I‘ve been having a lot of fun playing around with different looks and things (both male and female) for the Skin Fair. I think that this event really brings out some of my happier blogging moments so I cannot say enough that it means a lot to me to be a part of the team. I’m not going to go into a long drawn out dialog about what’s going on in the world (because that is all you see anywhere). I will just say that since just about everywhere now has been advised to keep social distance that hopefully I’ll find a little extra time to belt out a few more posts because I have a lot of looks that I’m hoping to share.

We’ve been encouraged to have two different items as a part of our looks and I’ve gone one better and have used three. This is probably one of the only time during the course of the event that I’ll be doing this unless there may be another shape that suits the look I’m going for. Most of the time though I just throw things together and if they work I’ll snap the photo and if it doesn’t then I’ll mess around until I do find something that is to my liking (and I try not to use the same combinations that I might see in someone else’s work if it can be helped.

Vendetta Skins has three different offerings at Skin Fair and in this post I am showcasing the David skin for LeLutka, best used on the “Guy” head (which is what I personally think it looks best on). The skin comes in 4 different tones (1-4 of which I have on Tone 02) with brow and browless face types. It comes in both Bakes on Mesh tattoo layers as well as an applier HUD. The body skins are sold separately if you don’t already have other faces by Vendetta.

Lush has a face tattoo for sale that I happened to find intriguing. This is not something I would do in real life but I know more and more it’s become a trend (especially in the rap genre of music). It reminds me of Lil Peep’s face tattoos in a way and it could be what inspired this tattoo into existence. I can also tell you that this tattoo is unisex and comes packaged with BOM layers and applier HUDs for both CATWA and Omega Enabled mesh heads. Honestly it helped to complete my skater look more than I could have anticipated.

Shapes are one of the hardest things to really review (personally speaking). I do, however, like how that “Jedden” shape by The Natives works with the Vendetta skin and the LeLutka head. One other bonus is that the store went above and beyond by making a distinct frame for not only the Belleza (Jake) body but also both (Geralt and Gianni) by Signature. As much as I wish that other shape stores would do that to differentiate from the types these bodies have but it is something that gets a little extra thumbs up from me.

Skateboarding is not something I ever managed to take up in the real world as a younger man (I was a walking accident waiting to happen). At least through virtual photography I can pretend any time I wish that I am zipping through the streets or on the sidewalks of whatever sim I am on with the help of the “Pro Skater Pack 1” by Space Cadet. I have found that while the store tends to create for female avatars there is enough wiggle room that poses can be used by the guys as well. This set includes 5 different poses each with an attachable mesh skateboard (one for every pose).

The Pose Fair and Skin Fair events will be both ending by the end of next week so this is a kind reminder that you have time still to get all of the items that I’ve already posted about and all of the ones that I’ll be featuring in upcoming posts this week. Do yourself a favor and if you have the time to come by and look around and pick up something from either or both, you’ll be more than glad you did.

The weekend is almost over already and it feels almost like it just started but oh well what can you do right? I needed a day or so to recharge and am back to what I know best and that’s showing off stuff I like and telling the world what I think about it in the best way I can (even though sometimes it comes out awkward).

A week of Skin Fair 2019 has gone by with another week left (it ends on the 24th, exactly a week from today). I’ve had a blast showcasing items from the event and there is still plenty more as well as ones you might not expect to see in a post here. Yep that’s right I am going to put my spin on some Skin Fair goodies that I might not have done in the past.

Today’s blog has items from stores I’ve blogged for the fair but have released more than one exclusive. I am going to start out with another skin from Vendetta in which is for either CATWA and Omega which is different from the last skin I featured as that was for the LeLutka specifically. It is a very youthful skin for those of you who tend to want your virtual selves to look younger but I’m sure that you can give it a more seasoned look with the right facial hair.

I paired it up with the “Desmond” shape from West End, which is for the CATWA “Daniel” head; both of them combined I think make a great combination. When I am looking through things and pairing them at random I never know what the results will be but with the look I put together here it turned out to be a good mix of designers.

