Normally I really don’t like doing write-ups when I feel this site is more about imagery than words but I do feel I need to speak about one of the items featured in this post.
The “Defiant” hair from Exile was a part of the Pulse Night Club Fundraiser that recently ended and I had hoped to be able to feature it while the event was still running but sadly that was not the case; for those of you who weren’t aware of what I’m talking about I’d be happy to tell you.
Many great designers pulled together to host an event where a percentage of the proceeds benefit the families and victims of the horrific shootings at the Pulse Night Club in Orlando, FL. Many items were set for 100% donation, which shows me that the virtual community of Second Life is full of compassion, kindness, and love. I applaud not only the creators involved in this event but the people who came out and made purchases.
We have to show the world that hate is not tolerated and that love of all kinds should guide us. With that I thank Kavar Cleanslate of Exile for releasing the “Defiant” hair at this event so that I could use it in one of my works.
