Don’t adjust your screens! What you are seeing is something that would be considered by me as taking a risk for the simple reason is that These Conversations Kill is a male fashion blog and while that is true, I’ve given some thought to some things and this is what I’ve come up with.

There are so many times in the past that I’ve taken the safe path because I thought that was what worked for me but now that I am starting to look at a bigger picture with the help of being included into this years Pose Fair (and the predominantly female presence of products) that I can step out of my comfort zone and give a spotlight to something different.

Fueled by the inspiration from LV Designs and their cost alternative bento mesh head, I dusted off the Brembot (a play on my name and fembot, which is a reference to Austin Powers) so that I could see what kind of creativity I could perform when I wasn’t the premier focus. Yes, I am still a part of the scene but in a very minute (and not functioning way).

You might be wondering a little bit more about the LV Designs bento head. Her name is Chloe and she’s a lower cost alternative to people who may not have the ability to own other brands. The head is bare bones with basics of a few lipstick choices but it is omega applier compliant so you can choose to wear the provided skin or try out something different by demoing skins that are omega compatible. The body skin is sold separately and is made by Colvati and matches Tone 3 if you choose to go the path that designer, Lee Quirina intended.

Chloe was not the only thing that inspired me to ultimately step out of my comfort zone. Talks with several friends and also contemporaries have more than once said that going outside the box (which I have before but not to this scale) is not a bad thing. I think I’m finally realizing a much bigger picture as well and I it’s caused me to do a double take (literally and a good segue).

Double Take poses released two different exclusive pose sets for the April round of Pose Fair 2018, the one that Brembot is using is the “Universal” set; it has 5 different static bento poses that are of the highest quality. The reason I chose this set is that one of the poses best fit the idea I was going for in this scene which I would liken to that of a female assassin making her way through a mission.

I may still be working on perfecting my close-up shots, I feel like I did a little bit better with this go round. New things are always a work in progress and as I continue to try new things they may not be 100% great but that is what putting the work in to make them the best you think they can be.

Brembot’s outfit consists of items from the Gabriel “Armed Style” gacha which I believe first made it’s appearance at Shiny Shabby a few months ago but is now playable at the main store. I had come up with several other ideas for this outfit (along with the male one) but plans can change and I came up with a better visual to use it individually. Definitely a creative and great set for those of you gals who are interested in being a soldier (possibly in an RP setting) and want clothing that is not only made well but has great texturing.

Paparazzi is one of my top few brands when it comes to scene building and backdrops. I really loved the way that their “The Underpass” backdrop helped set the scene and the story of what I was trying to create. There were probably a few different ways I could have gone about it but in the long run this definitely worked out well.

Once again it is time to lead you to the credits (although there is not much in the way of them but that is okay). I truly enjoyed putting on a different hat of sorts and look forward to what I can accomplish in the future. I’ll be back again soon with more from Pose Fair, and possibly even FaMESHed and the freshly stocked April round of The Men’s Department.

One of the hardest things sometimes is after you’ve got all of your wardrobe put together and are committed to doing a photo shoot, you cannot find a suitable backdrop or location to get the job done. Thankfully after I put my look together I was wandering around with my Parents to different sales across the grid when I landed at the Fairmage sim, which is home to Dark Magic Poses.

It has a really nicely built town setting so I did a little walk through and found a spot that I liked and started to go to work. The pictures themselves turned out well and did a bit of touching up to certain things (but not too much of course). The next step would be to come up with a soundtrack as I didn’t really have any favorites that stuck out in my mind at the time (which is not usual at this stage of a blog shoot).

Music is something I consider to be central to this blog and as I was trying to figure out my identity as a blogger and what I wanted to do, I re-branded the blog after the first year of being active (nearly going on 4 very soon). I chose lyrics to a song that is personally a part of me to be the title of the blog. So naturally through the process of blogging (shooting and editing) I’m always listening to music because to me it is not a distraction; it often helps me in the creative process.

I have playlists at random and a song came on that to me can be thought provoking. Usually I have a limit to how long between blog posts I will use a certain artist and I knew that I had featured a song by the band, Like A Storm towards the beginning of the year. I feel like enough time has passed between that post and this one to be able to use another song.