Time for me to also get a bit deeper into this current round of The Men Jail which has really been chock full of things (some of which I may not even get to blog before the round ends). I’ll start though with the Zule Hair by Letituier, which is a medium length curly hair that has a slight part on the left side. I would say this style has a lot of volume to it. The style itself is not one that I’ve worn much because it is not often that designers create it.

My awesome shirt is one of the latest from Gild. Garrete killed it with the “Interval-T One Arm” shirt, which is more like a modified turtleneck in retrospect as the neck is a bit longer than your usual sweater or shirt. There is also a slanted intended slash across the middle of the chest/abdomen area as well as the right arm completely missing to give it a unique fashion look.

I love standard clothing (jeans, shirts, jackets and the like) as much as the next person but wearing creative and functional items like this is also fun too. It also allows for a bit of fresh air to come through in these blogs so that they don’t get as stale as they could with wearing the same type of clothing all the time.

Rounding out my review of TMJ items in this blog is for the pose set from Navajo. I see their pose set ads on Flickr quite often and when I saw this set come through as part of the event, I found the right setting to use it at. “Bento Static Pose Pack 11” is a set of smoking poses with two of the poses having a mirrored version (a mesh cigarette for either hand is included).

I am not a smoker personally (I was a very long time ago) but it just wasn’t really a good plan for me personally so if I can do it without harm virtually then (or in a potential role-play situation) that’s fine but I also at the same time am not promoting it. I see younger people take it up at staggering ages as compared to when I was in that age frame.

Today is also St. Patrick’s Day, many people all over the world (that are not likely even Irish) will celebrate by drinking copious amounts of beer to eating Corned Beef and Cabbage (which is also a tradition on this day). I myself in the real world are not Irish but my virtual heritage is so I am getting together with a few friends and just hanging out.

I hope that anyone who is out there celebrating that you stay safe and make sure you get home as well without any trouble. Many will wake up with the headache the size of a double decker bus but hit the shower get some coffee and swallow down a few aspirin and get back to it. Fun start to the week for that lot of people.

My last blog was a bit on the heavy side and to maintain the balance, I chose to do something upbeat and also because I really wanted to show off this pose by Mouni Poses that is one of the many couples poses at the Valentine’s Pop Up that still has 4 days left before it closes down. That means if you’re planning to do some kind of sweet and romantic pose with your significant other then don’t wait until the last minute and be a sad bum because you’ve forgotten.

“Shallow” is the name of the pose and maybe I’m not reading into the overall look of the pose but I don’t find anything shallow about it. To me it is just a couple sitting together with him gazing at her in a very sweet way (but that could just be the way I see it?) However, there may be a little disinterest on Brenna’s part maybe because chocolate and animals tend to overrule male attention but I still don’t feel that it is shallow but still a wonderful pose.

At this months round of The Men Jail, you can get this outfit by Gild called “Lazy Pants Combinaison” which is a complete mesh outfit of a sleeveless shirt with long rolled up pants that I purposely wore in Black and Pink to go with the Valentine’s Theme that it seems to be going on. Each pants color comes with a version with a black shirt or a white shirt giving you the option to choose what you like best.

I am a fan of this outfit because of the fact that it is loose fitting and not binding to the body; it adds to the overall look of comfort while still being very stylish. Gild is one of those brands that I seek out when they are at an event because I know that there will be several good options and the clothing is of high quality without making me have to decide between their item and another because usually I can get both.

For the second straight blog I’m wearing the “Troy Hair” from Modulus and I can hear some of my friends saying something about me actually wearing something twice in a row but I’m wearing the hair because I like it and in this look I kind of feel like I might be a Troy so it works out well. Also to be fair in the last photo I did it wasn’t easy at all to see the hair with the lighting and darkness of the pool so I wanted to give a better look (with a shot taken in daylight).

Considering that I did just blog this hair, I’m not going to list features because it’s already a part of the one before. Moving to those of you ladies that may browse this site for your guy or see something that Brenna might be wearing (like the romper and hair accessory she’s wearing in this post), you’ll know that Collabor88 or just C88 for most people (abbreviations are the thing these days). Also the valentine’s Pomeranian by Black Bantam is also at the event and I have a feeling that it is likely a top seller there as animal makers such as them and Jian create such realistic looking pet decor.

