After realizing that I’ve been hitting Pose Fair super hard (which is still continuing because I’m insane) I also had to remind myself that there are still plenty of excellent things from The Men Jail to blog and get out there on the interwebs as well as a backdrop from Paparazzi that’s been needing my attention. Yes, I am also using a pose from Pose Fair so there are tons of awesome things here.
I’ll start off with the “Preach The Word” backdrop from Paparazzi which is what I would consider a techno church (that is the visual representation I am guessing). This part of the scene is what prompted me to use Panic! At The Disco’s “This Is Gospel” for the sounds of his entry. It is probably one of my top five songs done by the Brandon Urie led band (which sometimes is just him depending on if you know anything about its history). I found PATD’s music several years ago which I freely admit I’m a late adopter because I’d only heard “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” now and again but didn’t really look into them more until the track “Nine In The Afternoon” became a playable track on the Rock Band game series.
The neon in the backdrop nails the overall essence of the backdrop and truthfully I’m not trying to make any kind of religious statement or anything like that, I just love how this looks it worked with the idea I had and I ran with it just to clarify (even if I don’t really have to and I don’t feel obligated either).
Paparazzi – Preach The Word Backdrop:
- Original Mesh build
- Modifiable to suit photography needs
- Lighting and neon glow built in
- Currently for sale @ the Paparazzi in-world location
Starting out with the first item I have from The Men Jail I will go from top to bottom to make it easier for me. My hairstyle is from Letituier called “Deric” and the best way for me to describe it if I was asked is that it is a bit of a new age mop do. It has a futuristic vibe or perhaps a throwback to the 80’s feel to it but it is bunch up at the top of the head.
My description of hairstyles is likely not a benefit but I always figure at least the visuals give a better representation of what is being sold; I would also say for the people that like outside the box type hairstyles then Letituier is the way to go then. They are often at TMJ so I get to see the differences from one release to another and when I want to try something that isn’t your basic barbershop style it is a quick go to.
Letituier – Deric Hair:
- Original mesh
- 6 color HUDs to choose from
- FATPACK also available
- Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19
There is at least one time to my memory that I recall featuring eyes by the brand, Gloom. I really do love eyes and the fact that it doesn’t matter if there’s tons of different stores out on the grid there is something for everyone. This store has also made quite a few appearances in previous rounds of TMJ and their eyes are totally worth blogging and letting people out there know they exist.
There are only a small handful of colors in this pack but I think what is offered in this pack will entice both those in the market for new peepers or those who like to dabble in role-play situations and want to give their fantasy look a bit of a boost. Also I think that Gloom having appliers for the major applier types helps as well because then no one is left out that might want to give them a try.
Getting a close-up of them was also important to me as well so that some of the detail could be seen. Farther back shots which I take when I want to get at least 3/4 of a pose that I’m blogging restricts getting a good view of the details as normally they wouldn’t be seen without getting extremely close in person either.
Gloom – Stargaze Collection:
- Applier HUDs for CATWA, Genus and LeLutka (sold separately)
- 9 colors to choose from (8 sold separately)
- FATPACK also available
- Left and right side applier HUD (can be mixed and matched)
- Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19
The baggy pants I have on are a particular style that I have not worn probably in a good while, possibly even more than a year or longer but RL Fashion released the “Baggy Pants” for TMJ and with the Unleashed “Crewneck Shirt” I paired them with made up my full wardrobe. Wearing jeans and slacks is easy and you can find them at every event but to take a step out in baggies is to me one of those “straying from the usual lane” that I tend to fall under.
One thing I can say for certain is at least virtually I don’t have to worry about wind because with these pants I feel that it would be pretty drafty especially in the winter months that I’m experiencing so there is a bright side there. Another thing that I can say in the positive for RL Fashions is they do offer an good range of different colors of these pants which may make it difficult for potential buyers but they are very affordable and picking up more than one won’t break the $L balance.
RL Fashion – Baggy Pants:
- Original mesh
- 12 different fabric colors (sold separately)
- Fitted sizes for Belleza (Jake), Signature (Gianni) and SLink Physique mesh bodies
- Exclusively @ The Men Jail until 01/28/19
Grafica Poses has two releases for Pose Fair in the January round (one of which is a male standing pose pack and the other a male sitting pack, of which I’ve chosen the standing to blog). Diwedd is a excellent pose pack that is straight forward and doesn’t have extremely crazy moments and while there is nothing wrong with that I felt that putting my arms behind my back is not a position I pose myself in often. 2019 is for me going to be a year of doing different things whether it be different styles of clothing, poses, skins or whatever happens to not be something I do regularly.
This blog pack is precisely 10 poses (five poses with five mirrors) that have really good fluidity and there were several candidates that could have easily made the photo I took turn out different but intuition when it is strong will not usually steer you in the wrong direction. I like the arms positioned behind the body which could indicate fidgeting or uncomfortability. Though there are people out there that tend to feel or act that way in a church which makes sense as well.
I would have posted the pose key with the blog but after looking on Flickr and through different medias there was not one with all the poses on it (only just one with the store ad I saw). Taking a trip to the fair will allow the poses to be tested and that allows for flexibility with purchasing.
Grafica Poses – Diwedd Pose Pack:
- Bento enabled poses (Bento viewer required)
- 5 different poses (5 mirror poses also included)
- Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19
This certainly was a lot to get through and I did my best to keep from word vomiting as much as possible but for those readers that made it this far you get the tasty metaphorical pastry of your choice! Having this many things to talk about and make sure the right information is presented adds a bit of difficulty to the mix. Many probably skipped to the good part and went right for the credits and if I didn’t enjoy reading and came to this blog I’d likely do the same thing.
On that note though I will end things with those previously mentioned credits and take a small breather before working one the next blog that has actually already been photographed (during the mass photo session of this past weekend). More awesome things to feature and hopefully get people excited about as I am excited about them (or what would be the point of blogging them right?)
May the conversations keep flowing and hope that this inspires people to get creative or go on a great shopping excursion! Bye for now!!!
