2019 is here!
I haven’t been this excited for the turning of the year than I have in a long time but that is because there are so many good things orbiting around my world. When I’ve made statements such as this before I’ve often felt that I’ve jinxed myself because things take a turn in the opposite direction but not anymore because it’s not meant to this time and this year will be a thriving one for my family and for the pages of this blog.
One of the things that I started to do in the later parts of 2018 is focus on one or two products within my photos (sometimes three if required); doing so has allowed for me to ramble less or be able to make the writing I’m doing more meaningful. When I drag on my focus wanes and then when I read back I’m disappointed regardless of someone telling me they enjoyed it.
So moving forward I fully intend to work on making this a better place for the male (and female) residents of Second Life to find quality items that will further enrich their experience in the day to day as well as in their creative photography.
For those who have stuck by me since the very beginning when this space was known as “The Saints of Fashion{ation}, it is greatly appreciated and it is with that purpose in mind to keep you informed as well as bring others new to this page something different that is not seen in other places.
Let’s get this kicked off shall we?
There are still a few days left of the Anti-Event and I wanted to share this fun little item from KAJU that is just one of the prizes you can win from the “JevJev” gacha. I’m not entirely sure what that means but I can say is that it is a pillow in the pattern of a duck which has several different colors and forms depending on the prize.
“Jeev Jeev Pillow – Yellow FAT PACK” is the prize that I am using for this blog and it is a pillow that comes in two versions one that you can have on your arm (as you can see) and one that can be placed on the floor to catch some z’s. I chose to take a nap standing up with the pillow wrapped around my arm but keep in mind that AO’s interfere with the use of this item so make sure to turn them off when wearing it.
This particular gacha has three tiers of prizes which start with the commons that consist of the Jeev Jeev pillows (Floor and On Arm versions) in Black, White, and Yellow separately. The next tier up is the RARE three color FAT PACKS with both pillows inside and the last tier is the ULTRA RARE PACK which contains all of the pillows in each color along with a version called “Pillow Fighter” that you can swat people around with.
Doesn’t that sound like fun?
I imagine I would annoy the crap out of everyone by whacking them with a duck like pillow so maybe that’s not the best thing for me to have and also a good thing that it wasn’t a part of the blogger pack for the event, however, I think for anyone that plays the machine and wins it will have a ton of fun and that’s what helps make SL a better place. Have fun, don’t stress, and just keep the company of those who better your life.
Considering that the pillow is the only new item that is a part of my look it’s made this blog a lot easier to write and get me to the point where I can consider it finished and a done deal. Now to just leave the credits so everyone knows where to go to find all the items you can find on my person. I also want to say how much I really love the BATTLESCARS recent windlights which range from the decor ones (which are very helpful), to the premium ones that are well worth the price of purchase that include the STARS and ILLINOIS sets.
One last thing I want to say before I sign off on this post is that I chose The Cranberries song “Dreams” for a few reasons. One of which is because I never truly did a tribute to Delores O’Riordan when she passed away last year. Their music was a part of the era that I’ve said many times helped me navigate through my teenage years and while at the time I likely didn’t appreciate it as much, as I have gotten older the fonder I get for a lot of the artists from back then. Her voice was unique and soothing when it needed be and raw at other times in songs such as “Zombie”.
Many of the artists I hold dear from that time have moved on in one form or another but the imprint they’ve left upon those of us who were there and to those who are now discovering them now that can empathize with what the message is. Voices like Dolores’ and Chris Cornell’s are likely not to be discovered for a long time and maybe not even my lifetime.
Also this song speaks to me on an emotional level because I feel what’s being sung, I have found something magical in my life and I sound like a scratched record but its really true. I have someone at my side that motivates and picks me up when I’m running low and she’s my dream that I am forever grateful for being able to have this opportunity.
Ok so enough of that sentimental stuff now because I’ve reached the end of the road on this blog but there’s plenty more in store with this being the start of what I hope is a creative year.
