So shine for me as one
Cast a shadow on the sun
The light to find my way
I hope tomorrow comes today
12 Stones, ♫Tomorrow Comes Today♫

When you have a lot of irons in the fire you tend to forget something and I feel so bad that I missed blogging some great items from the recent NEO Japan event that ended on the 21st. I captured a really fantastic picture (well two of them a front and back facing shot) that I feel very proud about. The items from the event will turn over into the main store locations for the brands that I’m featuring so do not feel as sad as I do right now because you will still be able to get them if you want them (and I hope you do!)
One of the many things that I am a huge fan of is katanas and the different warriors of the past who wielded them (Samurai and Ninja respectively) and the recent pose set release by Kokoro Poses has me amped hardcore. 4 poses with accompanying katana swords had me salivating creatively because of the outfit I had to accompany it with.
I’ve probably mentioned this before but with Kokoro Poses it pays to buy the full pack because they add little extras and who doesn’t love bonus poses? In this pack there are two…yes TWO extra poses and each pose has a mirrored pose and a katana specifically for each pose as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves bladed weapons as I do and I certainly would love to see what others do with this as well.
Kokoro Poses Tokugawa Fatpack features:
- Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required to use properly)
- 4 poses each with mirror and mesh katana specifically for the poses
- 2 bonus poses also with included mesh katana and mirrored versions
- Avaiable @ the Kokoro Poses in-world location
Another recent release, this one from Bakaboo is the Yang Kimono and Leggings which I think are truly great. As I put the look together and started setting up the pose and angle I really felt like a warrior even if it was in the virtual sense. Americans were not as welcome back in those days and were very scarce if any but I think it would have been amazing to live in that time period of the samurai.
Whenever I see shows or movies with sword fights it captivates me and personally I would love to learn the art of sword fighting and different disciplines such as the Bushido code which has also fascinated me over the years as well.
Getting back to Bakaboo, I can firmly say I am amazed by the creator, Ocean Blackthorne. Unique patterns and colors are something he utilizes in his clothing to make it one of a kind and something I firmly believe is cutting edge. The one thing I like about the kimono is that one half of it is sleeveless to allow for better movement that I feel would be essential for a samurai.
There are several great color options that are a part of this set and also for all the FATPACK lovers there are two exclusive patterns as bonus for purchasing the whole kit and caboodle. I really had several ideas for what pattern I wanted to wear but I truly liked the design of the red, blue and white pattern as it spoke more to me then some of the normal designs with just color without patterns involved.
Bakaboo Yang Kimono and Leggings features:
- 100% original mesh
- 10 designs with 2 bonus designs (for FATPACK owners)
- Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique male bodies
- Available now @ Bakaboo’s in-world location

All of the items in this blog’s look were a part of NEO Japan, which every time this event comes up there is always something great and I wasn’t able to get to cover it more as I would have liked to but I did managed to grab some things before the event ended that will make an appearance in future styling and photo sessions.
I wanted a hairstyle that was reflective of a samurai which I also found at NEO Japan in the way of the “087” hair from Dura. Much like returning to Argrace in the last blog entry, Dura is another brand that I haven’t featured in a long, long time. It’s not that I don’t like their creations it is more of a detachment from a style viewpoint. There just wasn’t much in the way that I felt reflected my style and so it wasn’t until now that I got a chance to get reacquainted with them. I like the couple flowing bangs in front and the pulled together bun in the back that finalized this look for me.
Now that I have one of their latest products I do not know for sure if I will blog Dura again but I would certainly like to if there is a style that really captures me like this one has.
Dura 087 FATPACK B features:
- 100% original mesh
- Hairbases HUD (for Catwa, Genesis, Omega & TMP) included
- Color Picker HUD included
- Left and right versions
- Male and Female versions
- Available @ Dura’s in-world store
The time has come for me to once again wrap up this post and before I do I would like to give praise to the “Little Yoshiwara” sim which I had never visited until today. The layout is based on the Bakamatsu period and is a point of cultural Japan which if you have time to explore (more than just take photos) it’s really a neat place to visit and I will definitely return there in the future.
Join me again soon as I leave you with the style credits and other pertinent information as well as the taxi to Little Yoshiwara. Enjoy exploring and until our paths cross again, it’s onto the next conversation…
