[#699] Not Tired Of You

I want to feel a change
I don’t mind if it hurts
You take away the pain
You’re the only thing that’s pure

The Exies, ♫Tired Of You♫

It’s been a long time since I’ve had the pleasure of taking a photograph with guests posing for me so I thought it was time to change that. Thankfully the timing was right that I was able to snag my brother Lucky and his lady, Aria, at their home for what I feel turned out to be a really great photo. Both Lucky and Aria both are photographers as well so for them to do this for me is a big deal.

Lucky for the last few months has been spinning tunes at The Burrow Co. every other Saturdays (his next gig is this weekend on the 12th). Sometimes he’s got themes going and did a memorable tribute to Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park) on the 18th of July. I was there in attendance and there were lots of people there for that. Overall it was a great experience. If you enjoy Rock music and sometimes a few surprises thrown in between then you definitely need to go check him out.

Aria when she’s not taking photos is a phenomenal landscaper and decorator. I’ve seen first hand what she is capable of and I cannot express how good of an eye she has for it. Being someone that has very little patience for this type of thing, I respect anyone who devotes their time into creating awe-inspiring lands for her clients.

The couples pose I’ve chosen comes from a fairly new pose pose store called “PosaRosa”. I myself like to show love to some of the new kids on the block when it comes to poses so that with the light shining on them people get to know them better. I feel with the photo I took of Lucky and Aria, it made for a really sweet fall type moment. Those looking for couples poses should take a look at “Support Me!” at the PosaRosa booth at Pose Fair which runs until the 21st of September.

Also be sure to check out Lucky’s blog here and also Aria’s blog here for more great photos and fashions.

[#667] Kissing Under The Mistletoe

You know the stars are shining just for you
Let’s take a walk and we can follow the moon
Until we reach the place we could stay
Maybe kiss a bit and dream away

Kissing Under The Mistletoe, ♫Loving Caliber (feat. Emmi)♫

After a small break with that last entry, I’m back at it again with more goodness from the Pose Fair; I couldn’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy doing photos with Brenna. This time we’ve come together to show everyone the “Kiss Me” pose from Space Cadet. It works well because we are both fans of this brand and when I see them at an event like Pose Fair I gravitate towards it and I make sure that I put together a scene as quick as possible. This sweet pose is included with the mistletoe prop so that anyone can get in on the fun.

It also seems that Brenna also has most of the new items in her look then I do but of course I’ve previously blogged the skin I’m wearing as well as the hat/hair (that I’ve not found a good angle to capture yet still but bare with me, I’m trying!) She’s wearing hair and a skin from the Doux/L’etre gacha from The Arcade (and was also kind enough to hook me up with some spares for one of my previous entries). There’s also the “Dove Sweater” by Miss Chelsea that has two exclusive designs at the Anthem event for just $99L through the course of the event so ladies if you haven’t taken a look at that it’s worth doing.

Admittedly this probably wasn’t the greatest scene setup that I’ve ever used in one of my photos but I wanted to focus on the pose and the closeness of Brenna and I. This time of year is not that easy for me and probably even more so now without getting into detail but the best way to put it is that being with those you care about helps with some of that and I’m all for those moments…and besides I don’t think we’ve ever done a photo before where we’re kissing with mistletoe.

I wouldn’t be opposed to more of them in the future.

[#657] Something Wicked This Way Comes

Sit around for awhile until I’m old

I felt like I needed to at least get some kind of October creepiness in during the month even if it’s not on Halloween proper. There’s still a high chance I might make a post for it but I’m not going to say that I am and then if I don’t then I would be going against my word which is something I tend not to like to do.

At Collabor88, you can get one of two new hairstyles from lock&tuft both of which feature accompanying masks. I couldn’t resist wearing the male version named “Jack” because it looks pretty creepy in a spooky (and not to mention stylish) way. The hair and mask are separate each with their own HUD’s to change their appearance. Note though that for my photo I used the white hair and used the editing tools within the Firestorm viewer to make it more crimson to match my suit and make me even more of a devil. There is also a half version included without the huge tongue but I wanted to go for the gold because to me it just fit what I wanted to do a lot more.