For me personally I feel like a majority of people want to change something (whether it be the entire world, or a person that might be troubled). In order to really do that I believe it all starts with yourself and it doesn’t have to be a major change. Even the littlest thing can make a difference for you and the cause and effect will trickle and reach others. It is something that anyone who might be reading can think about and apply. It doesn’t cost money and if the change is positive it won’t hurt anyone.

Winter on the grid is slowly starting to fade as many locations are starting to do their spring prep (which is something I’m happy about) but there is still a bit of cold and snowy going on at Fairmage so it worked out well that my outfit is comprised of outdoor apparel. I really loved how this outfit came together and it’s a bit dressy but I often don’t wear stuff that makes me look sophisticated (shirts and jeans usually fill my closet).

Native Urban came out with this really awesome coat/sweater combination that originally was released at the Cosmopolitan event (unfortunately it ended on the 24th just before I could publish this). I purchased the AC (All Colors or FATPACK as it were) and am really happy about the choice that comes with it. 7 different color fabrics for the coat to choose from and 11 different sweater options (as well as the ability to show or hide the sweater). You can also change the buttons (3 options of those to pick from) and I’m wearing it for the Belleza body but also offered in the package are sizes for Signature (Gianni) and SLink.

Gloves are something that are hit and miss now with mesh bodies and you have to really be careful to make sure they fit right. Gabriel has a set of fingerless gloves which debuted at last month’s Uber event which again I was unable to get this look together before the next round. That is why it’s great that these brands bring their event items into the store afterwards for the shoppers that missed the event for whatever reason. The gloves come in three colors (Black, Dark Gray and Gray) and fit the Belleza and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies.

I’ve noticed lately that I have been picking up a lot of the newest releases from the [Gild] brand. I don’t really have a specific reason for it other than I think that the quality of the products are what catches my eye and the style fits the kind of things I like to wear. The “Standard Fit Pants” were a part of the Hipster Men’s Event from January and have a really good look when combined with the Native Urban coat and the A&D “Firenze” dress shoes that I am wearing. The pants come in Black, Blue, Gray, Green, Pink and Yellow which can be purchased separately as well as in a FATPACK and have sizing for Belleza, Signature (Gianni) and SLink male bodies. Personally these pants work really well for any dress up situation and even some casual wear occasions as well.

The Men’s Jail round for January is soon coming to a close but before it does I think you need to run (not walk) to the event to take a look at the “Brody” hair from Modulus. I’m not sure who Chucky Hollak patterned this one after (possibly Adrien Brody) but I’m usually pretty good with figuring out what this hair mastermind patterns his creations after.

25 colors in all (spread out into 5 different color packs) that can be purchased individually or via FATPACK for a better bargain if you tend to wear more than one color hair type. This hair is a shorter left side swept hair with closely cropped back and sides and looks its best when paired with the Jai hairbase which is also from the Modulus brand and can be found in their store!

The pose you see in the very first photo is from the “Boss” pose set from Go&See, there are 4 different pose types (and you also get in the package two different priority types for whatever your needs are. They are available right now at the Go& See store along with other pose sets, AO Animations, Eyes, and also Skins which is what the brand began with before branching out.

When I started putting this visual together my original vision was different.

My first thoughts were to go with a gory visual but as I kept thinking about it I wanted to make it more about the mental aspect of the scene. You can add blood to anything and just leave it at that but I wanted a little more that would be more about the logical aspect. There are some elements based off the book/film “The Shining” as the backdrop that I am using is based off of it as well.

With my look I wanted to give the feeling as if the person in question had not shaven or cut their hair as well as suffer from insomnia and or paranoia; this person has completely shut themselves off from the world. Putting this together was a lot of fun even if my vision changed a little once I started to put all the pieces together; I think that what I did finish off with came out better in the long run.

I feel that my song choice also fit perfectly and allowed me to dig into a rarity by Pearl Jam that not many knew about before their “Lost Dogs” unreleased tracks album came out. I first encountered this song when I purchased a cd single of “Jeremy” (this is when that was a big thing to do to get songs not put on albums). Listening to it carefully it gives me the feeling that it is about someone who is suffering from some kind of depression or mental illness; it could even be dealing with the loss of someone and the aftermath of it.

