[#450] When She Says She Loves Me

After my last blog post which was something out of the ordinary for me, I’ve been getting a lot of feedback and all of it has been positive. Which has really put a smile on my face knowing that people are seeing my work and talking to me about it. Trying different things like that is what being an artist is all about and sometimes the risks you take work and sometimes they don’t. I’ve been happier with what I’ve been able to post here since the beginning of the year.

February is a month that hosts Valentine’s Day and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea mostly because of how commercialized it’s become. I think there are ways to honor it without being over the top just by finding simple ways of showing your significant other such as telling them how much you appreciate them. One of the things I’ve been enjoying is doing photos with Rosalie and being able to display them here every now and again; even though this is a male fashion oriented blog but it’s nice to have that women’s touch.

For a while I’ve wanted to use the song I chose as this the soundtrack for this blog entry. It’s been tucked away in my memory and in my trusty notebook of ideas that I keep in my desk and it’s just been waiting for the right time and now was the perfect time with some of the things I pulled together to complete the scene.

Surprisingly this didn’t take a lot of fuss to put together and it helps that Rosalie puts together excellent outfits so that when I ask for her assistance I never have to direct her; it is almost effortless other than setting up the right angles and getting the lighting the way I want it.  I feel that with the backdrop of the bowling alley that it makes for a great scene of a date night between two people who are very much one at heart.

To complete my look I used mostly all of the same visage as the last look (minus the lipstick and am wearing the regular Aaron skin as opposed to the baby face version). The clothing is mostly things I had in my closet save for the hooded sweatshirt which is a new item from Kustom 9, which it’s been a long time since I’ve purchased something from there so it’s nice to scatter my posts with items from different events to help get people their shopping on.

Rosalie is wearing mostly the same visage as most of her posts save for the hair; as for her clothing she has a double helping of her favorite brand, Neve, which her jacket/shirt combo is a new item that can be found at the Uber event.

As an afterthought I should have color coordinated with her better but then again I don’t really think we’re that kind of couple that has to match with everything we wear as I find that just a tad bit odd but I’m not against it either by any means. It just isn’t the type of style we go with.

What really brought this idea to me was the latest couples pose from my friends at Image Essentials who provided me with the first pose in their “Sweet Nothings” series of poses in which this one is available at the Truth Or Dare Affair 3 event that just started a couple of days or so. It really does capture the title of the pose as it is a very sweet couples pose that shows closeness and love between two people.

Another blog entry is in the books as I continue my journey to my next milestone and it shouldn’t be too far before I accomplish it as ideas seem to keep coming in more and more each day and I keep writing notes so I don’t forget them. Time for me to wrap this up so I can get back to working on the next scene in a day or so.

This hoodie had me agonizing on if I should get just one or purchase the whole thing. After milling around I finally decided to get the FATPACK which I’m sure doesn’t surprise anyone. There were just too many options that I liked for me to turn it down even if I thought it was a bit pricey as it seems most FATPACKS have become as of late. It comes with a HUD that gives you the ability to change nearly all the parts of the hoodie (which gives you so many options). I definitely recommend this to anyone who tends to wear a lot of this type of apparel.

One of the things I really like about the HME is that it’s not just clothing, there’s skins and shapes and tattoos and even poses as well as backdrops like this one. Rosalie and I both enjoy going on a bowling date every once in a while and this reminded me of that so I thought it would be a fun photo capture for the both of us and easier to use than trying to go to an actual alley and do a shoot. One of the touches I liked were on the sides of the walls with the neon signs which I thought were clever and well planned out. Combined with the Image Essentials pose it was a great setting and came together well.

One of the things I like best about this pose (and obviously I don’t use couples poses often) is that the angle of the pose you are able to see both the male and females faces as some poses normally lose that and with hairstyles sometimes covering up even more than that it makes it hard to see what the couple is truly expressing. Kay Weston is a very competent pose maker in the fact that she gets it right. Not just with couples poses, with the variety that Image Essentials releases which is why I am proud to be a blogger for them and create scenes which sometimes are not ones you would expect.
