Brace yourselves because this entry is packed with a lot of information that I think is worthy of being read. I’ll try to keep everything short and sweet so that I don’t bore anyone but if the need to jump down to the credits is where you’re heading friendly reader then I’m glad you came to visit anyway. The Pose Fair is now underway and I’ve been enjoying trying to pick and choose the sets I want to work with (it’s not as easy as it seems). At the end of this week, the Skin Fair begins which will keep me pretty busy but these are the challenges I have fun with. As long as I feel in my mind I can do it then the sky is the limit for me.

To be able to show off the upcoming skin release by Birth (which I’ll get to here in momentarily) I thought that it would be best to go with a pose set that depicts working out. SVP’s “Strong” pose pack is just right with 6 different poses that very from push-ups to sit-ups and everything in between. Needless to say, it makes my pixels look super toned and sharp.

Birth will be releasing their “Evan” skin this coming Friday when the Skin Fair opens. It will have both CATWA head appliers as well as Bakes On Mesh versions as well in 9 different tones. Of course, as I have done with previous years of Skin Fair I am including a skin tone key to show you all of the tones available for this (body appliers are sold separately of course). Included for the BOM crowd are several tintable beards, eyebrows, and hairbases (Black, Blonde, Brown, Red and White/Tintable) on tattoo layers.

I would also be crazy not to mention that Signature is holding a giveaway at Skin Fair. Crazy right? 100 body packs will be given out at the event (50 Alice and 50 Geralt) to lucky winners who touch the Signature Kiosk on one of the Skin Fair sims. It is only one entry per avatar so pick wisely because if you win you are only going to get just one of the bodies. If you’ve always wanted to try out one of these but haven’t quite gotten there yet? Now it will be your chance to earn one free. I’ve been using Geralt for almost a week now and just like any mesh body, it has its pros and cons but I have managed to take some great pictures with it. I think I will keep going with it for the duration of the Fair and probably for a good while after just because I’ve used Gianni so much it deserves some rest.

There is just so much excitement throughout March that it is going to be hard not to contain myself. Keep an eye out on the site as plenty more fun and exciting things are in store.

The strength it’s taken me to do this post was something I was unsure of ever happening. Those who know me have undoubtedly been aware of my absence from blogging and or social media and there’s been a very valid reason. In September, my reality suffered a tremendous loss and while I don’t want to go into details as it’s not something I’m comfortable with but I wanted to make sure that when the time was right for me that I’d find a way to work it out through virtual artistry.

I’ve prided myself on the ability to be creative but lately it just hasn’t been there and it’s taken me away from the virtual side of things. My passion for it has been lacking and I don’t want to put anything less than 100% when I’m able to do it, otherwise it shows and if I can tell then I’m pretty darn sure that others can see it too.

While I’ve been away and dealing with the situation, some really excellent clothing has come out that I’ve wanted to promote and show because of how much I love it. Lapointe & Bastchild has been around for a long time and when it comes to their loyalty to their customers (as well as their bloggers) they rank among the top of any brand. They take the time to listen to the people that purchase and wear their clothing and even take the time to refresh some of the items by adjusting some of bugs for how it fits with a certain body or add a new body to the list of those that are asked to be added (within reason because creation of these things take a lot of time and effort to a degree that a lot of us fail to realize). The denim version of the “Ranger Shirt” was given an upgrade with some tweaks to some of the mesh bodies that have also made updates and with that the patterns have been given a refresh too. Long sleeve shirt on top of short ones are one of my favorite types of clothing so to see this update was a welcome one for me.

I might have missed it’s initial release at TMD in September but believe me when I say that the “Havoc Jeans” are everything. With three different types: Reg, Rolled and Tapered (which come in handy with different boot styles) and the ability to wear a pocket chain (also a feature that would make others beside myself shout “take my money!”) these jeans are a huge contender for the Heavyweight Champion in the male jeans market. For those who may have recently picked up the leather pants version of “Havoc” (which I will be showcasing hopefully soonish) that are currently at the November round of TMD, the key fob from it also works with the jeans and vice-versa with the chain. Lots of great features that are interchangeable between both releases. Please keep in mind that to get the chain and key fob are only available with the FATPACK version of both “Havoc” styles. If you have purchased a single color of either product, I believe that you can contact the store manager or the creators to upgrade to FATPACKs so you can get the bonus add-ons. It’s well worth it from my vantage point as someone who loves these kind of jeans/pants.