Lately I can not say enough about the new hairs being released by Modulus. The brand may be a partner of this blog but as a reviewer of items I have a duty to be honest with the products I feature on this site. I’m not here to blow smoke up anyone’s rear end or praise someone because I know them or are friends with them. I genuinely love this brand and have from it’s beginnings as a skin store by the name of Fruk. Fast Forward to present day and the hairs that are part of the Alpha series, they are not only styled well but have great textures and design.

Many brands are fighting for your money which obviously you know. I do have access to Modulus and the brands creator, Chucky Hollak, and I can tell you that I have never met anyone so dedicated to making products that you will enjoy and use over and over. If it isn’t up to his strict specifications then it doesn’t see the light of day and that tells me something.

This brand does not phone it in.

Lately I have had some fruitful shopping trips, one of which was to the recently opened Man Cave. After two trips leaving with things I feel like I could even go back again for more but I have to keep in mind that Men Only Monthly just started as well as Hipster Men’s Event which is coming up this Tuesday. Times like this with so many things I feel that I can use in my photos it makes budgeting a pain in the backside.

My love of shopping is not a very good thing for my wallet.

Time for me to finish up here and get to those credits and my opinions on the items I have not previously blogged before and work on what is to come.

For the second straight month in a row, The Men’s Jail has been fortunate to have Modulus release a new hair at their event and I have it on good authority that the “Adam” hair has been styled after the man behind the character Kylo Ren, Adam Driver. Mid length to longer styles are always catching my eye because it allows me to have the kind of hair that I do not have in the real world. Beards are something I like quite a bit and in varying styles depending on my mood. This beard is a bit thicker than a lot of the other styles I have worn (though I have been known to sport some really heavy beards). There are several versions included in this pack and have HUDs for both CATWA and Omega. One of the styles allows for you to have a salt and pepper style beard if you want to look a little more seasoned as some do here on the grid.

When I first saw this product I had to have it and I could not just purchase one and went with the FATPACK. The best part about doing that is that there are extras included that you cannot get if you buy separately.

I am wearing the blue flannel with white shirt combo even though I love the pack has plaid flannel in it as well. There is HUD for both the flannel and also the inside shirt (which would also be in single packs). If want to wear the flannel open without the shirt there is a toggle in the HUD where you can remove it or add it back on whenever you want.

Wallet chains may not be the in thing as much these days as they have in the past but it’s a feature I love seeing in jeans which is why this product was a must have. Gabriel makes not only quality products but makes them super affordable even for their FATPACKS which I splurged on with this as well and as I said, I did do a bit of damage at Man Cave as you are now discovering. There are three colors of denim (dark, light and black) with the wallet chain as an attachment.

Even if the wallet chain is not your cup of tea, you can always get these jeans and not wear it because they are still great with or without the addition; if you decide not to jump on these you may just regret it at some point and that’s just my opinion.

There’s definitely more than one reason for the Man Cave event’s name. Not only is it making a reference to being a male only event as well a room in a house where males hole themselves up in on the weekends or during possible sporting events. Personally I think it also refers to one’s ability to not pass up a great item and they “cave” under the pressure to buy things like FATPACKs. EQUAL is a newer brand out on the scene but having come across their brand in several events in the last few months I am becoming a fan with the quality and styles they are releasing.

The style of these shoes really caught my eye and there were so many great colors that when I priced the ones I wanted and looked at what it would be for them all it was a no brainer. The HUD that is included with the FATPACK allows you to customize sections of the shoe with all the available colors in the pack and there are a total of 10.

Inspired by the hotel featured in “The Shining” I have seen some really cool movie scene recreations and I wanted to do something just a little different from all that I have seen and I feel I hit the nail on it. The build is put together very well and photographs great as I tested several different windlights while I was trying to find the right mood for the session (which I used two different ones). When it comes to building backdrops, Bad Unicorn is one of the tops in that genre and I always look forward to seeing their work at events and new store releases.

With this scene I brought together some things to add a little culture to the entries of These Conversations Kill. After having visited the Matsuri event, it inspired me to put together this look with the things I brought home and some that I already had lurking in my virtual closet.

For those of you who might not be familiar with the Matsuri event, it is an event full of asian centric items including furniture, clothing, poses, and photography aids such as backdrops.

