Are you looking for something exciting to do on the grid that isn’t just shopping related? I’ve got just the thing for you then. The Indie Teepee event starts on the 21st of July and has everything you could ever ask for. Here is a list of just about all of the things you’ll be able to do and see at the event which is going on it’s 3rd year and the way I see it, it’s only going to get better and stronger.

– Almost-daily DJ sets and live performances
– Art installations by Bryn Oh, Nodnol Jameson and CyanideSlushy
– Thematic theatre performances by Guerrilla Burlesque
– Creative Forum
– Shopping
– Fashion show
– Machinima
– Speed dating
– And more to come…

I was granted early access to see what the scenery looked like and I even took a few pics other than the blog picture that you’ll see later in this posting. The photos I took honestly do not do this place justice as you need to come look for yourself and experience some of what Indie Teepee has to offer.

The above photo is the greeting area/landing point to the event, past this line there is magic that awaits you. There are three parcels that are visually stunning and whether or not you are an avid photographer or just like to snap pics in your free time, you’ll want to make sure you capture some memories of yourself and anyone you bring with you (groups of friends are certainly encouraged).

Other important things to mention about the event are:

– The Landing point (providing teleport HUDs and gift bags for the public)
– 3 beautifully designed parcels, each representing one imagined future.
– 2 music stages
– Special set designs for theatre performances
– An amphitheatre for talks
– Photogenic spaces for creating memories

Before I get to the photo I took for the basis of this blog I’m going to post a snippet from the press release for the event that I find very important and a good message. One in which I think makes this an event that helps bring people together through the love of creativity and music as well as art.