I wouldn’t wait until the last day of the October round (which is Nov 7th) to pick this up because you could definitely use it as part of your Halloween getup.

Paparazzi has a really fun backdrop at Salem this year, which is one of the really cool events that runs during October (which even though I don’t like the weather change, I love October for a lot of other things like Halloween). The overall appearance makes this one of those photography aids that any lover of this genre particularly happy.

One of the best things about it is the built in lighting so that you don’t really have to do a whole lot during scene setup if you do not want to and with the right windlight would make for a great photo; I’m rather happy with the way this session turned out. Make sure you get to Salem before the 31st otherwise you’ll have to wait until it gets added to Paparazzi’s in-world store!

[#594] No Matter What

And everybody said that we would never last,
And if they saw us now I bet they’d take it back
It doesn’t matter what we do or what we say
‘Cause nothing matters anyway!

Papa Roach, ♫No Matter What

My last blog was a bit on the heavy side and to maintain the balance, I chose to do something upbeat and also because I really wanted to show off this pose by Mouni Poses that is one of the many couples poses at the Valentine’s Pop Up that still has 4 days left before it closes down. That means if you’re planning to do some kind of sweet and romantic pose with your significant other then don’t wait until the last minute and be a sad bum because you’ve forgotten.

“Shallow” is the name of the pose and maybe I’m not reading into the overall look of the pose but I don’t find anything shallow about it. To me it is just a couple sitting together with him gazing at her in a very sweet way (but that could just be the way I see it?) However, there may be a little disinterest on Brenna’s part maybe because chocolate and animals tend to overrule male attention but I still don’t feel that it is shallow but still a wonderful pose.

Mouni Poses – Shallow Couples Pose

  • Bento couples pose (bento viewer needed)
  • Poseballs adjustable via build/edit mode
  • Exclusive to Pose Fair’s Valetine’s Pop Up until 02/14/19

At this months round of The Men Jail, you can get this outfit by Gild called “Lazy Pants Combinaison” which is a complete mesh outfit of a sleeveless shirt with long rolled up pants that I purposely wore in Black and Pink to go with the Valentine’s Theme that it seems to be going on. Each pants color comes with a version with a black shirt or a white shirt giving you the option to choose what you like best.

I am a fan of this outfit because of the fact that it is loose fitting and not binding to the body; it adds to the overall look of comfort while still being very stylish. Gild is one of those brands that I seek out when they are at an event because I know that there will be several good options and the clothing is of high quality without making me have to decide between their item and another because usually I can get both.

Gild – Lazy Pants Combinaison

  • Original mesh
  • 4 pants colors to choose from (sold separately)
  • FATPACK is also available
  • Fitted for Belleza (Jake) and Signature (Gianni) mesh bodies
  • Exclusive to The Men Jail until 02/28/19

For the second straight blog I’m wearing the “Troy Hair” from Modulus and I can hear some of my friends saying something about me actually wearing something twice in a row but I’m wearing the hair because I like it and in this look I kind of feel like I might be a Troy so it works out well. Also to be fair in the last photo I did it wasn’t easy at all to see the hair with the lighting and darkness of the pool so I wanted to give a better look (with a shot taken in daylight).

Considering that I did just blog this hair, I’m not going to list features because it’s already a part of the one before. Moving to those of you ladies that may browse this site for your guy or see something that Brenna might be wearing (like the romper and hair accessory she’s wearing in this post), you’ll know that Collabor88 or just C88 for most people (abbreviations are the thing these days). Also the valentine’s Pomeranian by Black Bantam is also at the event and I have a feeling that it is likely a top seller there as animal makers such as them and Jian create such realistic looking pet decor.

On that note, I’m going to wrap this up and get it sent out because I’m working with a deadline of sorts and I’d like not to go past it, however, before I do go I have to say that working with the Black Dragon viewer so far has been an experience but it’s been rather pleasant so far. I feel that it gives my photos a little extra from what I have noticed and others have also. I always want to make sure that my photos are reflective of what I see in my head and I believe that the more comfortable I get with Black Dragon, I can achieve that.

The weekend is about over now so it’s back to the grind but I wish everyone a productive and hopefully enjoyable week. I’ll be posting as much as I can if the spirit moves me and the creativity does as well. There are a few ideas I’d like to get out of my brain this week if possible before I end up forgetting them (would be a shame to waste something I feel is a good idea).