On that note, I’m going to wrap this up and get it sent out because I’m working with a deadline of sorts and I’d like not to go past it, however, before I do go I have to say that working with the Black Dragon viewer so far has been an experience but it’s been rather pleasant so far. I feel that it gives my photos a little extra from what I have noticed and others have also. I always want to make sure that my photos are reflective of what I see in my head and I believe that the more comfortable I get with Black Dragon, I can achieve that.

The weekend is about over now so it’s back to the grind but I wish everyone a productive and hopefully enjoyable week. I’ll be posting as much as I can if the spirit moves me and the creativity does as well. There are a few ideas I’d like to get out of my brain this week if possible before I end up forgetting them (would be a shame to waste something I feel is a good idea).

[#590] Falling Inside The Black

It’s not very often that I shoot photos that lack a background but I made an exception for the idea that became the idea for this blog. The concept has been swirling in my head for more than a year but I just didn’t have the right things to make it happen until the last week or two and I’ll break it down as I write this.

Before I get any further I want to talk about the song that became the soundtrack for this blog. “Falling Inside The Black” was the first song I remember hearing by the band Skillet and yes they have a funny name but the music they make easily could fuel the soundtracks of many people lives (mine included). The song was used in a video I had watched on YouTube and little did I know that it would spider through many things over the years.

Some time passed after I first heard it and then I started hanging out with Lucky (our friendship goes well beyond the virtual world) and we bonded over music as it is both a passion of ours and we happen to like most of the similar things. He reintroduced me into Skillet and I had remembered them from the video I had seen a while back and it was just meant to be that I started listening to them more and became a solid fan of theirs almost as if I had been right from the start.

I take a lot of care when I use their songs as a part of ideas for blogs because I want to get it right and not be a disservice of what their music means to me. To this day I have seen them about a half dozen times going to festivals with Lucky and even to other shows they have been a part of as it has become sort of a tradition for us.

Music has the power to do many things. It has the power to lift us when we are down, it also can heal wounds in our hearts and minds and it can also help us cement lifelong friendships and bonds. Skillet is one of those for me and as I said they may have a name that makes people scratch their head but when I introduce them to some of what I like about them it seems as if it catches on and increases the fanbase.

As much as I love the events and stores that I blog for, when I have downtime from both I like showcasing items that likely might not find their way onto the blog because they don’t fit with the items I have chosen. So with that in mind I’m going to start out with the body paint that suits this idea perfectly and is reminiscent to a certain anti-hero from the comics world.

MooLoo Body Art’s “Starry Eye Body Paint” reminds me of symbiosis and the way that I’m using it in this particular blog is to show how the darkness is beginning to take over and in time could possibly control everything that I do if I choose not to fight it. The way this paint is used in application is very clever and I think I am very fortunate to be a blogger for MooLoo Body Art and that this was created for me to stretch out my creative legs.

There is nothing more rewarding then when you miss an item at an event by a day and the store finally puts it out for sale. This is the case with the “Vulture Talons” from Contraption. I had seen them in a photo and had a major desire to own them but when I tried to go to the event (Equal10 in this case) it had already ended the previous day. Sometimes I’m not known for my patience and every few days I would check back with no sign of them in sight. It was then that I felt it was best to not do this to myself because it would just be a disappointment so I waited an even longer time before I went back and the next time I did they were finally there and I snatched them up fast and went to my platform to put them on.

Contraption makes really neat things and I have been a fan of theirs as far back as their first music machines at the Arcade so many years ago. They also make masks and other steampunk and gothic type products and these talons are one of them. The box contains these hand accessories that are fitted for the widely popular mesh bodies and also with a HUD to change different areas of the metal with an array of colors. I went with silver and black for this photo because it was meant to be in a dark setting as I played with darkness.

It adds to the appearance that I am giving in to the darkest reaches of my soul.

