[#570] I’m Coming Home

Tell the world I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes

Skylar Grey, ♫Coming Home (Part II)

It’s been another inspiring day for me as I am writing this blog post and thinking about all the different places I’ve lived on the grid either as a teenager with my folks or through various relationships to currently with my lovely wife. Each one regardless of what kind of memories are attached to them are a part of me and will always be a part of me when I look back at my virtual time overall.

Right now I’m writing this as I’ve had to say goodbye to the lovely home I had on the Mesmeric sim for personal reasons we needed to part from it as much as we adored it and both Yoshi and Duckie, whom we were renting from. We were friends before becoming tenants and despite us going I am still going to drop by and say Hello to show them how much I appreciate them and their friendship.

The photo for the blog today is the last one I took as a tenant of Mesmeric, but for those who are into beautiful scenery for photography and easy people to rent from then I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting this site looking for a place to call home. In the 3-4 months I lived there, I enjoyed not only having some fun moments but also managed to get some really great photos that I used in entries for this site.

It is never easy to say goodbye to something but I know I speak for Brenna as well when I say that we truly loved being a part of this gorgeous place and look forward to seeing it continue to prosper as time goes by. Much love to the hard work that Yoshi and Duckie put into maintaining all of it, we adore the both of you and know we’ll miss it dearly.

For those blog I’ve got a double dose of Native Urban which consists of a recent release and a current still in event release. I will start with the most recent one as it is part of the Dec/Jan round of Uber and comes in the form of the “MKJ Sneakers” which any time Native Urban puts out new shoes I know that I’m going to enjoy figuring out how to style them because the All Colors packs are just chock full of ways to color the various parts of the shoe.

This time I decided to make it easy on myself and coordinate it with the colors in the “Drift” Jacket which also has just about as many ways to style it as the shoes. I likely spent over 20 minutes playing around until I got the right color swatches and match everything up. Coordinating outfits tends to be a lot easier than introducing a tone of different colors into a photo via clothing.

The Jacket also has emblems on it in different spots (sleeve, left breast plate, and the hood) that can be turned on and off as well as an inner shirt that can also be made invisible if desired but seeing as how I’m doing an outdoors pic and I’m not a liquored up crazy person (right now anyway) I made sure to leave the shirt as is.

I wanted to make sure that when I started doing blogs with items from Pose Fair that I hit it hard and I am off to a slightly slower start than I might have anticipated but I know that I’m going to catch up quick and hard with lots of great poses that will get my mind kicking more into overdrive then it usually already is; besides I took a few days off to recharge after posting several days straight which hasn’t happened since October but things are steady and I’m on a roll so believe me when I say it is just the beginning.

My last blog featured one of the sponsors for the event so I wanted to shine a light on another sponsor of the event. Most are familiar with the Luanes World sims which are highly popular for their ease of use for photography and being able to create stunning shots but the owner also creates poses as well which I’ve made use of here in the past as well.

“Do You Remember” which is a singles pose (that comes in the form of both a male and a female version) is a very nice pose that I would say is one that relies on reflection, a reason that picking it for this blog was important to me as at the beginning of the blog I myself was reflecting upon my time living on the Mesmeric sim.

LW Poses – Do You Remember:

  • Bento enabled pose (Bento viewer required)
  • Static and poseball versions included
  • Mirrored versions also in package
  • Exclusively @ Pose Fair until 01/31/19

Personally I cannot think of any pose for this scene that I could have chosen that would have been better than this one; it helps me get across the message I want to relay (at least to me I think it does). This isn’t meant to be a sad moment, nor really a happy moment but borderlining more on bittersweet perhaps. Change happens and we may like it or we may not but it is inevitable.

On that note I shall end this by exiting with the credits and sending out positive vibes to all my fellow conversationalists.

Much love,

B