Until the next blog, be well and take care of you and yours and maybe try sometime new that you’ve been wanting to do but have hesitated. Good things may come of it and you’ll wonder what took you so long.

I don’t mind pretending I’m someone else, whoever you want me to be
As long as I’m inside you, you’ll never want me to leave

The Blank Theory, ♫Addicted

In my last blog I peeled a few layers off of what my normal blog style is usually and with that mindset, I chose to take it a little further even and get Brenna involved in the process; she was absolutely encouraging and wonderful with this process as I push my boundaries even further. With the help of RM Poses, we were able to explore uncharted territory in my photography and blogging portfolio.

“Strawberries For You” is a couples pose that shows a sensual side of feeding your lover the tasty fruit. I find that this pose is classy and has great views in several different directions, which I’ve explored as well during the photo session for this blog post (and why wouldn’t I all things considered). I have to make a note to those who might be interested in this pose because of the fact that with how it is set up there is some adjusting that will need to be done especially if both avatars are of different heights. It’s a fantastic pose and I’m glad I got the opportunity to be able to use it.

RM Poses – Strawberries For You Pose and Prop

  • Bento enabled couples pose (bento viewer required for use)

Also like my last blog I have a few more items from The Men Jail event to just about wrap up my coverage for January. With showing more skin if that is what I’m going to do then why not show ink on my pixels as I do have some in the real world but not as much as I can have in the virtual landscape. “The Demon Horror” Tattoo by KAOS Tattoos is definitely an interesting look and lives up to its name.

With tattoos I tend to usually only apply the light versions but it is also nice to have the medium and dark options as well just in case I were to ever change my mind. I just have a weird way with tattoos and the dark (or fresh as I refer to it as) option just doesn’t really translate virtually as it does in the real world. It isn’t the fault of any tattoo makers it is just what they have to work with. This is a creative design and I could also see wearing it during a role-play situation where a character might be into a darker lifestyle.

Many times I have said that I don’t blog accessories like necklaces or bracelets often but I could not pass up the opportunity to take a look at the “Dan Bracelet” by NaaNaa’s. It is a beaded style with all the things I happen to like (such as skulls and a cross) which given the overall theme of this post makes a lot of sense as “Addicted” by The Blank Theory serves as the soundtrack to this post. I feel like it could be interpreted many ways as how the addiction party plays out but I’m going with the human interaction aspect of it.

KAOS Tattoo – Demon Horror

  • Belleza, Maitreya, Omega and SLink Appliers included
  • 3 tones to choose from (Light, Medium and Dark)

Modulus is once again back as my hair stylist with their latest, the “Bailey Hair” that is currently at Equal10. There are a lot of quality events that Modulus releases products at but I think Equal10 is truly the most visual appealing because of the cool retro 80’s layout. I could be a bit biased because that is something I know a little bit about.

This is a short to medium length hair swept off to the sides (which you can choose with both left and right versions of the hair). It’s also nice that their are little flyaway strands which is something I can tell you Modulus excels at and it’s not flat hair that doesn’t have any kind of action or movement because who wants that? On top of that the brand gets better and better all the time which keeps its core base of loyal shoppers coming back with more joining the family every day.

Modulus – Bailey Hair

  • 100% original “nex-gen” alpha mesh
  • 5 Color HUD packs + integrated tinting within HUD
  • 40 color FATPACK also available
  • Left and right mirror versions
  • Exclusively @ Equal 10 until 02/05/19

Some other notes to cover is that Brenna has a few event release items as well which consist of the “NaturalLite Lashes #2” by Mai Bilavio and “Glow” tattto by Speakeasy that can both be found at the Access event. For the fellas that might have significant women in their lives I can definitely recommend the “Simplicity Lingerie” by Moon Amore that is waiting to be had at Collabor88. This is certainly an attention grabber that any lingerie connoisseur will want to have in their collection.