Compatibility for the “Ranger Shirt” and “Havoc Jeans” include: Belleza Jake, Signature (Geralt & Gianni) and SLink Physique (with an alpha for the SLink Redux version).

One thing I want to say that I feel is important is I know that we spend a lot of time focusing on things that may seem super important to us and tend to look past those that should be important. Look closer to those details because there will be a time that you’ll wish you’d paid more attention to them and will grow to regret it. Everyone’s situation is different and that is understandable but I think that we’ve all got people that mean a great deal to us and we should show them that because then neither you or they will ever have to question the importance they play.

I’m trying my best to not make this a downer post as that is not my intention, however, there have been many people I know virtually that have recently gone through something similar in their lives so this is not so much entirely for me as it is for them as well because we all are finding our ways to cope. The days, months and years to come will forever be changed but with all the love and support from those around us, it may never every bit of the hurt inside away but it will at least help us heal to some degree.

[#604] It’z Just What We Do

It’s the anniversary month for me as a blogger and there’s a lot going on for March so I am going to try and keep it rolling as best as I can to make sure I cover a lot of great things from events like Skin Fair, The Men Jail and The Men’s Department to stores like Cold-Ash and Native Urban. The energy I am riding on right now is great and I decided to visit Whimberly to see if I could find a spot for a photo.

I thought it would be fun to kick back and have a few cold ones to celebrate some of the milestones that I’ve accomplished lately as well as the aforementioned anniversary of blogging on my own (most won’t remember that I started blogging as part of a team for a site before I branched out).

The Men Jail opens up for a new round tomorrow and I have utilized a few items that I thought were fun. Since I already crossed off Corey Hart’s “Sunglasses At Night” I needed a different tune so with a scene that screams country I decided to go with one of my faves of the genre, Florida Georgia Line. I’ll be the first to say that Country is not my first choice when it comes to music but there are some really good artists and songs that are within the genre.

The sunglasses I have on are from a new designer/store that I have not heard of before named Ultraman Creations. The “Emperor Glasses” are pretty stylish and my favorite part about them is that they flip up revealing regular lenses. Reminds me a lot of the character of Dwayne Wayne played by Kadeem Hardison on “A Different World” though the style is a little different they still have the flip up action in common. The included HUD gives you the option to choose from 3 metals on the intricate part of the frame and 4 on the outside lenses. There is also a special section for the outside lenses where there are graphics like hearts and x’s as well as “Bad Boy”.

All in all these are a pretty fun pair of shades and it is not something you see a lot on the grid. I applaud the effort of Ultraman Creations and look forward to seeing what other types of products the release in the future and when someone asks about them, I can say I was one of the first to feature them on These Conversations Kill.

The other item I have from TMJ is the “X. Beer Bucket” by X. Store (another new store that I’m just getting acquainted with). While the main function of the bucket is to be worn by the owner (from which beverages can be dispensed to anyone who clicks it), I’ve chosen to use it in a different capacity as a decor function. It also comes with a bottle of brew that has a hand hold animation when worn.

Pretty soon the weather will get nicer and there will be in-world barbecues and this will definitely come in handy for the brew consumers in your circle or family. Give it a closer look when The Men Jail opens tomorrow along with many other offerings this round.

I have a new jacket to wear courtesy of Cold-Ash by way of The Men’s Department. Much like the last release the “Ryan Bomber Jacket” comes with an option for a hooded sweatshirt or a regular shirt; considering I wore the hoodie version with the last release even though I love them I have to at least be fair.

With the FATPACK there is 9 different jacket colors with 11 different hoodie colors and 10 shirt colors which makes matching it up with the rest of your wardrobe as easy as can be. I chose to wear the red (or crimson if you prefer) color to go along with the red tint of the lenses on the glasses. I could have gone with blue but I wanted to have some contrast between myself and the night sky in the photo.

One hugely positive thing I can say of Cold-Ash is that while there may not be releases for every event under the sun, the events the store participates in get a high quality item because CA doesn’t take shortcuts or rush things just to make a deadline and that is something I can appreciate as I’m sure everyone out there does as well. With there being several more weeks of the cold going on I am nearly positive this will make another appearance before the weather turns decent.

Inspired by Free Hugs Campaign

When you are reminded of a good song that you find has inspired you in some capacity you realize you want to share it with as many people as you can; in this post that is exactly what I’m doing. Combining two different versions of the song (one that was made by the person that inspired the photos I took and the other being the version that ended up on the album) I’m bringing you something that means something to me and I hope by the end of this post you will see that it’s more about clothes and poses and sims.