Aside from the event area there is a nice little town to explore as well to further give you an experience. Many of the vendors in the shopping area have a HUD that you can used to collect “stamps” by teleporting to the participating storefronts and after you’ve collected 15 stamps you can return to the event and trade them in for a prize of your choice from one of several designers.

This is one of four different stylized backdrops that can be played for in the gacha machine at Matsuri. What’s best about this is that you can take the item from the machine to the main location and trade it in for a copy-able version that you won’t have to worry about it being eaten or accidentally deleted and gone for good.

Hello once again! I’m glad to have any recurring readers and those who are new to the site, I welcome you to a place were fashion and visual art collide in a virtual world. It’s been a few days again since my last entry but it seems that the outside world has been needing my attention. I wanted to quick say that the people affected by the recent Hurricanes (Harvey and Irma) are in my thoughts. It’s also been the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. So many things going on for so many people.

I threw some things together from my time spent at The Men’s Department which is at the mid point of the current round as well as Men’s Only Monthly that concludes its current cycle on the 15th, which means it would be the best time to take a shopping break after you take a look at what I have put together.

As I was looking around in my various resources of finding new locations to explore and take photos in, I came across Ash Falls. Upon landing there it didn’t take me long to find a spot almost right inside the landing point which means I’m going to have to return there again to look around more for spots that I can set up another scene.

At times I find it difficult to add things when it comes to these posts but I try to give the best insight I can. I hope that those of you out there that are readers find something useful here even if it is just one thing. The most recent release in the CdP skin line, Elias comes in 4 different tones (1-4) and while normally I go with T2 I felt like taking a leap and going a tone lighter just to see what it would look like and I’m not really disappointed. I’m not much for the more tan tones because I’m just not a sun worshipper or spend lots of time outside so it would be odd to have a tan for me. It’s not often that I wear camo themed items in photos but it seemed to work out for the outfit I was putting together. This jacket is pretty solid and finding things that fit the Belleza body is a great thing (and it is also become more of a regular occurence). The base of the jacket is regular standard jacket material but the sleeves appear to be leather based which makes this jacket even cooler. It comes with a HUD to change the built in shirt so that you can mix it up a little bit. Sizes also included here are NX-Nardcotix, Signature, SLink Physique, Standard Fitmesh, and also TMP.

When I first came across these I thought they were jeans but as I closely inspected them I found that they were as the item describes, cotton stripe pants. They come available in Black, Blue (which is shown) as well as White and you can purchase them separately or together for a bargain price. I like the fit of these jeans on the Belleza body and am happy that Gabriel is now including them in their products as I’m very much a fan. Included are sizes for Signature and TMP. Sadly there is not one for SLink included in these which may disappoint those who have the Physique body and like Gabriel products.

Sneakers…what can I say? I love sneakers and have a hard time saying no whenever I see a nice pair at an event. Men Only Monthly had several pairs that I enabled myself to pick up and these bad boys rock. I purchased the full pack and was treated to a HUD that I could change different parts of the sneaker with many different color swatches. Customization is a plus for me as I like to have control over what colors I am wearing if at all possible. While I am not largely familiar with this brand, I feel that with the quality of these sneakers I would encourage you all (as well as myself) to give them a deeper look. For you mesh body wearers it comes with sizes for Adam, Belleza, Signature, and SLink.

Animosity – Stephan (04) @ M.O.M ♯ NEW

Poses are what bring our creations more depth and life and I know that I have said on more than one occasion (I repeat myself far often than I would like to admit) that I always like taking a look at new pose makers in the world. Animosity is a fairly new brand and is partnered up with Imitation (a newer brand as well). This is one of two pose packs that have been released at Men Only Monthly. I like the style that this brand has to offer and seems that they also are making poses that are not as familiar as you sometimes do so out there. I realize that you can only move an avatar so many different ways but it is always refreshing to see something outside of that and I believe this brand has a great start.

Some time has passed and I’ve had time to process some things but first and foremost I wanted to pay tribute to a musician that has had an impact not only on myself but on countless others. Regardless of whether you like the music of Linkin Park it’s hard to deny that they hold a place in the annals of music legend. Creatively written lyrics and a combination of soft vocals and raw guttural screams they came a long way from the beginning of the rap/rock scene.