Lastly, with the amount of blogs I have posted this month, it should give a lot of reasons to go hit the hot events and take a look at what is new across the grid. If I were a regular customer, I would certainly be browsing all of these events hoping to find fun things. On that note I think it is time to wrap things up and get things set for the next blog which I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet as I can now actively blog any item from the Pose Fair I choose so that gives me a lot of options and perhaps way too many ideas.

Keep the conversations going and perhaps maybe I started some new ones just now!

[#576] Dangerous Night

What a dangerous night to fall in love
Don’t know why we still hide what we’ve become
Do you want to cross the line?
We’re running out of time
A dangerous night to fall in love

Thirty Seconds To Mars, ♫Dangerous Night

Unlike previous rounds of Pose Fair, I was able to add myself to be able to blog couples poses from the romantic category. Brenna has been a blessing in disguise with her willingness to help me bring the poses of wonderful creators to life with the visions I pull from my head. As much as I consider myself a male blogger and this a male blog overall, this has become almost somewhat of an all purpose place for me to be creative with things that catch my attention.

During the process of taking the photos for this post, I only chose one out of the few I took because to me it was the epitome of what I saw in my head. After completely a few minor adjustments, I showed it to Brenna and she absolutely loved how it turned out and as such is going to end up as a portrait in our home. I can honestly say that means something to me that we can chronicle things like this and remember them as they are affixed to a wall.

Hazeel is one of the stores participating at Pose Fair that I’m unfamiliar but from their releases this round they are on my radar and I will surely be looking out for more of what they do. Their “Enticing” pose has what I would say is a touch of elegance with the chair prop and the way the poses give the idea of a couple that are super classy.

I like that it differs from other couple’s poses that are super up close and lovey (which there is nothing wrong with); it gives a different perspective of how two people can be close with each other without intimacy just a longing look. I find it also wonderful that the included chair prop went well with at least one part of the house that we could photograph.

Hazeel – Enticing Pose & Prop

  • Bento enabled pose (bento viewer required)
  • Mesh chair prop included (with poses inside)
  • Poseballs for both male and female props also included
  • Static poses for male and female included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

For my look I took things that I previously blogged that I really liked (the “Leo hair” from Modulus and the “Grayson Roll-Up Trousers” from Cold-Ash) and paired it with a shirt/vest combination by Tori Toricelli that I picked up at the December round of the Man Cave. I planned it use it for another photo down the line but I changed my mind at the last minute and used it for this shot; it’s also possible that I can maybe use it then too if enough time passes.

While I stuck to going with older items, Brenna is the new items champion as she brings to her look a bunch of items from Collabor88 including the “Julie” hair from Exile and the “Fancy Blazer and Pants” separates by Pixicat. I really loved the style of the outfit she has on because of how classy the picture is and the ad for the pose shows the female with a dress on. Brenna seems to be a lot better at going outside of traditional ideas then I am but I’m certainly working at it and what I can say now is that will be sooner than later.

On that note I am going to move onto the credits phase of the post due to the fact that the pose and prop set are the only truly new items featured in this post besides Brenna’s items. This also gives me the ability to publish this post and get to work on whatever happens to be next, I’ll probably throw in another entry that’s just me before I get to the other blog post that I also shot with Brenna recently.

Many thanks to anyone who put up with what I consider my ramblings. Whether I know it or not, I do this more than just for me and also because it brings a lot of enjoyment even when it seems like the post is somewhat of a downer (we all have our moments and that is how this thing called life works). Until the next time keep the conversations going!

Warmest regards,

B

[#572] Gimme A HELL…Gimme A YEAH!

Can you feel that?
You better hold on
This one’s about to get bumpy

Rev Theory, ♫Hell Yeah

The weekend is here and I’ve got something more from the Pose Fair to share (which is going to be a central theme this month) and one of my long time fave pose makers. Most people on the grid are familiar with WetCat Poses and if not they should become versed in one of the brands that has been around for just about half the time I’ve been active on the grid if not more.

WetCat is a brand that when visiting their store you can find single poses for both male and female, couples poses as well as things with props such as the pose I am featuring in this post. In my personal opinion I am a fan of any pose store that can do just about everything and do it well; it is what grabs my attention and allows me to get my creative mind to kick into overdrive.