It’s about the human connection.


In the “Free Hugs Campaign” video, the person behind it all (whose name is Juan Mann) is walking around with a sign that reads “Free Hugs” and people don’t seem to want to have anything to do with him. I’m emulating that very thing myself but instead of a sign I have on a shirt that says “Free Hugs” that is part of the February group gift from R2A. I enlisted the help of my good friend Illuminatra to pose with me as one of the people who do not wish to get a free hug and would rather I buggered off.

In the picture above I’m basically taking a break because no one seems to be giving me the time of day even though all I’m doing is trying to promote good will and show the world that the human spirit can triumph over anything if you just give it the chance to. I took all of the pics you see in this blog on location at the Mopire City sim which I previously used as a location for the blog post #441 (Ride). It’s a really nice city to explore and of course take pictures at if you ever find yourself looking for that kind of environment.


Modulus has two new releases available right now at The Men’s Department and for this blog I am showing off the “Carl” hairstyle. You can see it up closer in the above shot and I used the BROWNS HUD and chose one of the colors that had some light streak tinting on the longer part of the hair. It gives it a more unique look and feel which is something I’m definitely all about.

The Man Cave recently opened and EQUAL released another low top shoe and I was so torn about what color to buy (as I knew at this moment I could not get the FATPACK as I might have before) so I thought long and hard and chose the black pair because it matched my outfit and it’s one of those universal things that will go with any outfit you might wear.


Now as I resume my quest to give out free hugs (even though previously was a bust) I finally find one kind soul that is willing to bring it in just like in the video when Juan finally starts to see people “embrace” the concept of what he’s trying to do. For the part of the older woman I was able to convince my sister in law, Lucie, to come shoot pics with me (as she has the LAQ female head that is more aged). I have reason to believe that she’ll be posting some shots from this session as well on her blog, Bluebird’s Song. You’ll be able to get her style credits when they are posted give or take in a day or so but I’d say go check out the blog before then because it’s really well thought out and put together.


Here is the actual pic of the first hug given with the nice older woman who probably felt sorry for me because nobody wanted any part of Free Hugs. Though it is a sign of good things to come as others take notice of the event are are possibly compelled to join in on the social experiment. A big thank you to Lucie for joining me and being a part of this blog, it wouldn’t have been possible without your part in the creativity of what has become the end result.


This is probably one of the most pic driven blogs I’ve done in a very long time but it was something that I really wanted to put just as much effort into as I do anything else and it called for the extra photos to tell the story and to really get the feel of it down correctly. It would have actually been longer if I had done shots of police trying to put a stop to Free Hugs as was shown in the video. It went so far as to Juan drawing up a petition to reinstate Free Hugs in the city which garnered thousands of signatures and it was then once again publicly allowed. It goes to show you that if you’re passionate enough about something and you believe in it to your core being that nothing can truly stop you.

For the above pic and the one that is to follow, I was able to get my brother Ethan to be one of the enthusiastic huggers once the campaign/movement started to take off.

A large thank you to Ethan for posing for these with me, I’m glad that we were able to do a photo together because it’s been way too long since we did one last. I’ll make sure the next one doesn’t take so long for me to include you again as I now know you enjoy doing it.


As I wrap this up I want to thank Lumi, Lucie and Ethan for helping me create this visual. Every moment of it has been enjoyable and I hope that when you guys see it you are as proud of it as I am. Without the three of you I don’t think I would have been able to make it work quite the way it did so you guys deserve credit as well for your help.

One last thing I’d like to say is I know that things might be a bit different then they were when Juan Mann started the Free Hugs Campaign and that sexual harassment is sadly on the rise but I feel that sometimes people do need hugs to brighten their day and there aren’t always people out there that are looking to do bad things. A thing to consider is that one person that may need a hug because they are having a rough go of things in their life, if they get that hug to show that someone actually is thinking of them in a positive way just may save their life. That’s all there is for this post but I appreciate anyone who takes a look at it.

When I saw the ad for this outfit I knew I had to grab it because it reminded me of the video for the Free Hugs Campaign. This outfit comes with more than the shirt and sweatpants, there is also a snapback hat which says “Free Hugs” on it as well. Shoes also come with it but I was having a difficult time fitting them and I had the EQUAL shoes that I wanted to blog as well. The concept of the outfit is great and it looks good (as well as it is high quality). R2A has a lot of great urban clothing options that I suggest you check out because it is very much worth the time. So join the group as it costs nothing, get the outfit and then maybe do some shopping for yourself.