When the news broke that Chester had passed a large range of emotions had filled my head. It just seemed like so many people that I admired from a music fan standpoint were suddenly just disappearing. Unfortunately I won’t ever be able to see the band in concert but I will still have the music that was created at my disposal to listen to and remember fondly. My heart truly goes out to his family, friends, and bandmates. The world is missing one light that seemed to flicker bright even when shrouded in so much darkness.

There were a few songs I could have used for the theme of this photo shoot but I think what I chose as the final is the best to represent how I feel and many others as well. If you find yourself needing to talk to someone because you are having a tough time do not be afraid, there is always someone out there with an ear to lend even if you do not think they do. Full credits are below so I will let you dig into those but I also have to say that I did edit one of the record sleeves on the pose prop just in case you like it enough to buy it and see that it is not as it appears here. The update adds a hoodie you can wear with the jacket which I feel was a nice added touch. There are no specific sizes for mesh bodies on this but should work with just about all of them with the use of alpha cuts.

Due to some of the issues I had lately it took me longer to get these put into a look. ROMP is in its last day of being open for this round but there is still time to run out and get these pants. There are lots of features to this as well as denim and leather textures to give you multiple looks. Sizes included for these pants include Belleza, Signature, SLink, and TMP male bodies. The FATPACK has a HUD with 3 extra textures as well as a color picker so that you can create your own flavor to the pants.

Some time has passed since FLite has come out with a new release but at the n21 event they have come back with a vengeance. The NoMads sneakers are really cool. Reasonably priced and you get all the styles available in the HUD that is included. You really can’t beat it for a pair of shoes from my personal top 5 favorite shoe creators. Sizes included are (there are also sizes for women but as this is a male blog I’m only going to list the ones for the fellas) Belleza Jake and SLink male bodies.

Being that I am an audiophile (a lover of music) this pose/prop really caught my attention. It was originally at the Cosmopolitan event but I had purchased it just before the round it was in closed as I had almost forgotten that it was featured there. There are poses inside the prop for the gals as well as unisex poses and each of them are adjustable so you can get the best angle/look that fits you. This was one of the defining parts of this entry as it gelled with the emotion that I was going for.

I‘ve returned after drawing some inspiration from the olden days of music but adding a little bit of TCK twist to it to make it work. I’ve always been fascinated by the music of The Talking Heads from back when I was younger and still kind of finding my way through what I liked music wise. I think it is because of artists like this I have found an appreciation for many different kinds of music.

Artistically I like to create images that may seem different or odd to some but are perfectly normal to me. That’s the beauty of art, you don’t really have to like it if you don’t want to because at some point there will be someone that will and I am quite alright with that. I know I enjoy it at least so it starts from there.

I managed to find a really great background prop to use for this photo session that made the idea that I had in my head a little easier. At first I was not sure how I was going to pull it off or if I was going to try and use post production but I found an item that fit perfectly.

Stealthic has been around for a short time as a part of the virtual hair creating scene. What I like best about this brand (which many brands are starting to do as well) is offer a styling HUD so that you can have a variation of it that may sway to either the right or the left of maybe even have it a little more fly-away. It’s just one of the things I consider a value when making a purchasing decision and a feature that I think is being more sought after. With 6 different color packs to choose from (a FATPACK is also available) there’s no reason not to check out this hair.

When browsing through TMD and seeing a lot of the usual suspects that I have come to know, love, and admire, I came across a new skin by a brand that I had never previously heard of before. Amias really did a good job with the “KIAN” skin (which comes in a choice of 3 tones). Also available at their booth are the body appliers (which you can get for Belleza, Signature, and SLink bodies). This Catwa applier has several options to choose from (no brows to several colored brows as well as clean shaven to two different lengths of stubble). I am very impressed with this product and would recommend it for anyone looking to give something new a try.

Some time has passed since I purchased a product from Ascend and while I was strolling through FaMESHed I came across their latest release (a jacket/shirt combination) the “Marc” Jacket. Sold individually or as a FATPACK, these jackets have a color change HUD included for the shirt to give you several options to fit your style. I purchased the Plain version, but there are also three other versions available (Denim, Pinstriped and Tweed).