The Pose that Brenna and I are using is called “Youngblood” which being a music fan I am pretty sure that it is a reference to a song by the band “Five Seconds Of Summer”. I have never actually heard it and it could prompt me to go and give it a listen but I already had a good idea for the soundtrack before I even started taking photos.

With that said, I’ve been wanting to do a photo with a motorcycle involved for some time now and of course especially one with my wife because she is often a source of motivation and inspiration. Rev Theory’s “Hell Yeah” is an adrenaline filled jam that to me focuses on the way a woman happens to fuel the person whose perspective the words are coming from and that definitely is close to home if not right at the doorstep.

WetCat Poses – Young Blood Pose & Prop:

  • Mesh motorcycle prop included
  • Couple posesball poses
  • Versions for curvier models also included
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair now until 01/31/19

It was a lot of fun for me to put together a biker look because I don’t usually do photos with me wearing leather jackets as much as I would like and I even found a great pair of leather pants that I just had sitting in my closet from a Gabriel gacha from last year or somewhere around there. The outfit was super easy and I’ll get into that a little more in a few but what I thought may be trouble was finding hair that looked the part of what I was going with.

Fortunately enough Modulus has a style called “Leo” that is at N21 until today so it is quite possible that this may not get published until later but I will still leave a taxi to get there but if it isn’t then it will hit the main store by no later than Sunday I would say. Modulus is really good about getting their hairs from events into the store so that people who may have missed them (and I’m a person who tends to miss events more than I want to admit as both a blogger and a shop-a-holic).

“Leo’s” style is moderately short but with some slight hanging locks to the side (which side it is on is up to the individual user). It was a great choice to go with for a biker appearance because it’s an in between type style and what I mean by that is that it isn’t completely buzzed but it isn’t super long (though some bikers do have long hair). It’s a fantastic hair that I recommend for the fellas out there and even gals could pull it off because it does remind me of the style I have seen on actress Ruby Rose.

Modulus – Leo Hair:

  • Original “Nex-Gen” Alpha Mesh
  • 5 Color Packs with Integrated Tinting in HUDs
  • 40 Color FatPack also available
  • Left or right mirrored versions included
  • Exclusively @ N21 until 01/12/19

A month or so back at TMD there was a leather jacket by Tori Toricelli called “The High Line Jacket” and I had meant to get it because I knew there would be use for it but I forgot to get it while it was at the event. When the idea of this photo started to play in my mind the memory of not getting that jacket came to the forefront which prompted me to find their store (I had never been there before) and get the jacket to complete my look. I already had the boots, I had the pants and and I had the hair and facial look nailed down which made this the last piece I needed.

There are a lot of features in the FATPACK that I couldn’t ignore so I made the hard choice to get it with the idea in mind that this photo is not the only time I’ll be using this jacket; it has many uses and I can wear different colors of it in combination with shirts and graphic styles to not make it the exact same jacket. The graphics feature is rather neat because it can be turned on and off as well as a choice of having light or dark versions depending on what color shirt is chosen.

“The High Line Jacket” is available in singles versions (with white or black shirts but without graphics) and come fitted for Aesthetic “Enzo”, Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique male mesh bodies.

I‘ve chosen not to bulleted list for the Tori Toricelli jacket because I’m not necessarily featuring it as a new item as well as it is not a brand that I am a part of the blogger team. Not that it makes it less important to me as it is a very big part of my look for this blog it just saves on time as well as reading because I feel like I have started to go well over what I’ve allotted myself for this post.

On that note it is time to provide the credits for what I am wearing as well as what Brenna’s look consists of so that if there’s anything that catches the eyes of the female readers of this blog then they’ll know where to pick up those items as well. Expect more from me this week as this is the first of two photo sessions I had last night so I anticipate probably posting at least five or six days out of seven depending on my schedule.

More photo sessions await me so I’m going to say goodbye for now and will be back soon with another conversation!

[#481] So Kiss Me

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Sixpence None The Richer, ♫Kiss Me

Once again I am going outside of my norm by dusting off the lady version of myself and I’m sure there’s a joke in there about me getting in touch with my feminine side but we can save all that for later. I’m starting to branch out a little bit and maybe slightly abandoning the “strictly male” blog label in exchange for allowing myself to have the ability to create things and not limit myself.