One of the things I like about the virtual world is that I can purchase and wear things that I may not wear in my real life for a multitude of reasons. Arm warmers are one such thing that I have never owned but at many times would have liked to own and the newly released ones by Gild at FaMESHed added something to this look as well in combination with the talons. Putting them on the same arm allowed me to keep my left arm bare and to be able to stay in the shadows as it is not in the forefront of the pose.

Black was the easiest choice for me (because I couldn’t see buying the fatpack and wearing the other colors) taking into consideration everything I was doing in this photo. For those of you that are interested they come fitted for Belleza (Jake) and both Signature bodies (Geralt+Gianni) mesh bodies; I of course am wearing Gianni and the fit is great. I recommend these for those who are just fashionisto’s or going to be doing weather related photos as they will add that extra something.

It’s that time for me so on that note I am going to turn over to the credits so you guys can go get some shopping in (for those of you who will be busy tomorrow for the big football game). This blog was a joy for me even with it being a bit on the darker side as it gave me the opportunity to try some things that I wanted to experiment with as far as lighting; it came out to my expectation which is any artists wish.

[#577] I’m A Slave 4 U

After seeing the first image it will tell you that I definitely have not done a lot of photos in this manner before (or ever) but I thought since I did once use a Miley Cyrus song for a blog post that I’d dig deep and throw one out by Britney. She used to go to college for a short time in my area before she truly hit it big (and before this song came out I’m almost certain). So I grabbed some of the most appropriate items from The Men Jail and got cracking.

Generally I don’t seem wear accessories like necklaces or bracelets much less collars (as I’m vaguely familiar to what it is they are all about) but I certainly got a crash course with the HK Design’s “Neon Collar”. The collar comes in a scripted and unscripted version but for those who you who are knowledgeable with the RLV system (which if I’m certain is a Firestorm Viewer feature) it will allow you to give someone you trust the ability to do all sorts of different things and from what I saw includes sitting you on furniture or to pose in predetermined poses. For those of you who are a bit skeptical of the RLV thing there is the regular version that is just an accessory piece.

Being that this is one of the few times (I may have worn similar items before but I don’t remember 100%) I think that stepping out of my zone for a photo session like this is definitely a lot different then my usual process. Perhaps I will venture into deeper waters but I’m taking small steps at a time because I think if I dive off the building too quickly it is going to backfire and I will not want to do things of this type again but only time will tell!

The last few rounds of TMJ have featured a backdrop Gacha by The Bearded Guy; last month I blogged one from their “Our Heroes” set that I really enjoyed so I made it a plan to do so again with one from the “Different Feelings” set, which I am using the RARE “Hope” backdrop. The neon rainbow triangle is really awesome under certain lighting so I’d definitely recommend playing this machine or for those who are ambitious enough can buy the entire set outright and save the frustration of trying to win the ones you want (as I’ve been in that position many times).

The thought I had going into this photo is that yes, I am a straight male, but with that in mind I am comfortable with being able to feature items that might be marketed towards the LGBTQIA+ community. I firmly stand by the LGBTQIA+ community and show my support when I can via blogs, as well as encouraging friends who sometimes deal with situations in their lives that negatively impact them. Just to be clear, I’m not making any kind of crazy statement, I’m just showing some love and blogging some fun items.

Concluding the items from The Men Jail for this post is the pose pack that I am using from LUSH Poses. “Gone” is a pose set that features a mix of standing, leaning and sitting poses which is just right for those who may have some indecisive tendencies (such as myself). I determined that the best course of action to take with my photo is to lean slightly against the wall and let the glow of the neon bathe me for a cool effect.

This pose set has 7 different poses to choose from with an option of static poses (to be used in a personal pose stand), posesballs, and a pose stand that allows for its user to cycle through each pose. Mirror versions of all 7 poses are included as well so that a photo can be taken from the subjects best side. I haven’t had much interaction with Lush poses but I being a fan of poses (it is pretty obvious by now) that I will keep an eye on this store as well for the future.