Another great footwear release from the EQUAL brand is available at the recently opened February round of Man Cave. These low tops are similar to what I’d call a Converse All-Star only they do note have laces in them which I think is a fantastic and underutilized feature in the virtual world. These shoes come with a HUD that allows you to change the soles of the shoe between two colors as well as the metal color of the eyelets. A really great street type shoe for casual type wear that will be great to wear with your jeans or sweats.

It’s been a bit since I last created an entry and I deeply apologize for those of you who enjoy seeing my work. The real world has been a handful lately and it’s kept me from completing projects like the one you’re reading and seeing now. Hopefully things will calm down just a bit so that I can get more great looks to you and keep you informed about what’s out there.

I have been enjoying the skin and eyes that you’ve seen become more of my overall look as of late. While I am still going to showcase new items that catch my eye or are even a part of my great sponsors, I like just a little bit of normalcy with my non-blogging life as well and this has helped with that.

Last month at The Men’s Department, I picked up the “Quinn” hair from +elua+ and because I enjoy the products the brand puts out it was almost a sure necessity that I get this one because of the ties to part of my name even if there is not any direct affiliation. It’s a nice mid-length hair that is combed to the left side of the body. It has excellent textures and comes in many color packs which may cause you to have to make a decision…that is unless you get the full fatpack and just wear the ones you like whenever you want to.

Every once in a great while I find something great at Uber, which is very female-centric with male items thrown in every once in a great while. Gabriel has released an outfit that you could easily wear together or separate with other brands of clothing to mix and match but I honestly can say that it looks really good together so you may find it hard to. The “Half Pants In Shirt” is a long sleeved partially open tucked in formal type shirt. It comes in three different colors (Blue, Dark Gray, and White). The other half of the outfit are the “Suspender Half Pants” which are knee length shorts that have pulled down suspenders resting upon the sides of each leg. You can get these in black, khaki, and olive. Keep in mind that even though this outfit goes together the pieces are sold individually or in fatpacks of the three shirts together and also the three shorts together.

The “Summer Drive” pose set from Come Soon Poses really caught my eye when I was looking for a very cute couples type pose that I could set somewhere that had exceptional views, such as Netherwood. The cars that are a part of this pack are very well detailed and work really well to give that overall romantic feel.

I’ve also included in the style credits the look of what my lovely assistant is wearing. Just in case any of the ladies taking a look at this like what they see and want to do a bit of shopping as well.

For those of you who are unaware, the February edition of the SwagBag is going to be the last one. Luckily for those of you who were wanting to get some of the past boxes or have yet to get this month’s box you can go to their headquarters until the 6th of March and pick up any of the SwagBags for $2000. I’ve enjoyed receiving these boxes and I am a bit sad about them not continuing on but at least some really cool ideas and items came from them.

Inside the February SwagBag are two different pose sets from Come Soon Poses that feature boxing themes, one a singles pose set and the other made for couples. The gym backdrop is included and it’s just one of another well made releases from Come Soon. I enjoy their work and thought of an idea for using it and was finally able to put visuals to it.

Modulus is a contributor to the February round of Shiny Shabby with the “Ty” skin. This is a little bit different from their previous releases as there are three new different tones that have been added to the ones we already know. New to the brand are the Almond, Caramel, and Espresso tones and also have separate Omega or Signature appliers for the body. When I first saw the ad for this I thought it looked exactly like Tyrese Gibson but I’ve found out from a very good source that it was actually model/actor Tyson Beckford who the skin was designed after. Either way, it is surely a great looking skin.

I also picked up a few things to complete my boxing look, the INHUMANE shorts from BLACKX come in 5 different colors and to go with the next item I purchased from the marketplace I went with white.

Every boxer (no matter if it is professional or otherwise) needs to tape up their hands. There are not very many out there on for purchase that will work for Omega or [SIGNATURE] and that is what lead me to the MP. I picked up the white version of Mel Essence’s “Short Hand Wraps” They come in 3 different opacities (Light, Normal, and Dark).

It’s time for me to put the “wraps” on this entry so I will leave you with the credits and the transportation to get there so I can get to work on “knocking out” another entry. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