Maybe I’m more of just a fashion/lifestyle/art blogger.

You might think that I’d get annoyed when friends, family or fellow bloggers send me items they’ve played from a Gacha machine that they don’t want but honestly it gives me a chance to see what I can do from another perspective. When I received the Serenity Style “Choiboy Cloud Backdrop” I knew that there wasn’t anything that I’d likely be able to figure out to do with it for myself. That’s when I put on the old thinking cap and started brainstorming and remembered there was a really great swing pose and prop from Ardent Poses at the Pose Fair right now and my plan was taking off.

“Hanging By A Moment” is a gacha that contains 10 poses (8 commons and 2 RARES) and features a flowered porch swing (or it could just be a swing placed just about anywhere as you can see from my photo. Normally you would think blogging the RARE would have been my aim but I’m sure it’s probably been done ad nauseum by other bloggers so I took the road less traveled and went with one that I thought looked cute (yes I said the word cute).

Coming up with an outfit was something I though could be difficult but the fact remains and it has pretty much always been that females have the corner of the market of everything in-world so really all that was needed was to take a look through events and their shopping guides and I’d find what I wanted…which was to be very simple and down to earth, sweet if you will.

I find it amusing that it takes me longer to put things together for Brena (yes I decided it would be easier if I stopped constantly referring to her as female me or fembot and also it’s a play on my name so it works and is also a good song by A Perfect Circle). I worked with a few different hairs but was not catching the right vibe and then I went to The Epiphany because I had my sights set on the RARE “Macaron” Hair from Navy+Copper. It only took a few plays to win it thankfully but it was worth it for having color choices to choose from as it was the Fat Pack.

It was also the right length that I wanted without getting in the way of anything or digging into her like the previous hairs I tried had.

3/4 of the outfit was complete and all I needed was a dress that would go with the idea of the swing which had flowers entwined into it, which reminded me of the latest creation from Apple May Designs currently at Collabor88 called “Country Girl”. One thing that makes things easier when I’m styling Brena is that just about every designer on the planet creates clothes for Maitreya so I will likely never have to worry about finding something to wear for her as opposed for myself not everyone makes clothing for the Belleza male body all the time.

As I said the contrasts between these two worlds is there and many people realize it but at the same time many do not or prefer to be blissfully oblivious to it.

Now that I’ve done two solo blog posts with just Brena in them, I feel more confident that I can do that from time to time when ideas and items that appeal to me that I’d like to feature her for is possible; it also gives me a chance to do poses that I might not have done in the past that involves a more couples feel. That way there won’t be any missed opportunities or chances to visually post ideas that have circled my brain.

That is all I have for this blog post, remember that you have until the 30th to get to Pose Fair to check out Ardent Poses and until the 6th of May to get to Collabor88 to check out all the things they have to offer.

Until our paths cross again, on to the next conversation…

[#463] When The Man Comes Around

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers.
One hundred million angels singin’.
Multitudes are marchin’ to the big kettle drum.
Voices callin’, voices cryin’.
Some are born and some are dyin’.
It’s Alpha and Omega’s Kingdom come.

The Man Comes Around♫ – Johnny Cash

For some reason for the second straight blog entry I came up with a darker lit post. Though the previous one wasn’t really dark as a theme, the way it was shot was in darker lighting. This time my story shot came out darker because it seemed appropriate for what I chose as the soundtrack. This is the first time I believe that I have used a song by Johnny Cash and it’s about time. I didn’t come into being a fan of his work until a bit later in life but I am grateful that I was able to know about him.

“The Man Comes Around” seems to me a song about end times and the rapture in the way the lyrics are written and structured and I found it very interesting and wondered how I could apply it to a shot full with fashion that would co-exist along with it; as I look at the overall feel of the visual it didn’t turn out too badly.

The way I visioned this post with some of the interpretation of the lyrics is that death has been sent to collect souls as a part of the end of the world. So the main story shot you see above is my thought of what death could possibly look like as he’s roaming the earth to complete his job. I knew I wanted to shoot the photo in a place that had dead looking trees to kind of fit in as well with it.