The Epiphany is once again open for it’s first round of the year and the hair I am wearing is from Tableau Vivant as part of the “Bad Girls + Boys” set. I like the fact that they did something for both the men and women in this set (though to be fair the hair that I have on is unisex and the other hairstyles are for the ladies). At first I was unclear of which was which but I figured things out pretty quickly and also noticed that there are three different hairbase versions you can play for as well.

I kept to my usual hairbase as my photo wasn’t really focusing on the hair as it is an added bonus to the items I’m blogging from TMJ. Those who are fans of Tableau Vivant they should give this set a try and they may get lucky as one of the RARE packs came to me pretty quickly and I gladly passed it on to Brenna to wear as it wouldn’t do me any real good (and would look better on her).

There were a few other fun machines I played at the event like the CUREMORE “AsylumVillains” set (yes it is for women but I have a wife who will wear something if I asked or also the female version of me which I shall now refer by going forward as Lilith. I also have some fun items from the new Gabriel set (which is always a must for me as I’ve been a big fan of theirs over the years).

On that note it is time for me to get this here entry published and then start work on writing the next blog which I have already taken the photos for but have yet to see if they need any minor touches; I can say this: it’s something that I’ve never tried before and will certainly be different to the eyes of those who have visited this site often over time.

This month seems to be flying by so fast and I realize that if I blink again it’ll be over and I still have a few commitments to make to the brands I blog for. Getting my rear in gear as they say I spent most of this afternoon messing with lighting and several different angles before I finally came up with something that felt close to what I saw in my head.

Speaking of commitments I am proud to announce my new partnership with MooLoo Body Arts! I had a conversation with Mikey after I did my post for Then Men Jail using their tattoo and he liked it so much he offered me a spot on their team and I really like tattoos but had not really taken advantage of it much and thought there was no better time then now so I thank you for giving me this opportunity and I hope that I can do you and the brand proud!

The Men Jail is featured in this post as well and is represented by the “Wool 3/4 Length Pants” by Gild. It might not necessarily be the right time of year in the real world to wear pants like this but I am indoors and virtually I don’t have to deal with climate or weather unless I choose to (which is the best part about it). These pants have four different color choices and one patterned pair which I couldn’t resist for this photo.

Flowers may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I like how they look and the pattern is fantastic.

It would be foolish not to announce having a new brand partner and not feature one of their products out of the gate which brings the “Loser” Tattoo into focus. With plenty to do this week and the Thanksgiving holiday approaching in the next few days which will include some insane shopping deals that I will likely have a hard time passing up virtually (I don’t generally deal with the madness in the real world because it is much too frustrating). The pose that I am using (X.T.C.’s KJ Bento Pose Set) is a part of an early celebration called “Black Friday Bazaar” and started on the 17th and lasts until the 27th. This set was one that I know there are more than one pose that I’ll be using for photos in the future.

There are many great items available besides poses as there are things that deal with Christmas as well for anyone into decorating their living spaces.

Now with all the important information out there, I think it’s time to put this entry to bed (as is sometimes said in literary circles) and get to the next photo full of new (and possibly old items) for the world to see. September is about to give way to October and I thought that I would get a head start on my October festivities and take some items that I’ve gathered up; as I was putting my idea together I realized that I really didn’t have a song to use as a soundtrack to back it up. It wasn’t difficult as I came up with it quite quickly and went to an old classic that I knew I had never used before on the blog (as I have a longstanding unspoken rule not to repeat a song I’ve used even if I’ve become better as an artist since I first used it).

Enter Sandman is an essential song in the Metallica catalogue and the self titled album (or also known as The Black Album) came out at a time when I was really starting to get really involved in enjoying music and realizing how it connects us to all the parts of our life in different phases: good, bad or ugly). The backdrop I am using from Saintstreet is called “Dreams” so I thought I would play upon that with a more of a nightmarish feel. The look I put together is something I’d consider not to want to come across in any type of situation.

