I want to take a minute before we get to the credits here to say a word about a place that residents have been going to for several years to not only take photos for blogs, or just photography in general, down to just simply going to enjoy the view.

When I first heard about Frisland, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was back when my desktop wasn’t the best and I found myself not truly able to appreciate it then (because often I’d crash after taking a graphics heavy snapshot). Fortunately when I was able to put together a better machine, I was able to appreciate this place for the beauty that it holds. Since it’s opening and my discovery of it, I’ve come and taken a fair amount of snaphots for this blog; not only during the spring/summer months but also fall/winter which all were equally as beautiful as the next.

As I type this I still can’t believe that this place will be closing up on the 4th of June for good. It’s had times where it thought it might have to call it a day but something came up to help it champion many an artists eye. I thought maybe I would at least get one more in before the opportunity was no longer there and to write this as a sign of my appreciation for all the hard work the people behind the scenes put forth for the rest of us to enjoy.