As I said the photo came out a little darker than I anticipated but I like how it feels; the only downside is you don’t see the details of the hair I am wearing as well. Which is why in the next pic you’ll see below three different angles (some with better detailing than this one). The hair I am wearing definitely reminded me a bit of Johnny Cash and what might be worn when he was in his prime. Modulus released the “Aaron” hair as their very first release being a part of the Colabor88 Event which I was excited to hear about.

“Aaron” comes with 25 different colors (a Modulus standard) and you can get them in 5 different color packs (or treat yourself to the FATPACK if you are undecided). What’s great is that each individual color pack has 5 colors but also comes with a color tint portion of the HUD where you can give a style a little extra color and come up with your own style that might not be included. This is definitely a rocker style hair that I think is going to be a hit at the event.

This also happens to be my second Skin Fair 2018 post and you are all getting a double dose of Modulus as I am wearing one of three new skins that you can pick up at the event. This handsome devil is “Graham” and he comes in 6 different tones (Caramel, Chestnut, Fair, Latte, Rose and Sand respectfully alphabetized). You can pick up the body appliers at the fair or at the main store which I’ll be hailing a cab for you down in the credits below for you to take when you are ready.

I’d like to also mention that this is a CATWA applier and made for the Victor head but if you feel adventurous as I sometimes do you can try it on any of CATWA’s other products (including the new Skell head that I’ll be covering soon!). Brow and Body Shapes are provided to help you look your best as was intended.

For my outfit (which you can’t do a song by Johnny Cash without wearing black right?) I am wearing the “Interus” suit in black from E-Clipse Designs. With the setting being a little dark, I did my best to show the details of this suit which are separated by top and bottom (and not one whole mesh). The suit comes fit for Belleza, Signature (Gianni) and SLink male mesh bodies.

Chat Noir has a new set of poses out for sale at the freshly open March round of The Men’s Jail. Pose set 1765 has 6 new poses (along with mirrors for each one) to help you capture that exact look you want to convey to your audience as a blogger or photographer. Take a trip to The Men’s Jail and give these poses a better look as well as other clothing, accessories and poses avialable.

This is definitely a look that would make “The Man In Black” himself proud I think.

Normally I do post more pics but for this entry I felt the two were enough so I could continue working on getting more Skin Fair posts cooking so that you can all see what some of my favorite brands are up to and check them out for yourself. I have more coming from TMD, as well as the Man Cave which is just opening today and perhaps more from The Men’s Jail as well.

Time for me to wrap this one up but I’ll be back again soon with more great things to shop for from stores and events that we all know and love.

Onto the next conversation…

[#454] Drink Deep In The Morning

La da da da
Lift up your voice
Let love cut through the American noise

American Noise♫ – Skillet

The one thing I knew after having such a huge and thought provoking post last time out, I felt like I really needed to come up with something strong to follow up with. I had my hair style and clothing but the one thing I needed was a setting. I looked through some of my resources and came across a sim I know I have never done any pics at so that was my destination…or so I hoped.

The Whole Wheat sim is a cornucopia of different settings all wrapped up into one and just randomly picking a door to go through I found a nice little place to set up shop. I really started getting a vibe with all the abandoned junk and debris which had things such as a cassette player and a record player that had been discarded and left abandoned. It was then that I finalized my look and knew that the pose set I wanted to use would work just right with the setting.

Recently I came across an ad that Chat Noir poses was looking for bloggers and before that I had been to their store to see if they had anything knew in male poses that I did not own. I came across pose set “1760” which was for guitar poses. I’m not going to turn down a guitar pose set even if I have other ones at my disposal as this is something new and not like others I have (a plus being it is bento enabled).

While there is no guarantee that I’ll get selected as a blogger I certainly hope that they see what I can do with their poses as I am a fan and enjoy the work they do.

With that said all the boxes for what I needed for this shoot were checked and I happily took quite a few shots from different angles and tested out different lighting but I feel the one I ended up with along with some minor magic with the help of the Nik Collection, I was able to capture a good photo.

When it comes to events I don’t always walk out with a purchase (even when I’ve looked at the shopping guide before hand). Most of the ones I go to outside of the usual all male variety can be hit and miss as far as male objects. Colabor88 is one of those events where every now and then something will catch my eye (usually footwear from some of my favorite designers as is the case for this post).