The Men Jail’s September round is just about to end in a few days so I wanted to get at least one more item in before they lock up to restock for October. For this post I have the “Frank HB + Harness” by i.mesh and I’m not into the bondage scene but felt adding this to my look would be freaky, would you agree? So the harness also comes with a shaved hairbase that stands out with what appears to be scarring.

I feel like this could be used several different ways (not only just for people that are into fetishes) and this is what I can tell you about the product to help you find out if it is right for you.

When it comes to gacha events most people know the usual. There’s the crown jewel in the Arcade which has been going strong for 6 years and then there is The Epiphany which has been around for a couple as well and most recently I’ve become slightly acquainted with Lootbox. I’m still learning about the event so the next time I blog something from the event I’ll have more info about it.

ANTINATURAL has a set at the event called “Mad Malice” which is loosely based upon Alice In Wonderland with a very amped up gore factor. The “Unlost Arms” that I am featuring from the “NIGHTMARE” RARE pack are very creepy claw handed decaying arms. I thought the arms were perfect for the idea that I was building and managed to get a hold of this this via resale. It’s not only great that you get these creepy arms but it also comes with a prop and a skybox which makes it a super value if you can get it for pull price.

There is also a DAYDREAM RARE which you can take both of the skybox items and use them to create a “through the looking glass” type effect which I have not seen pictures of yet but I bet it is very cool. Products like this are what make being able to have the Halloween spirit all year round possible and that will get a thumbs up from me every time.

On October 1st the fun begins when the Pose Fair returns for it’s final round of the year and I’m getting a head start with a pose set from HotDog. This store has been on my radar for a bit as I’ve been to their store location (which they share with another unique store, Clemm). I hadn’t quite picked up any poses from the store because I didn’t have any ideas for them yet but I know when I do I’ll be back to stock up. Not only do they make poses but they also make other interesting items such as gothic attire and insane looking mesh heads.

The “Conceited” set fit perfectly with the overall theme of this blog and it also helped me get a head start on Pose Fair which I can tell you is going to be great. There is an even bigger variety of pose creators at this round as the event organizers have increased the size of the land for the event. I assure you that there are going to be a lot of goodies for the lover of poses and those photographers out there. When this event opens on the 1st you are going to want to get in on the action.

It took me a lot longer to write this than I anticipated but I wanted to make sure the information was as accurate as possible and it just so happens that the Baseball season is getting close to it’s regular season conclusion and the pennant races are very interesting and have me enthralled so I’ve also been keeping my head in that as well.

I have another post in the works that could possible see light of day tomorrow depending on if things come together the way I’d like them to. Looking for a location at the moment and I think I’m going to revisit New Amsterdam (providing that it is still active and I hope it is). Sometimes digging into the quirky bag can be fun when you pull things together to poke fun at yourself or show that you might have a bit of a sense of humor. Now I’m not sure how this is going to translate or if anyone is going to find it cute, funny or even maybe a bit goofy but that was the aim I was going for when I decided to find some unique items for this blog entry.

I never really took Right Said Fred as a serious musical act and honestly I don’t remember anything else that they did other than “I’m Too Sexy” and that may be why they always seem to find themselves on those notorious “one hit wonder” lists that pop up from time to time. The song itself I think was not meant to be serious either and it fit perfectly with me trying my hand at pretending to be a model (and maybe I fail miserably but I got a kick out of the whole process).

There are several items from the Equal10 event in this post which is a testament to just how good I feel the event is when more than one thing I feature comes from it. The same is said for The Men Jail and I am not saying this because they are an event that I blog for as there are quite a few things each round that I put into my photos because they are something I want to share with my audience.

Starting out with the “Fashion Storefront” backdrop from Paparazzi, this was a catalyst for the entire idea coming together. It also represents something I enjoy doing which is shopping and made lots of sense for me to pose myself in front of it with great lighting and snazzy clothing. I don’t want to go overboard with my praise for the brand so I’ll keep it to a minimum but I have been using a lot of backdrops in my photos because they have given me creative thoughts for how to implement them and Paparazzi creates a lot of things that make it easy to do so.

Affordable, well constructed and appearing at many of mine (and likely many others) favorite events, Paparazzi is a sure bet for backdrop and photography needs.

