The one thing I knew after having such a huge and thought provoking post last time out, I felt like I really needed to come up with something strong to follow up with. I had my hair style and clothing but the one thing I needed was a setting. I looked through some of my resources and came across a sim I know I have never done any pics at so that was my destination…or so I hoped.
The Whole Wheat sim is a cornucopia of different settings all wrapped up into one and just randomly picking a door to go through I found a nice little place to set up shop. I really started getting a vibe with all the abandoned junk and debris which had things such as a cassette player and a record player that had been discarded and left abandoned. It was then that I finalized my look and knew that the pose set I wanted to use would work just right with the setting.
Recently I came across an ad that Chat Noir poses was looking for bloggers and before that I had been to their store to see if they had anything knew in male poses that I did not own. I came across pose set “1760” which was for guitar poses. I’m not going to turn down a guitar pose set even if I have other ones at my disposal as this is something new and not like others I have (a plus being it is bento enabled).
While there is no guarantee that I’ll get selected as a blogger I certainly hope that they see what I can do with their poses as I am a fan and enjoy the work they do.
With that said all the boxes for what I needed for this shoot were checked and I happily took quite a few shots from different angles and tested out different lighting but I feel the one I ended up with along with some minor magic with the help of the Nik Collection, I was able to capture a good photo.
When it comes to events I don’t always walk out with a purchase (even when I’ve looked at the shopping guide before hand). Most of the ones I go to outside of the usual all male variety can be hit and miss as far as male objects. Colabor88 is one of those events where every now and then something will catch my eye (usually footwear from some of my favorite designers as is the case for this post).
Vale Koer released a new pair of boots called the “RAINYDAY” boots and if anything was worth fighting the madness of trying to get in on the first day…these would be a good reason. When something in the virtual world reminds me of an item I own or have owned in the past and no longer have comes along I don’t hesitate. For a long time I had a pair of boots like this and wore them for many years, they got me through some of the last few years of High School and ended up being something I wore to work until they were finally done in for good. While I probably will most often wear the regular version of these or all black, it’s nice to know that I have other options in the FATPACK to entertain myself with on a whim.
Besides the Vale Koer boots, the rest of my outfit is completely from my brand partner, {COLD-ASH}, which I am wearing one new product and one previous product that has been updated to fit the Belleza body. The jeans work fantastic with the boots which I don’t think I could have planned any better than I did but my focus is more on the button down shirt which I guess you could say is also a previous product but it is different because it’s got a new coat of paint so to speak.
The Taylor shirt which I proudly wore in one of my favorite posts, #440 (Whenever The Rain) has gotten a makeover and now along with the Classic Pack which you can get at their store, they have released a version with dotted, plaid, and check patterns for those of you who are into that style. I can admit the moment I saw it and put it on along with the HUD that’s included I was super excited. It was really hard to decide what pattern to go with until I chose the one you see in the photos.
In the above pic I’m also showing a second pose from the Chat Noir 1760 set. The ad shows an electric guitar but I felt considering the type of background I was working with an acoustic would suit my photos a lot better and seems to be the right decision.
Leaving the best (or what I consider to be) for last when it comes to brands is sometimes the right thing to do. This post features a new hair from the M-Cuts line of the Modulus brand which I’ve been honored with being able to use in my work. This hair is the second to be released at The Men’s Department along with “Carl” at the monthly event. They are quite the opposite of one another in the fact that with “Carl” the hair is swept to the left side of the head and with “Stefan” it is shorter in length and swept to the right side.
I did my best to provide the angles to show the hair off from front to back and also to note that it will work great with a very short hairbase style which you can find at the Modulus store.
When it comes to an overall feeling after you taken the photos and pulled them into whatever editor that is used to touch things up, I felt very confident that this is probably my second favorite blog post of 2018. Sure there are still ten more months left in the year (I know, I know I’m not trying to rush anything I promise) but if I am already at a place where I think I’m doing well then as time continues on there’s not telling what great visual stories will unfold on this site. You can now scroll down to the styling credits (if you haven’t already) and I’ll see you again on the horizon.
Onto the next conversation…

SHIRT: {COLD-ASH} TAYLOR Shirt (Dotted/Plaid/Check Fatpack) ✦ NEW @ Man Cave
The original Taylor shirt was a hit for me as I enjoyed the posts that I created while wearing it and as much as I love solid colors, I really enjoy prints and patterns that much more which is why having the plaid and check patterns for this shirt are super awesome. While I may not be crazy about dots I really like how these were done so there definitely a possibility that you’ll see me wearing one of them in a photo (if not on my blog then possibly just a random flickr photo).

BOOTS: [VALE KOER] RAINYDAY BOOTS FATPACK ✦ NEW @ Collabor88
A great well constructed boot set with tons of different options (coming from the FATPACK). You can put together just about any color combination you’d like by just clicking a spot on the HUD and selecting your desired color choice. One thing I can say for certain is when it gets to be the time of year where designers are making shorts more, I’ll be wearing this quite a bit in combination as most pants would make it difficult to wear these without having to do some adjusting.
TA – Code Guitar
I’ve had this for quite a long time and it’s actually mostly for decoration as it is an acoustic guitar with a stand. They do give you one to wear and use (which I made a copy of to be able to make it work with the poses). After all this time it still looks great and stands up well as far as early mesh objects go and was glad that I could use it in this photo shoot.
CN* pose 1760
Anything to do with music is something I’m going to normally purchase if the timing is right and these guitar poses from Chat Noir are very well done. There are 6 different poses with (mirror/alternate sides) that are a combination of sitting and standing poses. I have to note that a guitar prop is not included with the pose and I had to use my own but pretty much any guitar you might have in your inventory can work with the right adjustments (make a copy of it first just in case!!!).