Vale Koer released a new pair of boots called the “RAINYDAY” boots and if anything was worth fighting the madness of trying to get in on the first day…these would be a good reason. When something in the virtual world reminds me of an item I own or have owned in the past and no longer have comes along I don’t hesitate. For a long time I had a pair of boots like this and wore them for many years, they got me through some of the last few years of High School and ended up being something I wore to work until they were finally done in for good. While I probably will most often wear the regular version of these or all black, it’s nice to know that I have other options in the FATPACK to entertain myself with on a whim.

Besides the Vale Koer boots, the rest of my outfit is completely from my brand partner, {COLD-ASH}, which I am wearing one new product and one previous product that has been updated to fit the Belleza body. The jeans work fantastic with the boots which I don’t think I could have planned any better than I did but my focus is more on the button down shirt which I guess you could say is also a previous product but it is different because it’s got a new coat of paint so to speak.

The Taylor shirt which I proudly wore in one of my favorite posts, #440 (Whenever The Rain) has gotten a makeover and now along with the Classic Pack which you can get at their store, they have released a version with dotted, plaid, and check patterns for those of you who are into that style. I can admit the moment I saw it and put it on along with the HUD that’s included I was super excited. It was really hard to decide what pattern to go with until I chose the one you see in the photos.

In the above pic I’m also showing a second pose from the Chat Noir 1760 set. The ad shows an electric guitar but I felt considering the type of background I was working with an acoustic would suit my photos a lot better and seems to be the right decision.

Leaving the best (or what I consider to be) for last when it comes to brands is sometimes the right thing to do. This post features a new hair from the M-Cuts line of the Modulus brand which I’ve been honored with being able to use in my work. This hair is the second to be released at The Men’s Department along with “Carl” at the monthly event. They are quite the opposite of one another in the fact that with “Carl” the hair is swept to the left side of the head and with “Stefan” it is shorter in length and swept to the right side.

I did my best to provide the angles to show the hair off from front to back and also to note that it will work great with a very short hairbase style which you can find at the Modulus store.

When it comes to an overall feeling after you taken the photos and pulled them into whatever editor that is used to touch things up, I felt very confident that this is probably my second favorite blog post of 2018. Sure there are still ten more months left in the year (I know, I know I’m not trying to rush anything I promise) but if I am already at a place where I think I’m doing well then as time continues on there’s not telling what great visual stories will unfold on this site. You can now scroll down to the styling credits (if you haven’t already) and I’ll see you again on the horizon.

Onto the next conversation…

SHIRT: {COLD-ASH} TAYLOR Shirt (Dotted/Plaid/Check Fatpack) ✦ NEW @ Man Cave

The original Taylor shirt was a hit for me as I enjoyed the posts that I created while wearing it and as much as I love solid colors, I really enjoy prints and patterns that much more which is why having the plaid and check patterns for this shirt are super awesome. While I may not be crazy about dots I really like how these were done so there definitely a possibility that you’ll see me wearing one of them in a photo (if not on my blog then possibly just a random flickr photo).

BOOTS: [VALE KOER] RAINYDAY BOOTS FATPACK ✦ NEW @ Collabor88

A great well constructed boot set with tons of different options (coming from the FATPACK). You can put together just about any color combination you’d like by just clicking a spot on the HUD and selecting your desired color choice. One thing I can say for certain is when it gets to be the time of year where designers are making shorts more, I’ll be wearing this quite a bit in combination as most pants would make it difficult to wear these without having to do some adjusting.

TA – Code Guitar

I’ve had this for quite a long time and it’s actually mostly for decoration as it is an acoustic guitar with a stand. They do give you one to wear and use (which I made a copy of to be able to make it work with the poses). After all this time it still looks great and stands up well as far as early mesh objects go and was glad that I could use it in this photo shoot.

CN* pose 1760

Anything to do with music is something I’m going to normally purchase if the timing is right and these guitar poses from Chat Noir are very well done. There are 6 different poses with (mirror/alternate sides) that are a combination of sitting and standing poses. I have to note that a guitar prop is not included with the pose and I had to use my own but pretty much any guitar you might have in your inventory can work with the right adjustments (make a copy of it first just in case!!!).