Staying with Equal 10, I am wearing the “Loose Flow Pants” by Gild. I really like the little ink splatter design on these pants and it is designs like this that often catch my eye and will be something I feature from time to time. The loose belt is also an added touch to the overall design of the pants which give it more of a model/runway look that I felt would work best with my look including the top that I’ll get to in a moment.

I chose the pink version of these pants because not only did it go with the backdrop but also because soon it will be October and also Breast Cancer Awareness month. I’ve known plenty of people in both my real and virtual lives that have suffered, survived as well as won and lost their battle and showing some support even before the month begins was a good idea to me.

Matching the pants was easy because I’m also wearing another new release by Gild which is the “Triangle Jungle Pullover” that is a part of the latest round of The Men Jail. I cannot say whether it is intended or not but this top does go very well with the pants and it could be considered a full outfit that is sold separate at two events (it has been done before). They have similar strap features in the design so I am definitely willing to say that they are meant to be part of a complete outfit.

Usually my midsection is covered unless I’m doing a beach shot and do not have a shirt on but I really liked how this top looked and thought in the vein of wearing something that I might not on a consistent basis, trying new things can certainly pay off for different looks and vibes. I certainly have enjoyed throwing this outfit together because it’s not something I am accustomed to.

My hair is also from The Men Jail event and it is also one of those styles that I might not normally consider wearing but because it’s super wild looking and fits my runway model look I stayed true to the overall theme as well and chose the pink color from the Fantasy HUD. It’s becoming more frequent that men no matter what their preferences are have started to use pink which many years prior was thought of as an only girls color. I am comfortable with using any color that helps me get my visual across and looks good to me.

This style of hair, the wisps of longer tresses flowing from the back on one side to the top and going forward surrounded by shorter cropped hair (which I chose not to have my base hair be pink as well because I thought it might be too distracting.) It has that 80’s feel to it much like the scene itself does which worked out for the complete visual plan.

It’s about time for me to wrap this blog post up so I can work on getting back on a regular schedule as well as keep my creativeness from getting blocked again (which has really been one of the hardest things to deal with in recent weeks.) Finding a good spot to set up a scene/photograph for a blogger is one of the most important things for the style of blogger that I feel that I am. Many bloggers tend to use green screen along with backgrounds they create themselves or find a royalty free photo. The way I prefer to do things is finding a location in-world that fits my mood or if nothing seems to fit then I look for the right backdrop but they have to fit or it tends to be a long day or evening depending on when my setup begins.

My friend, Yosh Shi (Merlin on Facebook) owns and runs not only a great retreat area but also have just started a new nightclub project. He was kind enough to let me poke around during non operating hours to see if something would click for me. The atmosphere is best described at least in my mind as a mixture of steampunk and gothic elements. It truly felt inviting to me as I arrived at the landing point which is a long dock that leads to the club. I changed my lighting to what the sim calls for and it is overcast to match the rain that surrounds you.

I don’t want to spoil the experience for you if you do happen to visit so I shall abstain from giving you any further details about the layout but I will say that after looking around the setting by the fireplace caught my attention and the work was about to begin.

The Men Jail is about to wrap up for the August round but I wanted to get one more product in that I thought was rather cool. For the event, Gild released a tanktop with circular cuts in its design which I think is perfect for the the rave/club scene. Posh (which is the name of the club where my photos were taken) tend to have a lot of rave type parties which as of yet I have unfortunately been able to attend due to the time of day they normally occur but I will make it to one of them soon.

Those who are looking for something unique in men’s clothing then I’d certainly give this a closer look.

The Man Cave is in it’s second week and Modulus has a new hair which I am wearing for this photo. “Marcus” is a a near mid length hair that is combed to the side and the reason I liked it for this particular look is that it didn’t cover my eyes or any of the other facial things that I wanted to feature in the blog (which I will get to shortly). All the things that fans of Modulus come to expect are all here with an added surprise that I was not anticipating when I opened up the package.