One thing I never anticipated was actually being able to find a house that was actually on fire. With some scouring over the marketplace I was able to find this build which worked perfectly as a back setting in which my theme was based off of. It also gives off that kind of eerie vibe to it as well if you are able to look close enough.

After taking a small breather from shopping, I managed to come up with scene that features items from the Man Cave Event as well as Men Only Monthly. I found everything I needed at those two places to come up with an idea to set to the song “Seein’ Red” by Unwritten Law.

I also have an item from this past weeks Fifty Linden Friday, the “Renegade” hair from Lock & Tuft. It seems lately there is a trend of sweeping mid-length hair hanging off to one side of the head or another and Lock & Tuft have managed to capitalize on it. Of course with it being a bargain it caught my attention but I think even at a regular price it’s worth giving some attention to.

The “Ocean Eyes” by GO&SEE are something to behold. The variations of blue and green hues in the 10 colors offered really do depict the differnt types of water you might find in a large body such as an ocean. For those of you with Catwa eyes this truly is a must. Gazing into these could be very dangerous if not mesmerizing. You can find these right now at Men Only Monthly until the 15th of July.

Gabriel is offering an outfit that consists of a jacket and slacks at ManCave. The “Denim Zip” Jacket is an open basic styled jacket that fits nicely but I find that what would make it better is an added shirt with a texture HUD to give a little more variety. While it’s fun to walk around without a shirt like you don’t have a care in the world, it limits the amount of places you might want to wear it to. While I am wearing this is Light Gray, you also have 3 other color options to choose from.

Coordinating with the jacket are the “Cotton Pants” which are your standard but comfortable casual slacks. Great for going out for a night on the town or getting together with colleagues. There are three colors to choose from (Black, Sand, and White). Both items from Gabriel come with sizes for Belleza, Signature, SLink, and TMP mesh bodies and can be purchased in FATPACKS as well for those that want to mix and match their styles.

Completing my casual look are the “Hayan Slip On” shoes from [Z O O M]. These laceless loafer type shoes are a great addition to your wardrobe. They are stylish and come with a HUD that allows you to color change the different parts of the shoe for that extra customization that if you are like me, you are going to love. I’m wearing the Signature version but also included are a SLink version as well as Unrigged for those of you with different mesh body choices.

One of my fave items I picked up at Man Cave is the “Bathroom Pub Outside” backdrop by 220mL. It is a product by a brand that I’ve seen nothing but quality out of and I’ve used others and have nothing but good things to say. The textures and build give you that feeling as if you are actually standing outside the bathroom at a pub and in the case of this scene, waiting to catch someone in the act of doing something dubious. Props like this have somewhat changed my mind on using them compared to visiting a sim with pre-built settings. I’m becoming a photographer that is split 50/50 on this topic because of well made items like this.

It’s been a bit since I last created an entry and I deeply apologize for those of you who enjoy seeing my work. The real world has been a handful lately and it’s kept me from completing projects like the one you’re reading and seeing now. Hopefully things will calm down just a bit so that I can get more great looks to you and keep you informed about what’s out there.

I have been enjoying the skin and eyes that you’ve seen become more of my overall look as of late. While I am still going to showcase new items that catch my eye or are even a part of my great sponsors, I like just a little bit of normalcy with my non-blogging life as well and this has helped with that.

Last month at The Men’s Department, I picked up the “Quinn” hair from +elua+ and because I enjoy the products the brand puts out it was almost a sure necessity that I get this one because of the ties to part of my name even if there is not any direct affiliation. It’s a nice mid-length hair that is combed to the left side of the body. It has excellent textures and comes in many color packs which may cause you to have to make a decision…that is unless you get the full fatpack and just wear the ones you like whenever you want to.

Every once in a great while I find something great at Uber, which is very female-centric with male items thrown in every once in a great while. Gabriel has released an outfit that you could easily wear together or separate with other brands of clothing to mix and match but I honestly can say that it looks really good together so you may find it hard to. The “Half Pants In Shirt” is a long sleeved partially open tucked in formal type shirt. It comes in three different colors (Blue, Dark Gray, and White). The other half of the outfit are the “Suspender Half Pants” which are knee length shorts that have pulled down suspenders resting upon the sides of each leg. You can get these in black, khaki, and olive. Keep in mind that even though this outfit goes together the pieces are sold individually or in fatpacks of the three shirts together and also the three shorts together.

