like it other than that I feel it turned out well. Though had I done anything different I would have made sure I got a profile of left and right instead of having myself face the same in both instances. Something though I can keep in my head for the next time I work on this style of close-up.

Starting with the top of my head you’ll see that my hairstyle is courtesy of my favorite barber, Modulus. The “Patrick” hair is a nice short style with a bit of combing action going on. This hair is one that you can find at the latest round of Hipster Men’s Event which is currently going but don’t shuffle your feet too much because it’s only their until the 16th of April. When I feel like I’m in the mood for a short style, it’s this kind of style that really suits me and I know that Modulus does a great job with the hairs that they make. With 25 colors to choose from divided into 5 packs each with an integrated color tinting HUD (a Fatpack is also available).

Men Only Monthly is an event I enjoy shopping at and also from time to time my brand partner, Go&See releases an item for it and while it is been awhile since I’ve featured an item from the event. “Liam” is my return to blogging both Go&See and an item from M.O.M which is exciting for me. As I am looking at the skin (which I am using my personal shape for) enhances the handsomeness that already exists within the skin. I have always liked their skins and have worn them for probably every head I’ve ever owned (maybe with the exception of LeLutka). I am wearing the “Pale” version of the skin but there are 4 other skin tones to choose from along with the option to purchase a shape that coincides with the skin.

As I start to wrap this up, with the transition now into April and all the new events that have restocked new items by some of our favorite designers I can’t wait to dig into some of these things and be able to share them with you with my own fashion interpretations as I’m obviously not the only male fashion blogger out there (there are some very good ones as well which I hope I can corral for you and give you the opportunity to see who I enjoy).