For the first time (at least to my knowledge) there are combed versions for both sides of the head so that way if you have a personal preference you can choice without being conflicted. I love this and I hope they continue to do this for future releases even though it could potentially be a lot more work; I don’t know how mesh things are made. For the first time I also used the blond pack with the integrated color picker and I really love how it turned out.

With that said though I do hope they continue to bring things like this to the table to even further cement their brand as a top hair brand.

Go&See recently released an add-on at the Blush event but before I could finish my editing and write this blog it sadly ended but the great part is that it will become a release to the store (and or marketplace). The “wasted” eyebags are meant to display a hard night of partying but for those of you who do not have the type of lifestyle (and I’m one of them usually) they could also be used to show how someone is burning the candle at both ends. I think in the case of me being in a club that it fits more of the partying context.

Outside of skins and eyes, Go&See provides add-ons like the eyebags as well as make-ups and lashes. These kinds of products help add to the realism of not only of our photos but also our avatars as well and I’d like to see more interesting things like this in future releases.

In less than a week, America will be celebrating Independence Day and there will be celebrations and fireworks all over but today myself and this blog are celebrating something else entirely. The milestone 500th entry on these pages has finally been set and there were many times that I never thought that I could make it this far and that I would run out of ideas or I would never improve but through perseverance combined with determination and hard work here I am.

Blogging as many of my colleagues can tell you can be a lot of work and tons of effort to get the right style, angle, windlight setting and combine it sometimes with a few light touch ups in their favorite photo manipulation software to bring what you see on website blogs and also Flickr itself. It can prove to be exhausting at times as well but when you finally see the results of your work live and see it receive any kind of positive reception no matter how big or small it is, the feeling of accomplishment washes away any of the doubt you might have had during the process.

For me blogging is a lot like therapy (I’ve referred to it as cheap therapy at times) because it sometimes help deal with issues I’ve personally experienced or the hurt of someone close to me when they’ve needed my shoulder. To be able to come up with scenes to create visual digital art can be difficult as well or might come easy to you depending on the situation; it also can help bring a little light into what seem like dark times and struggles.

Before I get on with the technical stuff I want to thank a lot of people and I’m pretty sure that they all know who they are so I don’t have to single them out. They are the ones that have supported me through the beginning stages of this blog when my skills were not nearly what they are today or what they can be tomorrow. Also those who have come along the way to give input and lend support during the course of this 4 year journey that will continue on until I see it no longer viable. Friends and family have also made this easier with their support and encouraging me to never give up on something I love so dearly.

To the brands and events past and present that have given me the opportunity to showcase their items when others wouldn’t even look at me sideways, I thank you for the opportunity because it’s your products that fuel my passion to create and make the best digital photos in a virtual world. Our loyalty to one another is something that I will never forget.

Lastly to anyone who has ever viewed this site whether it be on purpose or by accident but took away something when they closed it out, I appreciate you as well because knowing that what I do has been viewed and occasionally commented on shows that besides the love I have for it, it not all for nothing. Keep coming back and I will do my best to help you find great clothing, accessories, poses, and now and again furniture.

This dream is very much alive for me and has plenty of fuel to burn for a long time to come.

Go&See is a brand that I find has a wide variety of unique products from skins to makeup and also eyes which is what I’ve got here in this post for you to see. “Equa” is the very most recent release by the brand that I find to be very cool. Now I hope that I’ve done them justice in the close up photo that I took because one of my weaknesses that I feel like I need to work on is getting better close up shots to get a good view of the eyes. I recommend them for those of you that like to do horror or sci-fi role-playing. You could just as well wear them for normal every day if you want as well and you would certainly stand out in the crowd.

Rarely do I ever venture away from Modulus when it comes to wearing hair but for this photo I had to deviate from my norm because I just didn’t have the right feeling. I came across the latest hair from Vango named “Aaron” and it is a long style that reminds me of one my favorite actors, Brandon Lee, who was only around for a short time. This hair spoke to me (not literally of course) and was instantly a part of my vision for this look and I knew it might be a style that I would go back to when it suited my needs for a long hairstyle of that sort.