The “Summer Drive” pose set from Come Soon Poses really caught my eye when I was looking for a very cute couples type pose that I could set somewhere that had exceptional views, such as Netherwood. The cars that are a part of this pack are very well detailed and work really well to give that overall romantic feel.

I’ve also included in the style credits the look of what my lovely assistant is wearing. Just in case any of the ladies taking a look at this like what they see and want to do a bit of shopping as well.

After a small little break I’m back with some great new items from some of the designers and events that you gentleman all know and love. With that I’m going to get right into going over what went into this look so let’s get started shall we?

On the 20th of May a new fully stocked round of Men Only Monthly began and let me say it was a pretty good one for me personally. I feel like I went on a mad shopping spree when I went in there. There are several things from the event that went into this look which makes me happy because I don’t always get to post everything I buy at a certain event unless it’s a review copy or I have more alotted personal time so when I am able to feature the things I purchase it feels like a personal win.

The first item item for the look is the “Haunting” hair from Stealthic. This relatively new brand has had back to back hair items at the event and they have both been very well made from the textures used to the ability to style the hair in different ways which is starting to become a new trend on the grid and I certainly do not dislike it. There is also a hairbase that you can purchase in addition but other hairbases do work (as I used a different one in this look that is a part of the No. Nuel Skin)

Also from the event, FLI. released a canvas type skater shoe simply called “Canvas”. Of course by now you know that I have a soft spot for shoes like this and this pair is most certainly no exception. It is modeled after a very popular brand of shoe of which in the real world I own a pair of which is even cooler that I can also wear them virtually. The only downfall about this product is that it is only for standard sized avatars and does not include a shoe shape which normally would not help someone with a mesh body like myself. With a little bit of resizing, I managed to make this work perfectly with my Gianni body but I’m not sure how well it will work with others as I have not tested it. I do hope in the future that FLI. decides to step up a little further by making shoes for the different mesh bodies that are out there. I think that it would certainly take the brand to even further heights.

Kinky is back with another round and while normally this kind of event is not my style, there are items that do interest me that are not exactly part of the theme of the event. Stray Dog, one of my favorite skin designers (and a lot of other people as well) have the “Hunter” skin for sale. Coming in three different tones it is compatible with the Catwa family of heads. There are two seperate HUDs included, one of which is a browless version. Inside these HUDs are several different options. There is the regular skin, a version that makes you look angry, and also freckles. You can also add kiss marks to your face as well if you are out and about being lascivious. All in all, I think this is another great addition to the skin line. Also for those of you who may not know, you can get the new body appliers (right now strictly for Gianni) at the Stray Dog flagship store.

Representing The Men’s Department in this entry are the “Blake” jeans by PARKER. These rolled cuff jeans work well with the canvas shoes that I am wearing and also have that ripped look that I seem to employ quite often in some of my outfits. There are 6 different denim types you can choose from if you make a single purchase, however, for those those who buy the full pack there are two extra denim choices as an added bonus. These jeans come in sizes for Gianni, SLink Physique, and TMP mesh bodies.

The Gabriel “Zipped” Jacket was an item first featured at last months Uber event. It is one of those cases where I just was not able to put this look together (I didn’t have the shoes at the time) before the event ended. I really like how this item fits and seamlessly works with the jeans without any clipping. You get two versions with this product, one with a shirt and one without. The one thing I say this item lacks is the ability to change the shirt color and while white is very neutral and versatile, it is just nice to be able to have options in case you have a pair of jeans or pants of a certain color and you want to match them better. Overall this is a really great product and very highly recommended.

Lastly, Nivaro recently released a few new beard appliers in their store. I am wearing the “rugged” beard style which comes with three different HUDs (for Catwa, Omega, and Signature respectively). Within each of these are five different colors: White (which is tintable to whatever color you wish), Black, Bornw, Blonde, and Red. There is also a button that you can press if you want to remove it without having to go through any extra steps to take it off when you want to go clean shaven or want to wear a different style. One of the things I like best about this is it gelled well with the hairbase I am using, as it is one of my peeves when your hair and beard do not connect and leave a strange looking gap between them. Nivaro has caught my eye and I’ll definitely be returning there to look at other styles.
